SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Only use the fountain pump for its intended purpose, and always follow these safety instructions. Failure to follow all the instructions and safety instructions can result in a risk of fire, electric shock, and/or serious personal injury.

  • Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.

  • The user is responsible for any direct or indirect damage as a
    result of incorrect use.

  • Do not pump acidic or alkaline liquids, or water with a high content of chlorine. Such liquids reduce the life span of the product and can result in a risk of personal injury. Follow local regulations concerning the use of the product.

  • Do not use the fountain pump in salt water. Switch off the product before removing it from the water.

  • Do not run the fountain pump dry. This can cause irreparable damage.

  • Do not use the fountain pump if the power cord or pump housing are damaged.

  • Do not use the product without the connected tubes,
    or if the tubes are leaking.

  • The fountain pump must only be connected to an earthed power point (do not use unearthed power points or extension cords).

  • Do not repair or replace a damaged power cord.

  • The fountain pump must be discarded if the power cord is damaged.

  • Do not carry the fountain pump by the power cord.

  • Use a residual current device with a maximum tripping current of 30 mA.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance tasks may not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.

  • Follow the applicable legislation and directives when using the fountain pump in a garden pond or pool. Contact an authorised electrician in the event of any uncertainty. • The fountain pump must not be in use when there are persons in the water.

  • Outdoor use is only permitted in combination with a 10 metres long insulated rubber cable.

  • Switch off the power to all electrical products in contact with the water before cleaning or maintaining the fountain pump.

  • Switch off the product immediately if the wires are damaged. NOTE: The wires are not replaceable.

USE

Carefully read all the instructions and safety instructions before use, and familiarise yourself with the product and how to use it.
The fountain pump is supplied ready for use. Place it on level surface in the liquid to be pumped. To reduce the risk of the accumulation of slurry the fountain pump can be placed on a brick, or something similar.

MAINTENANCE

FILTER CLEANING

Clean the filter at regular intervals when the product is in use. Squeeze out any slurry from the filter unit and rinse with fresh water. Replace the filter if the water from the outlet is muddy.

CLEANING THE PUMP HOUSING AND IMPELLER

Clean the pump when slurry has accumulated.

  1. Remove the impeller casing and carefully pull out the magnetic impeller and then the ceramic shaft.

NOTE:

  1. The magnetic shaft is delicate – do not use force.
  2. Wash the parts with water.
  3. Replace the ceramic shaft first, and then the impeller. The magnetic impeller fits automatically in place.
  4. Adjust the shaft and fit the impeller casing.
  5. Carefully align the impeller casing to avoid leakage.
  6. Fit the filter unit and filter casing.
  7.  The product is now ready to use.

STORAGE

Im Empty all the water from the product before the winter to avoid malfunctioning as a result of freezing or the accumulation of slurry.25
