SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use!

  • Keep the work area clean. Untidy workplaces and benches increase the risk of accidents and injuries.

  • Consider the work environment. Do not expose power tools to rain and do not use them in damp, wet or explosive environments.

  • Protect against the risk of electric shock. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators.

  • Keep children, onlookers and other unauthorised persons at a safe distance from the work area. Do not allow children and other unauthorised persons to come into contact with the machine or extension cords. Keep all unauthorised persons away from the workplace.

  • Storing the machine. When not in use, store power tools in a dry, safe place, locked away out of the reach of children.

  • Do not overload the machine. The machine does the job better and safer when used at the speed and rate for which it was designed. Check that the mains supply corresponds with the machine’s rated data.

  • Use the correct tool. Do not try to use small tools or accessories for work that requires heavy-duty tools and only use tools for their intended purpose.

  • Wear proper work clothes. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing, jewellery etc. as these can get caught in moving parts. Wear rubber gloves and non-slip footwear when working outdoors. Wear a hair net if you have long hair.

  • Wear eye protection. Also wear a face mask or breathing mask if the work generates a lot of dust.

  • Protect the power cord. Never use the cord to carry or pull the power tool or to pull out the plug from the mains socket. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges.

  • Maintain a good posture. Keep a firm footing and proper balance at all times. Never stretch when working on equipment such as ladders and other stands.

  • Keep tools properly maintained. Keep all machinery and tools sharp and clean for better and safer work. Follow the instructions for maintenance, lubrication and accessories. Inspect tools and power cords regularly. Damaged parts must be repaired or replaced by an authorised service technician. Keep handles dry and free from oil, grease and dirt.

  • Disconnect the machine. Unplug from the mains supply after use and before carrying out service work or changing accessories.

  • Remove any spanners. Always make sure that no spanner or other tool is left on the machine before turning it on.

  • Avoid accidental starting. Do not connect the machine to the mains with your finger on the trigger. Make sure the power switch is in the OFF position before plugging in to the mains supply.

  • Extension cords. When working outdoors, only use extension cords designed and intended for this purpose.

  • Pay attention to what you are doing. Remember to use all necessary safety precautions and common sense. Do not use machinery if you are tired.

  • Inspect the machine before starting. Check for damaged parts and that all safety devices are in place before starting. Inspect all moving parts with respect to function and alignment. Any faults, damaged or defective parts must be repaired or replaced by an authorised service technician. Do not use the machine if it cannot be switched on and off using the power switch.
Warning! The use of accessories other than those recommended by the manufacturer pose safety risks to the user and could void the warranty.

  • Repairs. These power tools comply with international safety regulations. All repairs must be performed by a qualified service engineer and only original parts recommended by the manufacturer must be used.

  • Vibration level: 16 m/s², K=1.5 m/s²
    Always use hearing protection!
The declared vibration value, which has been measured by a standardised test method, can be used to compare different tools with each other and for a preliminary assessment of exposure.
WARNING: The actual vibration level when using power tools may differ from the specified maximum value, depending on how the tool is used. It is therefore necessary to determine which safety precautions are required to protect the user, based on an estimate of exposure in actual operating conditions (taking into account all stages of the work cycle, e.g. the time when the tool is switched off and when it is idling, in addition to the start- up time).

OPERATION

Fitting vibrator hose
Disconnect from the mains supply before fitting the vibrator hose.

  1. Connect the vibrator hose to the motor.
  2. Screw on the vibrator hose’s screw bushing anti-clockwise on the motor thread.
  3. Connect the power cord. If an extension cord is used, ensure that it is properly dimensioned for the purpose.

Vibration
Check before starting that there are no mechanical or electrical installations where the vibrator is to be used. Do not hold the vibrator by the power cord. This is to avoid damage to the electrical connections.

  1. Grip the motor handles and press the power switch.
  2. Place the vibrator head in the concrete immediately. The vibrator is cooled through contact with the concrete.
  3. Move the vibrator head up and down in the concrete to remove air bubbles.
  4. Turn off the vibrator when you have finished.
  5. Clean the vibrator head after use. Do not expose the vibrator’s motor to wet conditions.
If the vibrator head does not move on start-up, tap it until it moves. If it still does not move, turn off the vibrator and check the mechanical connection and mains connection.
NOTE! If the vibrator gets stuck in the concrete when removing it from the concrete, do not pull it but move it around until you can take it out without any problems. This is to avoid damage to the vibrator hose.

MAINTENANCE

Inspect the wall plug, power cord and power switch before use. Clean the vibrator after each use. After 100 hours of operation, the vibrator head and vibrator hose will need cleaning and lubricating. Repair work and servicing must be performed by a qualified service technician.
