Safety Instructions

Warnings!

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and injury to persons, including the following:

  • This product is only suitable for indoor use and should not be used outdoors.
  • Non-professional personnel or unauthorized repair personnel may not repair or modify the machine by themselves.
  • Before plugging in the power supply, please check if the rated voltage matches the voltage in your home.
  • Keep at least 1.5 meters away from fire source or tinder, and avoid direct sunlight.
  • It is forbidden to be used near objects that are flammable, explosive, subject to heat, deformation, discoloration or deterioration. It is forbidden to use in places with severe dust.
  • It is forbidden to replace the power switch by the method of plugging (unplugging) the power cord plug.
  • To avoid overheating, it is forbidden to cover the heater.
  • It is strictly forbidden to insert any wire or other foreign matter into any hole in the machine to avoid electric shock.
  • Do not use the heater against the power outlet or under the power outlet; The power outlet should be placed behind the fan when the heater is in use.
  • Do not share the socket with other high-power appliances.
  • Do not use this heater around the bathtub, spray head or swimming pool.
  • This product must be equipped with a CE-approved fixed socket that is consistent with the rated working current. Do not use a mobile multi-purpose socket.
  • Fire risk when the heater is covered or incorrectly placed. Do not use programmer or timer that can be automatically connected to the power supply.
  • If the heater fails, please turn off the power and unplug the power cord immediately.
  • Before use, check the power cord and the plug. If the power cord is damaged, in order to avoid danger, the user must not disassemble or replace the power cord. It must be replaced by the manufacturer’s maintenance department or a similar professional.
  • Children, elderly people or patients who have lost their ability to take care of themselves should use this appliance under the supervision of an adult to prevent accidents.

Product Structure

This product uses PTC heating, sends heat by hot air, which can quickly raise room temperature. It has no open flame; thereby it is safe, efficient and energy-saving.

Getting Started

Location

  • Please place the fan in a level position. Avoid putting it on a slope or soft surface to prevent the fan from falling over.

  • Please do not use it in high temperature area with high humidity, such as bathroom or kitchen.

  • Avoid blocking the Air inlet and Outlet during use.
    Please keep the product far away from curtains, so that they will not block the inlet/outlet and obstruct the product from working.

  • Do not place objects within 1 meter of the Air Outlet to ensure that the volume of cool air will not be reduced. Pay attention to the effects on warm air blowing on objects.

Caution:

Safety System: This product includes an Overheat Protection Sensor, which is an automatic fail-proof safety protection that cuts off power automatically when the product is accidentally tipped over or overheats. If this sensor is triggered and the product stops running, unplug the machine and let the product cool. Check and remove any obstructions before restarting the product and be sure to place it on a hard, level surface.

Battery Installation Method

  1. Open the Remote Control Battery Cover;
  2. Load two new AAA (No. 7) dry cell batteries;
  3. Close the Battery Cover of the Remote Control.

Caution:

  • Do not charge this battery. Please keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, please seek medical advice promptly.
  • Please insert the battery +- orientation correctly.
  • If you will not be using the Remote Control for a prolonged period of time, remove the battery.
  • Dispose of dead batteries in accordance with local laws and regulations.

Operating Instructions

Turning On and Off

  1. Insert the plug into socket, turn on Power Switch and the product enters the standby mode:
  2. Press ON/OFF Button for 1 second, the buzzer will beep once and the product starts running.
  3. Press and hold ON/OFF Button for 2 seconds, the buzzer will prompt you twice, and then stop running after you release your hand.

Adjusting Speed Level

When the product is running in “Cool Mode”, press the “ON/OFF Button” on the unit to adjust the speed level among 1 to 9.
When the product is running in “Warm Mode”, press the “ON/OFF Button” on the unit to adjust the speed level among 1 to 4.

Oscillating Function

Press and hold the ON/OFF Button for 1 second, the buzzer will beep once and product starts oscillating.
Press and hold the ON/OFF Button for 1 second again, the buzzer will beep once and product stops oscillating.

Attention!

When using the Remote Control, please make sure to point it directly at the LED Display on the Control Panel for best signal reception.

On/Off

Sleep Mode

| Press Sleep Mode button on the Remote Control.

The display shows LL and the wind speed becomes lowest.

Press again to exit the Sleep Mode.

(You can also exit the current mode by pressing the Wind Strength + button.)

High Wind Mode

| Press High Wind Mode button on the Remote Control.

The display shows HH and the wind speed become highest.

Press again to exit the High Wind Mode.

(You can also exit the current mode by pressing the Wind Strength + button.)

Oscillation

| Press the Oscillation button to turn on the Oscillation Function. This fan can swing left and right 80°. Press this button again to stop oscillating.

