ASSEMBLING THE AIR SPRING

REMOVING THE JOUNCE BUMPER AND INSTALLING THE FRAME BRACKET

STEP 1. Raise the vehicle and support it using safety stands so that the axle can be safely dropped away from the frame, and the air spring assemblies can be put into position between the leaf spring and frame.
STEP 2. Remove the current jounce bumper from the vehicle.
STEP 3. Install the driver’s side upper mounting bracket ( of the Air spring bag kit list) to the frame with bolts.

PLACING THE ASSEMBLY ON THE AXLE

STEP 1. Slide the air spring assembly into place and align the bolt holes in the frame bracket with those in the upper bracket. To facilitate easier access, you may consider pre-installing the air line tube to the air fitting at this point.
STEP 2. Attach the upper bracket to the frame bracket by inserting the hex head bolt ( of the Air spring bag kit list) through the aligned holes on both brackets. Secure it in place as demonstrated using the flange lock nuts ( 1 4 of the Air spring bag kit list).

INSTALLING THE LOWER BRACKET

STEP 1. Install the bracket straps ( of the Air spring bag kit list) to the axle with the carriage bolt ( of the Air spring bag kit list). Then tighten the flange nut ( of the Air spring bag kit list)
STEP 2. Cut the air line appropriately and push the hose into the fitting, then pull back and make sure it’s locked in place.
STEP 3. Install the inflatable valve bracket ( of the Air spring bag kit list) with nylon tie in a selected location, usually at the rear of the vehicle. Then install the Inflation valves on the bracket.
