BATTERY PROTECTION
The battery circuits protect the battery against extreme temperature, excessive discharging, and over-charging. For the battery to be protected against damage and to extend its lifetime, the battery‘s circuit will disconnect whenever it is overloaded or if its temperature rises too far.

  • During the charging process, this battery will automatically turn off and all the LED indicator segments will turn off when the temperature is greater than 60°C or lower than 10°C. Wait until the battery reaches a normal temperature. Charging will recommence when the battery returns to the specified temperature range.
  • When discharging, the battery will turn off automatically when the temperature is higher than 60°C or lower than -20°C. All 5 LED indicator diodes will be lit for 10 seconds when the battery charge level button is pressed. The battery will start working as normal in both cases when the temperature returns to normal after the power tool is restarted.

WARNING
Under no circumstances is it permitted to heat the battery in any way.

OPERATION IN COLD WEATHER.
This lithium-ion type battery will provide optimal performance at temperatures in the range from 10°C to 26°C. If this battery is very cold, it may „pulse“ during the first couple of minutes of use to heat itself. Insert the battery into the power tool and use the power tool for light work. After approximately one minute, the battery will heat itself and will function normally.

WHEN TO CHARGE THE BATTERY NOTE
Lithium-ion type batteries are supplied partially charged. Before the first use of this backpack battery, charge it fully.
