MOUNTING AND OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFETY-/INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Be sure to have a professional electrician complete installation. There is no warranty coverage for any lights installed without observing european safety directives.
- Switch off voltage prior to installation. Ensure that voltage cannot be accidentally switched on again.
- VARDAFLEX LED strips is suitability for direct mounting on normal flammable immovable surfaces, e.g. on wood and wood-based materials with more than 2 mm thickness.
- Before turning the power on, check all connections for correctness and short-circuit.
- Never operate the LED strips when rolled up.
- Cut the strips exactly at the specified severing lines.
- Please make sure that an appropriate flex cross-section for the connection between LED strip and controller is used.
- Do not exceed the operating temperature of +45° C.
- Please do not carry out any repairs yourself. Failure to comply may lead to voiding of the manufacturer‘s guarantee.

The outer jacket of the product has an expansion factor of 0.5%, e.g. operating length of 10.000 mm ≙ an expansion factor of ± 50 mm.

ATTENTION!
The LED strip must not be installed in a sagging manner. Installation by two people is recommended to prevent sagging.
INSTALLATION IN THE ALUMINIUM PROFILE:
Please reserve at least 5 mm for profile jointing to enable enough space for contraction and expansion. Install the screw into position and ensure the screw head is flush or lower the base of aluminum profile. Screw head above to the base of aluminum profile. Gradient installing of screw.
PROFILE TRANSITIONS:
DISTANCE FOR INSTALATION OFINJECTION-MOULDED INFEEDER:
Ensure that the ST, SL, SR, SU feed and the end cap are installed at a distance of 10-20mm from the end edge of the aluminum profile.
It is forbidden to force the ST, SL, SR, SU feed and the end cap of a welded feed into the profile and thus deform the LED strip light.
INSTALLATION ADVICE:
Install the light in one direction, no matter what kind of connector used. Don’t let it choke in middle.
The mounting distance of a feed ST, SL, SR, SU and the end cap of a welded version to the profile end edge must not be less than 10 mm.
The supply cable must not be installed under any mechanical load (tension).
It is forbidden to bend the cable with excessive force.
It is recommended to lay the cable only after 60 mm in permissible
installation radii.
BENDING IN THE PROCESS OF INSTALLATION:
The installation angle must be less than 15° while the LED strip is pressed into the profile by hand to prevent damage to the circuit board.
CUTTING THE LED STRIP
INSTALLATION ADVICE:
When cutting the LED strip, care must be taken to ensure that the cut is made horizontally on the PCB!
CAUTION:
Only cut the LED strip with the printed cutting line at the top.
The LED strip must be positioned so that it is cut with the PCB in a horizontal position.
You may only cut along the printed cutting lines and not between the markings.
An improper cut edge can destroy the product in the dividing unit and cannot
achieve IP protection with the aid of optional accessories.
INSTALLATION OF FEEDERS:
For the installation of optional feeders, please refer to the instructions for
the corresponding accessories.
