Product Usage Instructions
Assembly
Step 1: Install the Legs
- Place the main body on a steady surface.
- Insert the power supply leg into the rear hole and press down to secure.
- Install the remaining two legs in the same manner.
Step 2: Install the Air Outlet Ring
- Place the fan on a stable surface.
- Attach the air outlet ring to the main body.
- Secure the ring by tightening the screw at the bottom using the Allen key driver.
Installing the Air Filter
- Remove the air filter cover by rotating it counterclockwise.

ASSEMBLY
Step 1: Install the legs
- Place the main body on the packing foam in a steady position.
- Insert the power supply leg into the rear hole position by pressing down the spring-loaded ball on the pillar and inserting it into the power supply hole. The spring-loaded ball will spring up in the hole and fix the pillar in place.
- Install the two remaining legs in the same way.
Step 2: Install the air outlet ring
- Place the fan in an upright position on a flat and stable surface.
- Install the air outlet ring onto the main body.
- Secure the outlet ring in place by inserting the supplier screw into the hole at the bottom of the ring. Use the Allen key driver to tighten the fan air outlet ring screw by turning it clockwise.
Installing the air filter
This product is equipped with an air filter that can purify the air. The
filter must be installed into the main body before use.
- Rotate the air filter cover counterclockwise to remove the cover.
- Insert the air filter into the main body.
- Replace the cover and rotate it clock- wise to secure it.
Filter cleaning reminder
The fan has a filter cleaning reminder function. After 720 hours of operation,
the cleaning indicator on the display will turn on.
Turn OFF the fan and follow instructions in the Care and Maintenance section
to clean the air filter.
After cleaning the filter, long-press the ON/ OFF button for 5 seconds to
reset the reminder and the running time will be accumulated from zero again.
OPERATION
Usage Instructions
- When using the fan, make sure that it is on a flat and stable surface. Damage may occur if it is placed on an incline or decline. Do not block the air inlet and outlet. Also, ensure that there is no obstacle within 30 cm in front of the air outlet to avoid weakening the air circulation effect.
- Adjust the air supply direction. Gently press forward or backward on the top part of the air outlet ring. The ring can be adjusted to direct the airflow upward or downward.
Power Connection
Insert the plug into a mains power outlet. Ensure that the voltage on the
specifications plate matches the voltage in your home. The fan will beep once,
indicating that it is connected to the power supply and is in standby mode.
Fan Control
Power
When the fan is on standby mode, press the power button to turn on the fan in
normal mode at the default fan speed. When the fan is in operation, press the
ON/OFF button again to turn it off.
Air mode
Press the Air Mode button to switch between four airflow styles. The indicator
of the current mode will light up.
Automatic mode
The fan automatically adjusts the airflow speed according to the real-time
detected PM2.5 levels.