Mute

| Press Mute button to turn on/off sound of product. The product will make a short beeping sound.

Cool Mode

| Press this button to activate the Cool Mode.
Note: The default starting mode is Cool Mode.

Increase / Decrease Speed Level

| Press the ‘+’ button on the left side of the Remote Control to increase airflow; press the “-” button on the left side of the Remote Control to decrease the airflow. There are 9 level settings for Cool Mode, and 4 levels for Warm Mode.

Warm Mode

| Press this button to activate the Warm Mode.
Note: In Warm Mode there is no Turbo Mode or Sleep Mode.

Raise / Reduce Temperature

| In Warm Mode, press the temperature button on the right side of the Remote Control to set the temperature (1-30°C).
Note: this button does not work in Cool Mode.

Timer

| Press the Timer button on the Remote Control to set 1 to 8 hours of timing.

Remote Control

Caution:

Occasionally, remote control frequencies for various appliances may overlap. To avoid this issue, please make sure Remote Control is not within range of other appliances (and vice versa), as:

  1. This product may react when using a remote device for other appliances.
  2. When using the Remote Control of this product, other electrical appliances may react.

The ON/OFF button on the Remote Control or Unit will only turn this product to Standby Mode, but not complete shutdown. Use the Power Switch on the base of the main unit to completely power off when product is not in use. If product is not in use for a prolonged period of time, please unplug the power cord.

Heating Mode Instructions

  1. Press the Warm Mode button and the display shows the ambient temperature;
  2. Press Temperature button to set the temperature, and the display will flash digitally, which can be set to 1-30 °C;
  3. 10 seconds after the desired temperature is set, the flashing will stop;
  4. Set temperature should be higher than the ambient temperature, so that the Heating function will turn on;
  5. When the ambient temperature reaches the set temperature, the Heating function will stop and turn into a cool breeze;
  6. When the ambient temperature is lower than the set temperature, the Heating function will automatically activate.

Set temperature > ambient temperature: heating function on.
Set temperature ≤ ambient temperature: heating function stops.

Note : The default setting temperature is 25 °C.

In the Warm Mode, when the ambient temperature is below 0 °C, the display only shows 01, Unit does not display negative temperature values. After the Warm Mode has run over 9 hours, the machine will automatically stop running. Restart by pressing the ON/OFF button or by using the Remote Control.

Caution:

Warm Mode: Please use Remote Control to set temperature, the Body of the product does not support this operation.

Connecting The Product To WiFi

This product can be controlled via smartphone with German Pool Smart Control APP.

Note:

To connect the product to WiFi, please use WiFi with a frequency of 2.4 GHz, does not work with WiFi with a frequency of 5.0 GHz.

A. How To Set Up The APP

  1. Connect your phone to 2.4 GHz WiFi then scan the QR Code below, or search “German Pool Smart Control”in App Store or Google Play to download and install the APP.

B. Change The Language

  1. Search “Smart Control” in Settings.

  2. Click “Preferred Language”.

  3. Select Traditional Chinese or English in the “Suggested Languages” column (Note: if user select “Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong)”, app will display in English).

Android System

App will appear in your preset phone language. If you need to change APP language, you need to change the system language in your phone settings.

C. Register Your Account

  1. Open the APP,click “Agree” on “User Agreement and Privacy Policy”.

  2. Click “Sign Up” to register your account.

  3. Enter your email address, tick “I agree Privacy Policy and User Agreement”, then click “Get Verification Code”.

  4. Enter one-time verification code from your email.

  5. Set up your password then click “Done”.

D. Pairing Sequence

Method 1: Auto Pairing

  1. Long-press the product’s On/Off Key for 5 seconds until Display blinks ‘‘F’’.

  2. Click “+” on the upper right corner of the APP homepage, then click “Add Device”.

  3. Before pairing, user must allow the App to access your Bluetooth. Tap on “Turn on Bluetooth” (if Bluetooth is already on, ignore this step).

  4. Tap “Go To Set” (if Bluetooth is already on, ignore this step).

  5. Turn on Bluetooth (if Bluetooth is already on, ignore this step).

  6. APP will show “Searching for nearby devices…”.

  7. APP will show “Discovering devices…”, click “Add”.

  8. Click “+” on the right of product name.

  9. it is recommended to allow the APP to access your location. Tap “Set Now” (if Location is already on, ignore this step).

  10. Tap “Allow While Using App” (if Location is already on, ignore this step).

  11. Select WiFi name and enter your WiFi password, then click “Next”.

  12. APP will show ”Being Added”, the product and APP will automatically pair up.

  13. When pairing is completed, APP will show “Added successfully”. Click “Done” to return to homepage.

WARNING!

