1. Read all instructions before using the Wildlife Camera.

2. The Wildlife Camera is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product by a person responsible for their safety.

3. Do not use the Wildlife Camera for anything other than its intended use.

4. Do not pull or carry the Wildlife Camera by the USB-A to USB-C cable.

5. Do not use the cable as a handle, close a door on the cable or pull the cable around sharp edges or corners.

6. Do not immerse the Wildlife Camera in water or any other liquids.

7. Repairs to the Wildlife Camera should only be performed by qualified personnel.
   Improper repairs may place the user at serious risk and will void the warranty.

8. Do not use the Wildlife Camera if it has been dropped or damaged in any way.

9. This product is not a toy. Keep the Wildlife Camera out of reach of children.

10. This product is not user-serviceable. Contact with high voltage components may cause a risk of electric shock, therefore, do not attempt to open the cover of the Wildlife Camera.

11. The manufacturer and retailer are not responsible for any eventual damages caused by improper or faulty use.

12. Do not place the Wildlife Camera near a hot burner (gas or electric), or other heat emitting sources or open flames.

13. Keep the USB-A to USB-C cable away from heated surfaces.

14. Do not bend or damage the USB-A to USB-C cable.

15. Never force the USB-A to USB-C cable into an outlet.

16. The built-in battery is not replaceable, do not attempt to replace it.

NOTE: The Wildlife Camera has a built-in battery which can be charged either by solar power or with an external USB power source using the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable. The Wildlife Camera itself does not support the charging of external batteries which are inserted in its battery compartment.

NOTE: This product requires 4 x Alkaline (AA/LR6) batteries (not supplied) for back up power when the built-in battery power is too low. When replacing older batteries, we recommend substituting with new 4 x Alkaline (AA/LR6) batteries (1.5V each).

WARNING: Danger of explosion if the batteries are incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type of battery.
WARNING: Do not expose batteries to excessive heat, direct sunlight, open flames, or any other heat sources.

Viewing Screen Indicators

NOTE: When the built-in battery power is low, the Wildlife Camera will automatically switch to the AA Alkaline battery power supply (if there are AA Alkaline batteries installed). If the AA Alkaline battery available power is less than 30%, the Wildlife Camera will stop or reduce night shooting. It is recommended to regularly check the Alkaline battery usage icon (in SETUP mode) to ensure there is enough AA Alkaline battery power to support operation in the situation where the built-in battery power is too low.

NOTE: The Wildlife Camera automatically defaults to the built-in battery. It will automatically switch to AA Alkaline battery power (if the 4 x AA LR6 batteries are installed) once the built-in battery power drops to 10%.

Operating Buttons

• Press the button once access the images and videos recorded on the micro SD card (playback mode).
• Press the button once again to access the menu options and settings.

• Press the and buttons to cycle through the main menu list (at the top of the viewing screen).
• When navigating the sub menu options that require the time or date to be set, use the and buttons to cycle or toggle between the time and date options.

• Use the or buttons to navigate through the the sub menu options and settings for each of the main menu options.
• Use the or buttons to select the time for HH : MM : SS.
• Use the or buttons to enter the date for YYYY / MM / DD.
• When viewing photos and videos in playback mode use the or buttons to scroll through the photos and videos saved on the micro SD card.

** • Slide the switch to the far left to select the OFF mode. In this mode the camera will completely power off.
• Slide the switch to the centre position to select the SETUP mode. In this mode you can view the photos and videos saved on the micro SD card or access the main menu and sub menu options to update the settings of the camera.
• Slide the switch to the far right to select the ON mode. In this mode the camera is activated to shoot photos and videos automatically (live mode).

NOTE: A micro SD card must be inserted into the memory card slot in order to take and save photos or video recordings.

GETTING STARTED

Before First Use
Prior to using your Wildlife Camera, please read all safety and operating instructions thoroughly. Please ensure you follow the steps below before using this device.

1. Unpack the product but keep all packaging materials until you have made sure your new Wildlife Camera is undamaged and in good working order.
2. Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and children, so ensure all packaging materials are kept out of their reach.
3. Remove the protective film from the Wildlife Camera camera lens, LEDs and PIR sensor by pulling the protruding tab, and dispose of thoughtfully.
4. We recommend you keep the original packaging for storing your Wildlife Camera when not in use.

NOTE: It is EXTREMELY important that ALL protective film is removed from the camera lens, LEDs and the sensor. The Wildlife Camera will not function properly if the film is not removed and the photos and videos will come out blurry.

Opening and Closing the Wildlife Camera
The memory card slot, USB-A to USB-C port, operating buttons and battery compartment are located inside the protective case of the Camera.

1. To open the protective case, firmly lift each locking tab until they release and open the Wildlife Camera protective case.
2. To close the protective case, firmly press each locking tab until they ‘click’ into position and the camera case is now closed.

NOTE: There is a hole located between the two locking tabs where you can attach a lock to secure the Wildlife Camera in the closed position to prevent any tampering.

Memory Card Installation
The Wildlife Camera uses a micro SD card for data storage. A memory card must be inserted in order to take and save photos or video recordings.
Insert the micro SD card (supplied) into the Wildlife Camera before switching ON or setting up the camera settings.