Hi-speed mode
The airflow speed is set to the highest level.
Sleep mode
The airflow speed and noise are reduced to the lowest level.
Natural mode
The airflow speed switches between levels 3, 4, and 5 in turn. Pressing the
button again when the fan is in Natural mode will cancel any mode setting. You
can also press the Air Speed button to exit the current mode.
Timer
A timer can be set to automatically turn off the fan. The timer can be set up
to 8 hours in 1-hour intervals (0-1-2…8). Adjust the timer setting by
repeatedly pressing the Timer button. The current timer setting will be
displayed. Each press increases the timer by 1 hour; at the timer setting of 8
hours, pressing once will return the setting to 0. When the fan is turned off,
the timer setting is cancelled.
Swing
Press this button to set the horizontal oscillation angle. There are four
angle options: 30°, 60°, 90°, and 120°. The current oscillation angle will be
displayed. A fifth press will stop the oscillation.
Press this button to cycle through 9 air- flow speed levels from 1 to 9. Press
and hold this button for 2 seconds to enter the strong mode which keeps the
airflow speed at the highest level.
Remote Control Operation
Power
When the fan button is in standby mode, press the Power button to turn ON the
fan in normal mode at the default fan speed. When the fan is in operation,
press the Power button again to turn it OFF.
Air mode
Press the Air Mode button to cycle through four airflow styles:
“Automatic,” “Strong,” “Sleep,” and “Natural.” Pressing again when the fan is
in “Natural” mode will cancel any mode setting. The mode setting will also be
cancelled if the air speed is adjusted.
Swing ON/OFF
Press this button to turn the horizontal oscillation of the fan on or off.
Swing angle
When the fan oscillation is on, press this button to switch between the four
horizontal angles: 30°, 60°, 90°, and 120°. The current oscillation angle will
be displayed. Note that there will be no response if the fan oscillation is
off.
Air speed +/-
Press the +/- button to increase or decrease the airflow speed. There are 9
speed levels.
Sound ON/OFF
Press this button to turn the button pressing beep sound on or off.
Display ON/OFF
Press this button to turn the display screen light on or off. When the screen
light is off, only the PM2.5 level and power ON/OFF button will be displayed.
UV Lights
Press this button to turn the UV lights on or off. The UV lights will
automatically turn off after 1 hour.
Plasma
Press this button to turn the plasma function on or off. The plasma function
generates ions that attach to airborne particles, clumping them together for
easier filtration while also neutralizing bacteria, viruses, and odours to
improve overall air quality.
Light
Press this button to turn the atmosphere night light on or off.
Using the Remote Control to Operate the Bladeless Fan
- For the best results, aim the remote control at the fan’s display screen.
- Do not put any objects between the remote control and the appliance while operating it.
- Operate the remote control within 5 meters from the unit and within a range of 45 degrees towards the appliance.
Battery installations
- Open the battery compartment at the back of the remote control.
- Insert x2 new AAA 1.5V alkaline batteries, aligning with the polarity indicator markings (+/-) inside the battery compartment.
- Slide back the battery cover, making sure the locking tabs click into place.
Note
Make sure the batteries are installed correctly in the remote control by
aligning the +/- polarity marking in the battery compartment with the
batteries.
Warnings
- Keep batteries out of children’s reach.
- Use only alkaline batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Do not use old and new or different types of batteries in combination. Do not use the remote if the batteries have leaked.
- Remove the batteries if they are discharged or if the remote control is not being used for a long period of time. Dispose of used batteries immediately.
- Batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire, oven, or near any flammable objects as this may cause an explosion. Do not dispose of batteries in regular trash, municipal waste stream, or by fire as batteries may leak or explode.
CONNECT TO SMARTERHOMETM APP
Install App
Download the “Kogan SmarterHome” app from the Play Store (Android) or App
Store (iOS)
To register
- If you already have a SmarterHome account, select ‘Log In’. To register a new account, select ‘Sign Up’.
- The system will automatically recognise your country. If needed, you can manually select your country from the drop-down box. Enter your email address and tap Get Verification Code to continue.
- A 6-digit code will be sent to the submitted email address. Enter this code before the one-minute timer expires.
- Continue to the next page and complete your SmarterHome profile.
Set device in pairing mode
When the fan is first turned on, it may automatically enter pairing mode (the
Wi-Fi light will be flashing).
If not automatically in pairing mode when powered on, you can manually set the fan in pairing mode by pressing and holding the Power button on the fan for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi indicator light begins flashing.
Add device through network
- Ensure your Phone’s Bluetooth is enabled. Once registered, tap “Add Device” on the app’s home page, or the “+” in the upper right corner, to add a new device through the network.
- The app will begin searching for nearby devices, when the fan is discovered, tap QSG Design
- Enter your Wi-Fi details. It is important that your SmarterHome device and the app are connected to the same Wi-Fi network during setup. Notes
- The device and the app have to use the same Wi-Fi network.
- The device is only compatible with 2.4Ghz networks.
- Depending on the product, Steps 3 and 4 may be in opposite order.
- Ensure that the device is in pairing mode, with the Wi-Fi indicator light flashing,
- The device will commence the pairing process and connect to the app. Ensure your Wi-Fi router, mobile phone, and the SmarterHome device are kept close until connection is complete.
- After successfully being added, you will have the option to rename the device and listing to enter its control page.
Note : Once connected, you can select Create Scene from the “+” in the upper right corner (or from the Scene tab) to group connected SmarterHome ™ products and automate their functions.
GOOGLE HOME CONTROL
Note
You will need to have set up a Google Home account prior to linking your
Kogan SmarterHome device.
Adding “SmarterHome” to the Google Home app
- From the home page of the Google Home app, select the “+” icon (top left corner, see arrow in the below screenshot) to access the ‘Add and manage’ page.
- Select ‘Set up device’, then select the Works with Google’ option.
- Select the search bar and type ‘Smarter Home’ to locate the Kogan SmarterHome™ service.
- From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHome™ account using either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used to register your account.
- Select “Kogan SmarterHome™” from the app options.
- Tap ‘Authorise’ to grant Google permission to access the SmarterHome™ app and your devices.
- Once connected, the app will display any compatible devices linked to your SmarterHome™ account. From here you can assign them to rooms and set up any routines. Tap on any of the devices to view a list of available commands.
Note: Please note that Google Home can only control the base/core functions of any compatible SmarterHome™ devices. To make full use of this product’s smart functionality, please use the Kogan SmarterHome™ app.

Adding “SmarterHome” to the Alexa app
- From the home page of the Alexa app, select the “-” icon in the bottom-right and select “Skills & Games” from the sidebar.
- Select the search bar and type ‘Smarter Home’ to locate the Kogan SmarterHome ™ skill.
- Tap ‘Enable to Use’ to add the Kogan SmarterHome™ skill to Alexa.
- From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHome™ account using either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used to register your account.
- Select “Kogan SmarterHome™” from the app options.
CLEANING & CARE
Before cleaning the fan, you must switch it OFF using the Power button and disconnect it from the power outlet.
If there is oil or dirt on the fan’s main body, it must be cleaned to prevent discoloration and damage.
To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe them with a soft damp cloth. If necessary, greasy marks can be removed using mild soap and a cloth dampened in hot water. Avoid all types of harsh detergents, cleaners, or solvents that may contain chemicals, as these could damage parts of the product. Thoroughly dry all parts before storage or further use.
Do not wash any part of the product directly with water. Do not allow water or any kind of liquid into the fan’s main body.
Cleaning the Air Filter
To clean the filter, use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment. Gently
run the brush across the filter to loosen any built-up dirt.
The air filter should not be washed with water or any other liquid to avoid
damage.
