OPERATION, INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING PROCEDURES. WRITE THE PRODUCT
SERIAL NUMBER ON THE BACK OF THE MANUAL, OR THE MONTH AND YEAR OF PURCHASE IF
THE PRODUCT HAS NO SERIAL NUMBER

CAUTION: The distance between the fire and the firescreen should be at
least 12 inches
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH GLASS WITH BARE HANDS WHEN FIRE IS BURNING
USEAPROTECTIVEGLOVETO MOVE THE SCREEN IF A FIRE IS BURNING. JUST WAIT UNTIL
THE FIRE IS EXTINGUISHED AND THE SCREEN HAS COOLED NEVER PLACE THE FIRESCREEN
FLUSH WITH THE OPENING, IT SHOULD NOT SEAL THE FIREPLACE OPENING. IF USED IN
SUCH A MANNER, THE SCREEN COULD BREAK. WE RECOMMEND AT LEAST Al2 INCH GAP
BETWEEN THE FIREPLACE OPENING AND THE FIRESCREEN TO MAKE SURE THERE IS
ADEQUATE VENTILATION. THE SCREEN IS PRIMARILY USED AS A GUARD FOR POPPING
EMBERS AND TO HELP IMPROVE THE FIREPLACE DRAFT.
BARTON IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHICH MAY OR
MAY NOT BE RELATED TO THE USE OF A FIRESCREEN. THESE INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT
LIMITED TO, BURNS. INJURY. CUTS, FIRE, INJURY, OR EVEN DEATH. THE USE OF A
FIRESCREEN IN NO WAY GUARANTEES PROTECTION FROM POPPING EMBERS WHICH MAY CAUSE
AN ACTUAL FIRE; AND IF SUCH A FIRE OCCURS, HOME FIRES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR
ANY DAMAGES RESULTING. USE WITH CAUTION, ALWAYS KEEP AN EYE ON ANY OPEN FLAME
IN THE HOME, AND NEVER. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, LEAVE A FIRE BURNING
UNATTENDED.
