SAFETY & WARNINGS
- It is normal for the casing of this camera to exert heat during operation.
- This camera requires a name-brand Class10 or higher micro SD card. Format your SD card on the camera first before using it.

LIVE DV APP INSTALLATION
Live DV App
- The Live DV app allows you to control your camera remotely using a smartphone. Features include full camera control, live preview, playback sharing content and more.
Install the Live DV App
- Scan the QR code below to install the Live DV app. Alternatively, app on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Compatible Devices
iOS
- iPhone 6 (Plus), 6S (Plus), 7, X (above iOS 11).
- iPhone Air & Mini (above iOS 11).
Android
- Android 4X Quad Core devices (above Android 7.0).
Connect to the App
- Press the Power/Mode button to power the camera on.
- Press the Up/Wi-Fi button to turn on the Wi-Fi. After 3-5 seconds, the Wi-Fi icon, Wi-Fi network, and password will display on the screen.
- Go to your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and connect to the Wi-Fi network called ‘ACTION CAM_[XXXX]’ [serial number].
- Enter the password 12345678′.
- Open the Live DV app on your phone and press the Up/Wi-Fi button again to turn off the Wi-Fi.
Notes
- The camera Wi-Fi is a point-to-point signal source, which supports only one device connection at a time. If two phones attempt to connect to the Wi-Fi at the same time, one phone will successfully connect, but the other will not and may interfere with the transmission of the signal.
- The camera Wi-Fi range is relatively short (5-10 meters), and its signal will be affected by range, other signals, electromagnetic waves, obstacles, and other factors. 2 to 5-second signal delay is normal.
- When the phone and camera connect through Wi-Fi, the power of the camera will increase. The camera’s temperature will rise rapidly, and the camera’s battery consumption will also increase. This is normal.
- Due to phone systems constantly updating, the Live DV app takes time to update to be compatible with the new system updates.
- If your phone cannot connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi:
- Confirm that your phone and the camera are within 5-10 meters of each other.
- Disconnect from the camera’s Wi-Fi network and reconnect.
- Delete the Live DV app from your phone and re-install it.
Downloading Content to your Device
- Open the Live DV app.
- Tap ‘Folders’.
- Tap ‘Camera’ at the top of the screen.
- Tap the file you want to download.
- Tap ‘Save’
OPERATION
Micro SD Card Requirements
To capture video and photos, you need a micro SD card (sold separately). Use
name-brand memory cards that meet the following requirements:
- Micro SD, micro SDHC or micro SDXC.
- Class 10 or UHS-I rating.
- Capacity up to 64GB (FAT32).
Notes
- Format the micro SD card on this camera before using it.
- To keep your micro SD card in good condition, reformat it regularly. Reformatting erases all your content, so be sure to upload your photos and videos to your device first.
- FAT32 format micro SD cards stop recording when the storage of each file is over 4GB and start to record again on a new file.
Charging
- Connect the USB-C end of the provided charging cable to the camera charging port and the USB end to a USB power adapter (not provided) (5V/1-2A recommended).
- The charging indicator will illuminate while the battery is charging and turn off when the battery is fully charged.
- Charging time: 4-5 hours for a 5V/2A power supply.
Notes
- Ensure the camera is powered off when charging.
- Remove the battery before using the camera as a dash camera. Use a 5V/1A brand-name car charger.
Maximising Battery Life
- If the battery reaches 0% while recording, the camera will save the file and power off.
- To maximize the battery life, follow these guidelines when possible:
- Turn off the camera Wi-Fi.
- Capture videos at lower frame rates and resolutions.
- Use the Screen Saver setting.
Powering the Camera On/Off
Press and hold the Power/Mode button to power the camera on/off.
Remote Control
Place the remote control on your wrist for convenience during hiking, biking,
skiing, bungee jumping and more.
Note
The remote control is splash-proof only and has a range of 5 meters.
Powering the remote control on/off:
- Confirm that the camera is in Video/Photo Preview mode. If the camera is in Playback mode, the camera cannot receive the remote signal and cannot be controlled by the remote.
- Power the remote control on/off in the System Settings menu.
Record a video:
- Press the Video button on the remote to start/stop recording a video.
Take a photo:
- Press the Photo button on the remote control to take a photo. The camera will make a shutter sound.
Waterproof Case
- The waterproof case is designed for diving, surfing, snorkeling and other water activities.
- The waterproof case does not only offer greater waterproof protection to your camera, but it also offers extra protection against dust and scratches.
- When using the waterproof case, you can record footage 30 meters underwater. Your movement and photographic effect won’t be affected by anti-surf pressure.
Opening the waterproof case:
- Open the black latch on top of the case.
- Pull the buckle of the case upward.
- Open the back cover of the case.
Closing the waterproof case:
- Close the back cover of the case.
- Pull the latch downward and secure it to the back cover.
- Press the buckle down.
Testing the waterproof case:
- Close the case (no camera inside).
- Submerse the case completely in water for approximately one minute.
- Remove the case from the water and dry off the exterior with a towel.
- Open the case. If the interior is dry, the case is safe for underwater use.
Notes:
- Remove the protective film on the waterproof case lens before use and prevent scratching the lens.
- To achieve better waterproof performance, the camera will not record sound when the waterproof case in on.
FUNCTIONS
Changing Modes

Power the camera on and repeatedly press the Power/Mode button to cycle through modes and settings. The modes will appear in the order below.

