Cleaning, Maintenance and Care

CLEANING YOUR DEVICE

  • Wipe sweat from the machine with a damp cloth after each use.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents to wipe down the machine.

Caution : Do not allow moisture to enter electrical or electronic components.

DEVICE MAINTENANCE
Before and after each use, you must check that the machine is in good working condition. Use the following procedure:

  • Inspect the machine to make sure it has all the necessary parts.
  • Check that all protective covers and mounting hardware are intact and in place.
  • Verify that all fasteners are tight. Tighten any loose screws immediately.
  • Before each workout, check that the safety clip is in proper working order as follows:
    • Stand on the sides of the machine.
    • Start the treadmill at a slow speed.
    • Pull the safety clip out of the console. The treadmill should stop immediately and not restart.

Warning : Do not operate the machine unless you are certain that it is not defective or incomplete.

DEVICE SERVICING
For proper operation and long life, the treadmill belt must be adequately lubricated with silicone oil. Thin tubes are located on the bottom of the machine to act as a lubrication system.
Note: Use ONLY silicone oil to lubricate the running belt.

Lubrication and Inspection Intervals

  • Refill with silicone oil after the first 25 hours of operation (or 2-3 months).
  • Check lubrication regularly.
  • Add silicone oil at least every 50 hours of operation (or 5-8 months).

Checking the Lubrication

  • Make sure the power plug is unplugged.
  • Lift the belt on one side. Run your finger over the top of the deck under the belt.
  • If the deck feels slightly oily, lubrication is adequate.
  • Add silicone oil if the deck feels dry.

Refilling Silicone Oil

  • Turn off the machine and unplug the power cord.
  • Fold up the machine.
  • There are two red openings on the bottom of the machine.
  • Pour a few drops of silicone oil into each opening. Wipe off excess silicone oil if necessary.
  • Unfold the machine and let it run for a few minutes.
  • Check the lubrication.

ADJUSTING THE RUNNING BELT
The running belt is adjusted correctly at the factory. After prolonged use the belt stretches and needs to be readjusted. There are two adjustment screws for the rear tensioner located behind a cover on the base unit. To center the belt on the tread and adjust its tension, follow these steps:

  • Turn on the machine and allow it to run at 4 – 6 km/h.
  • If the running belt runs too far to the left, turn the left adjustment screw clockwise ¼ turn with the supplied Allen wrench.
  • If the running belt runs too far to the right, turn the right adjustment screw ¼ turn clockwise with the supplied Allen wrench.
  • Turn both screws until the treadmill is centered on the belt.
  • Run on the treadmill.
  • Tighten the two adjustment screws evenly on both sides until the belt does not slip.

Disposal

Dear customers,
As an end user, you are legally obliged to collect waste electrical and electronic equipment and batteries as well as accumulators separately from municipal waste. We want to make this as easy as possible for you. Please note the information on this page and on the back.
Notes on EU directive 2012/19/EU – in Germany implemented in ElektroG (Law about electric and electronic devices); elsewhere implementation may differ)

We advise owners of electric and electronic equipment that waste electrical and electronic equipment must be collected separately from municipal waste in accordance with the applicable legal regulations. The symbol of a crossed-out garbage can, which is shown on waste electrical and electronic equipment, also indicates the obligation to collect this waste separately.
Notes on disposal and symbols for an electrical appliance based on EU Directive 2006/66/EU (in Germany in accordance with the Battery Act (BattG); elsewhere, implementation may differ)

Old batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of with household waste. As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries. The symbol with the crossed-out garbage can means that you are not allowed to dispose of old batteries in the household waste.

Use the official collection points for this, such as the collection points of public waste disposal carriers. You can also return used batteries to retail outlets, provided they sell batteries. If the symbol Cd, Hg, or Pb is displayed under the symbol of the crossed-out garbage can, this is an indication that the battery contains either cadmium, mercury or lead. These are toxic heavy metals that not only pose significant risks to the environment but also to human health.

Recycling loop
Packaging material can be conveyed back to the raw material cycle. Dispose of packaging material in accordance with legal provisions. Information can be retrieved from the return or collections systems of your community.
