Product Information: Microwave Steam Sterilizer
The Microwave Steam Sterilizer is a product designed for sterilizing Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature and Advanced Anti-Collic bottles and feeding accessories (except bottle brush and any other metallic items) using a microwave. The sterilizer can hold up to 4 bottles along with the accessories. The sterilizer consists of a sterilizer base, tray, locators, and a lid with side buttons. It requires 200ml of water to be poured into the sterilizer base before use.
Product Usage Instructions:
- Wash all bottles and feeding accessories in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher (top rack only) before sterilization to remove any milk residue. Separate all components for washing and reassemble nipple and screw ring for sterilizing. Note: Do not allow the product to come into contact with oil-based foods (e.g. oil/tomato-based sauces) as staining will occur.
- Remove the tray from the sterilizer base and pour 200ml of water into the sterilizer base.
- Replace the tray.
- Place the bottle parts in the locators as shown.
- Place the lid over the sterilizer base. Make sure the sides of the lid are securely fitted over side buttons.
- Put the sterilizer in the microwave and select the appropriate wattage level based on your microwave’s power. Refer to the table for cooling time according to the wattage level selected.
- After the cooling time is complete, remove the sterilizer from the microwave carefully using oven mitts or gloves as it will be hot. Allow it to cool for a few minutes before opening the lid.
- Remove the sterilized items and shake off any excess water before use.

- Do not use chemical sterilizing solutions/tablets in the microwave.
- Always add 6.8oz/200ml of water before use. Ensure the unit does not boil dry.
- Ensure the microwave timer is set correctly on full power. Always allow at least 5 minutes cooling time before removing from the microwave.
- It is recommended that oven gloves are used to prevent scalding.
- When removing the sterilizer from the microwave, take care as it will contain hot water and steam.
- Place on a hard, flat heat resistant kitchen surface.
- Always open the lid away from you to allow the steam to escape.
- Do not use chemical sterilizing solutions/tablets in the microwave.
- If you have a combination oven, ensure grill is switched off and the oven has cooled before use.
- Do not use metallic items as this will damage your microwave.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Make sure that the microwave turntable is clean and dry before use.
Using your microwave steam sterilizer
Before using your sterilizer, please ensure that you read these instructions
thoroughly. Please read and retain this important information for future
reference. This sterilizer is designed for use with Tommee Tippee Closer to
Nature and Advanced Anti-Collic bottles and feeding accessories (except bottle
brush and any other metallic items). The sterilizer will hold up to 4 Tommee
Tippee bottles, plus accessories.
- Before sterilization, wash all bottles and feeding accessories in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher (top rack only) to remove any milk residue. Separate all components for washing and reassemble nipple and screw ring for sterilizing. Warning: do not allow product to come into contact with oil-based foods (e.G. Oil/tomato-based sauces) as staining will occur
- Remove the tray and pour 200ml of water into the sterilizer base.
- Replace the tray.
- Place the bottle parts in the locators as shown.
- Place the lid over the sterilizer base. Make sure the sides of the lid are securely fitted over Vside buttons.
- Place the sterilizer in the microwave, and microwave on full power according to the table below.
- Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before removing the sterilizer from the microwave. To release the lid press both side buttons.
- Wash your hands thoroughly before handling sterilized items. Take care as the items will be hot.
- Remove the sterilized items. The lid when removed and placed flat becomes a hygienic work surface for making up feeds.
- If the sterilizer is left unopened its contents will remain sterile for up to 24 hours.