Swipe left or right on the touch screen to switch modes. The modes will appear in the order below.

In video mode or photo mode, quickly swipe up and down on the screen to enter the shortcut menu. Tap the mode to quickly enter. To exit, tap the icon.
Video Mode
- Video Mode is the default mode when you power on the camera. In Video Mode, press the Shutter/Select button to start/stop recording a video.
- Press the Up button to quickly turn off the camera Wi-Fi.
- Press the Down button to switch screens.
Photo Mode
- Press the Power/Mode button to switch to Photo Mode. In Photo Mode, press the Shutter button to take a photo.
- Press the Up button to quickly turn off the camera Wi-Fi.
- Press the Down button to switch screens.
Video Playback Mode
- In Video Playback mode, press the Up/Down buttons to scroll through the video files.
- Press the Shutter/Select button to playback a video in full-screen view.
- Press and hold the Up button for 3 seconds to delete the video.
Photo Playback Mode
- In Photo Playback Mode, press the Up/Down button to scroll through the photo files.
- Press the Shutter/Select button to view a photo in full-screen view.
- Press and hold the Up button for 3 seconds to delete the photo.
Settings
Navigating with buttons:
- Repeatedly press the Mode button to view the different Settings menus.
- Use the Up/Down buttons to scroll through the sub-menus.
- Press the Shutter/Select button to enter a sub-menu or select the desired option.
- In the Exit Menu, press the Shutter button to exit Settings.
Navigating with the touch screen:

When the camera is in Video/Photo Mode, tap the settings icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to enter to the System Settings Menu.

Tap the icons on the bottom of the screen to switch to different settings menus.

Tap the return icon to exit the menu.

Tap to enter a sub-menu and select the desired option.

Swipe up or down on the screen to flip the page.
Video Settings:
- Video Resolution: 4K 30/2.7K 30/1080P 60/1080P 60(9:16)/1080P 30/1080P 30(9:16) 720P 120.
- Looping Video: Off/ 1 minute/3 minutes/5 minutes.
- Pre-record: On/Off.
Note:
- This camera is equipped with an EIS (Electronics Image Stabiliser) function with a 3-axis gyroscope to detect motion changes. EIS only supports 2.7K 30fps/1080P 60/30fps and is enabled by default.
- This camera cannot play vertical video files such as 1080P60 (9:16)/1080P30 (9:16). This type of file needs to be downloaded or copied to a computer or phone for playback.

- Photo Resolution: 20M/16M/14M/12M.
- Continuous Lapse: Off/2s/5s/10s/30s/60s.
- Self-timer: Off/5s/10s/20s.
System Settings:
- Language: English
- Volume: 0~10.
- Remote Control: On/Off.

- Screen Saver: Off/30 seconds/1 minute/3 minutes.

Playback on the Camera
Playback using buttons:
- Enter Video or Photo Playback mode. If your SD card contains a lot of content, it might take some time to load.
- Press the Up/Down buttons to scroll through the video or photo files.
- Press the Shutter button to open the video or photo in full-screen view.
- To return to the gallery, press the Mode button.
- To exit the gallery, press the Mode button.
Playback using the touch screen:
In Video or Photo mode, tap the playback icon in the lower-left corner of the
screen to quickly enter the Video Playback Menu, or tap the photo icon in the
upper left corner to enter the Photo Playback menu. Then, tap the desired file
to playback.
Note:
This camera cannot play vertical format video files such as 1080P60
(9:16)/1080P30 (9:16). This type of file needs to be downloaded or copied to a
computer or phone for playback.
Playback on the Computer
- Option 1: Transfer your files to a computer by card reader.
- Option 2: Connect the camera to your computer using the provided USB-USB-C cable.
Notes:
- This camera may not be compatible with files from other cameras or devices.
- Playback resolution depends on the resolution of the device and its ability to play back that resolution.
- It is strongly recommended to use QuickTime Player to play back video files on your computer.
Delete a File on the Camera
- Enter Video or Photo Playback mode. If your SD card contains a lot of content, it might take some time to load.
- Press the Up/Down buttons to locate the file you want to delete.
- Press and hold the Up button. The screen will display Delete Selected File. YES/NO
- Press the Shutter button to delete the selected file.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
- Keep the white silicone seal ring on the waterproof case clean. A single hair or grain of sand may cause a leak.
- If the white silicone seal ring is hardened, deformed, or damaged, stop using the case.
- Dry the waterproof case after use to prevent rusting and reduce the waterproof performance.
- After use in seawater, rinse the outside of the case with fresh water and then dry. This will prevent corrosion of the hinge pin and salt build-up in the seal, which can cause damage. Do not flush the interior with water.
- It is recommended to add anti-fog film to the case to prevent the lens from fogging in low-temperature or humid environments.
- Keep the case safe from falling or dropping.
- Do not expose the case to high temperatures above 80°C.
- It is recommended to replace the case depending on how frequently it is used and the environment.