If Bluetooth is turned off or App is not permitted to access Bluetooth, the product cannot be paired.
( Note : Even if Bluetooth is turned on, it does not mean the APP is allowed to access your Bluetooth.)

Note:

  • The product can only be paired to one account at a time. If another user pairs their smartphone to the product, the previous account will lose their control of the product.
  • User who has already been paired can share their control rights with other users. For details, see “E. Sharing Control”.

Note:

If APP cannot find the product, or during Pairing Sequence, if APP shows an exclamation mark icon, it means pairing is unsuccessful. Please use method 2 below for pairing.

Method 2: Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Click “+” on the upper right corner of the APP homepage, then click “Add Device”.

  2. In the “Add Manually “ column, find the product model that needs to be paired, and click the product to pair.

  3. Follow the instructions on the APP to pair.

  4. Click “+” on the right of product name.

  5. Select WiFi name and enter your WiFi password, then click “Next”.

  6. When pairing is completed, APP will show “Added successfully”. Click “Done” to return to homepage.

WARNING!

If Bluetooth is turned off or App is not permitted to access Bluetooth, the product cannot be paired.
( Note : Even if Bluetooth is turned on, it does not mean the APP is allowed to access your Bluetooth.)

E. Sharing Control

  1. On the product’s homepage, click “ ” on the upper right corner.

  2. Click “Share Device” under “Others”.

  3. Click “Add Sharing”.

  4. Set the number of users with whom you wish to share control, then click “Share with the Account Smart Control”.

  5. Enter that account’s registered email address, then click “Done” on the upper right corner.

  6. Repeat step 3-5 to share with more accounts.

Note:
On the “Share Device” page, you can add or delete other accounts’ control rights.

On/Off Key| Tap this key to turn product on or off (return to standby state)
Timer Setting| Tap this key to set the product to turn off in 1-8 hours, or cancel the timer
Oscillation Key| Tap this key to turn oscillation on or off
Mute Key| Tap this key to turn sound on or off

Cleaning & Maintenance

Caution: Unplug the power supply before performing maintenance.

Filter Replacement

After a total of 720 hours of operation, yellow indicator light on LED Display will blinging, indicating the filter needs to be replaced. After the filter has been replaced, long-press On/Off Key on the Remote Control for 5 seconds, yellow indicator light will turn off, and product will enter a new 720 hour cycle.

  1. Rotate the top cover anti-clockwise to unlock.

  2. Pull out the filter.

  3. Separate the filter.

  4. Assemble the new filter.

  5. Put back to the host

  6. Rotate it clockwise to lock it

WARNING!:

  • DO NOT wash HEPA filter with water or any liquid. DO NOT immerse HEPA filter in water.
  • DO NOT place this product and HEPA Filter in humid area that the filter is moist and wet condition.

Surface Cleaning

  • Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth; If especially dirty, dilute with a mild detergent and wipe with a soft cloth. Then wipe with a dry soft cloth.
  • Please do not put the product on a wet surface or let the product touch water, which may cause the machine to be damaged.
  • Do not use banana oil, benzine, alcohol, bleach or metal objects to wipe the surface of the product, which may cause discoloration of the surface.

Power Plug

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean.

Storage

  • If you will not be using the product for a prolonged period of time, place it in a plastic bag after cleaning;
  • Please avoid places that have vibration (eg. car trunk);
  • Do not place near electrical appliances with cooling / heating functions;
  • Please avoid placing it in direct sunlight, high temperature and humidity;
  • Please keep out of reach of young children.

Troubleshooting

WARNING!:

  • Before maintenance work, turn off the product and unplug product from power source.
  • This product must be installed and repaired by the manufacturer’s authorized after-sales personnel only;
    if consumers entrust personnel not designated by the manufacturer, or if consumers perform reparation work on their own, there may be a risk of personal injury or property loss.

Please fill out the form below. This information and the original purchase invoice will be required for any repairs. Warranty will be invalidated if information provided is found to be inaccurate.

  1. Customer who fails to present original purchase invoice will not be eligible for free warranty service.

  2. Customer should always follow the operating instructions. This warranty does not apply to:
    labour costs for on-site installation, check-up, repair, replacement of parts and other transportation costs;
    damages caused by accidents of any kind (including material transfer and others);
    operating failures resulting from applying incorrect voltage, improper usage, and unauthorized installations or repairs.

  3. This warranty is invalid if:
    the purchase invoice is modified by an unauthorized party;
    the product is used for any commercial or industrial purposes;
    the product is repaired or modified by unauthorized personnel, or unauthorized parts are installed;
    the serial number is modified, damaged or removed from the product.

  4. German Pool will, at its discretion, repair or replace any defective part.

  5. This warranty will be void if there is any transfer of ownership from the original purchaser.
