Important! Read the user instructions carefully before use. Save them for future reference. (Translation of the original in-structions)
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT:
Read these instructions carefully before use, and save them for future
reference. The manufacturer cannot accept liability for personal injury or
material damage resulting from improper use or failure to follow the
instructions.
- Even if the product is used in accordance with the instructions it is impossible to rule out all risk factors. For this reason the user must be familiar with the correct use of the product and its characteristics, and apply due caution and sound judgement when using the product. Risks include dropping, tipping or sliding of the load as a result of failure to secure it, overloading or imbalance, uneven or unsupportive surface, or the incorrect use of equipment.
- Read these instructions carefully before use, and follow all warnings and safety instructions.
- Always check the product before using it. Do not use the product if it is leaking, or if any parts are missing or damaged. Have the product repaired before using it again.
- Wear approved safety glasses (this also applies to onlookers).
- Make sure the work area is well illuminated.
- Determine the centre of gravity of the gearbox (see information from vehicle manufacturer).
- The angular adjustment screws on the lift cradle must only be adjusted by hand or ratchet — never attempt to manoeuvre the screws with a power-wrench or drill.
- Secure the gearbox in the lift cradle with the supplied loading securing system before lifting or lowering the gearbox.
- Centre the load in the lift cradle. Check that product and load are stable before working on the vehicle.
- Support the engine with suitable supports before releasing the gearbox from the engine.
- Never overload the product. Avoid shock loading.
- Only use the product on a level and hard surface with a sufficient bearing capacity. Before moving, lower the load to the lowest possible height and check that it is centred and stable in the cradle.
- Secure the vehicle with jack stands or pallets before working on the vehicle.
- The product is only intended for dismantling, assembly and moving (in lowered position) of gearboxes, mixing gearboxes and differential gearboxes/transaxle units.
- Only use adapters and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
- Always lower slowly and very carefully.
- Never crawl under the gearbox or allow any part of the body to come under it.
- Never modify the product in any way. Never use the product for anything other than the purpose it was designed for.
- Replace any warning stickers that have become illegible or lost.
- Always check the product before using it. Do not use the product if it has been modified, if any parts are damaged or missing, if the seals are damaged or worn, or if it leaks. All defects must be rectified before using the product again.
- Failure to follow all the instructions and safety instructions can result in a risk of death, serious personal injury and/or material damage.
- Failure to read and carefully follow in their entirety the safety instructions, other instructions concerning risks and reduction of risks, including the maintenance instructions, can result in fatal or serious personal injury and material damage.
IMPORTANT:
Workshop lifts and jacks are free standing devices intended for lifting and
lowering, but not holding, loads. Raised loads can therefore sink in time.
This is perfectly normal and is not a valid claim on the warranty.

DESCRIPTION
- Lift cradle
- Piston
- Cylinder
- Wheel stand
- Foot-operated pump
- Knob to adjust height
FIG. 1
EXPLODED VIEW
FIG. 2
ASSEMBLY
- Fasten the leg (19) in the column with the screws, washers and nuts as per the exploded view.
- Fasten the castors (17) in the leg with the screws, washers and nuts as per the exploded view.
- Fasten the column casing (41) in the top part of the column with the screws, washers and nuts as per the exploded view.
- Thread the lift cradle (1) on the column sleeve (41) piston and align the cradle hole to the piston hole.
- Air can get into the hydraulic system on the product during transport and/or when in use. This can cause the pump pedal to become spongy, whereby the lifting takes place in small and irregular steps when the pedal is pressed.
VENTING
- Open the lowering valve by turning its knob two full turns anticlockwise from its closed position.
- Pump the pedal 15 times, without a load in the cradle.
- Turn the height adjusting knob clockwise until the valve seats in closed position.
- Repeat, if necessary, steps 1 to 3 until all the air is expelled from the system.
USE
TO CHECK BEFORE USE
Always check before using that there is no leakage, that no parts are damaged,
missing or worn, and that there are no other factors that could affect
functionality. If the product has been overloaded, or subjected to a shock
load, have it checked by an authorised service
centre before using it again. Never use the product if it is damaged or worn, or if it is not functioning normally. Take it to an authorised service centre to be checked and repaired. The product should be checked every year by an authorised service centre. Only use spare parts recommended by the manufacturer.
HOW TO USE
- Lift the vehicle to the required working height and secure it according to the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer and these instructions.
- Place an approved support for the weight of the engine under the engine before removing or fitting the gearbox on the engine.
- Place the product with the cradle directly under the gearbox. Pump with the pedal until the cradle lifts and is almost touching the bottom of the gearbox.
- Align the fingers on the cradle directly under suitable lifting points under the gearbox. If the gearbox has an oil sump the fingers should press against the flange on the sump and not against the actual sump. Carefully pump up the cradle until it just presses against the gearbox and then secure the gearbox in the cradle with supplied chain. The cradle may need to be angled with the angle adjusting screws to obtain a safe contact between the cradle and gearbox before the gearbox can be secured in the cradle.
- Check that the gearbox is safely secured and that the chain is well tensioned before lowering or lifting the gearbox.
- Remove the junction between the gearbox and the engine as per the workshop manual for the vehicle.
- Check that all the connections between the gearbox and engine are released and then turn the height adjusting knob anticlockwise very slowly. Double check that the cradle and gearbox are free from cabling, wires, fuel lines and other parts of the undercarriage. Lower the cradle to its bottom position.
- Refit the gearbox in the reverse order and in accordance with the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer.
MAINTENANCE
- Lubricate at regular intervals the castors, height adjusting screws, joints and other moving parts (excluding hydraulic components) with grease. Wear as a result of inadequate or incorrect lubrication is not covered by the warranty.
- It is not normally necessary to refill with hydraulic fluid if there is no leakage in the system. Any leakage in the hydraulic system must be rectified by an authorised service centre without delay.
IMPORTANT:
Never use alcohol, brake fluid or transmission oil in the hydraulic system
—this will damage the seals and can destroy the product. Only use hydraulic
fluid.
- Make sure that the information, safety and warning labels on the product are intact and legible. Replace any labels that are illegible or have gone missing. Clean the exterior of the product with a mild solution of soapy water, but avoid the sliding surfaces and moving parts of the hydraulic system.
- Repairs of the hydraulic system must be carried out by an authorised service centre — contact the retailer.
STORAGE
Store the product in a dry place, protected from bad weather, corrosive fumes
and dust, standing on the castors on a level surface.