1. Release the locking tabs on the side of the Wildlife Camera and open the protective case.
2. Insert the micro SD card (supplied) into the micro SD card slot located on the bottom of the (open) Wildlife Camera ensuring that the card contacts are facing down and the label on the micro SD card is facing upwards (Fig. 1).
3. Gently push the micro SD card into the slot until you hear a ‘click’ and the card remains in place.
4. To remove the micro SD card, push the micro SD card inwards gently, and it will pop out automatically. At this time, you can carefully remove the card.
5. Close the protective case and firmly press the locking tabs into position.

NOTE: The easiest way to insert and remove the micro SD card is by using your thumbnail or fingernail.
NOTE: An 8GB micro SD card has been included for your instant enjoyment. If a larger capacity micro SD card is required, please ensure that it is a high quality (class 10 standard or higher) micro SD card. Up to 128GB can be used in this product to maximise the effectiveness of this product.
CAUTION: Only insert or remove the micro SD card when the Wildlife Camera is switched OFF.
WARNING: Pay close attention to the orientation of the micro SD card. Do not attempt to insert it by force, it will only go in one way. So if the card won’t slide in easily, then it is not the right way up. Using force to insert the micro SD card may damage the device and the card itself.
CAUTION: Do not remove the micro SD card while it is saving or reading data. This may cause damage to the data or the micro SD card to malfunction.
IMPORTANT: It is recommended to format the micro SD card on a weekly basis to ensure ongoing trouble-f ree performance. Before formatting the micro SD card, copy and save your important files to other storage media.
NOTE: The micro SD card can be formatted in the Wildlife Camera without connecting to another device. Refer to the ‘Menu Options and Settings’ section on pages 21-25.
NOTE: Remember, photos and video recordings cannot be taken or saved and the menu modes and functions cannot be accessed, unless a micro SD card is inserted into the Wildlife Camera.

Inserting the Batteries
When the built-in battery power is low, the Wildlife Camera can be powered by 4 x Alkaline (AA/LR6) batteries (not supplied) which are fitted inside the battery compartment located inside the Wildlife Camera protective case. Refer to the below instructions for how to insert the batteries.

1. Release the locking tabs on the side of the Wildlife Camera and open the protective case (Fig. 2).
2. Ensure the camera is in the OFF mode. Push the tab on the left of the battery compartment to remove the cover. All polarities are marked inside the battery compartment for your convenience.
3. Insert the batteries into the compartment ensuring the polarities are correct (Fig. 3)
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and make sure it ‘clicks’ into position.
5. Close the protective case and firmly press the locking tabs into position.
6. The Alkaline battery status (inserted or not inserted) will be displayed in the bottom left hand corner of the viewing screen (when the Wildlife Camera is in the SETUP mode).

WARNING: Use only Alkaline (AA/LR6) batteries with the Wildlife Camera, other primary battery types such as Carbon Zinc should not be used.
NOTE: The Wildlife Camera does not support the charging of external batteries.
NOTE: We recommend using 4 x Alkaline (AA/LR6) batteries (1.5V each) for the Wildlife Camera. The Wildlife Camera is 5V.
NOTE: Do not use new and old batteries together.
NOTE: The Wildlife Camera will automatically switch to AA Alkaline battery power once the built-in battery available power drops to 10%.
NOTE: If the AA Alkaline battery available power is less than 30% and the bulit-in battery available power is less than 10%, the Wildlife Camera will stop or reduce night shooting. It is recommended to regularly check the Alkaline battery usage (in SETUP mode) to ensure there is enough AA Alkaline battery power to support operation in the situation where the built-in battery power is too low.
WARNING: Danger of explosion if the batteries are replaced incorrectly or with the incorrect type. Replace only with 4 x Alkaline (AA/LR6) batteries (1.5V each).
WARNING: Do not expose batteries to excessive heat, direct sunlight, open flames, or any other heat sources.
IMPORTANT: Dispose of all used batteries at designated disposal points. Never dispose of batteries in a fire as this may cause an explosion or leakage of dangerous chemicals and fumes.
NOTE: To check the inserted Alkaline batteries power, in SETUP mode, press the button. You can also check the Alkaline battery power in the ‘Menu Options and Settings’ section starting from page 21 of the instruction manual.

Charging the Wildlife Camera
The Wildlife Camera has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery which can be charged either by solar power or with the USB-A to USB-C cable (supplied).

Charging via Solar Power
The solar panel charging temperature is between 0˚C to 50˚C. The sunlight intensity and the ambient temperature all affect the charging efficiency. The solar panel requires around 7 to 14 days to fully charge the built-in battery. If the shooting frequency is too high during the charging time, this will in turn cause the battery power to drain faster than the charging speed.
To ensure the Wildlife Camera is set up for optimal charging via solar power, consider the following when setting the camera up.

• Ensure the solar panel on the Wildlife Camera is angled directly towards the sun.
• Ensure there are no overhanging branches or leaves that could potentially block the sun from hitting the solar panel.

NOTE: It is recommended to face the solar panel NORTH to ensure the optimum output from the solar panel across the course of the day, no matter what season.
NOTE: The built-in battery will come partially charged. It is recommended to fully charge the camera using the USB-A to USB-C cable (supplied) prior to setting up outdoors for solar charging.

Charging via USB-A to USB-C Cable
To achieve the maximum charge (100%), we recommend charging the built-in battery with the USB-A to USB-C cable (supplied) and then use solar power to maintain the built-in battery charge.
Insert the USB-C end into the USB-C port located on the bottom of the Wildlife Camera. Connect the USB-A into the USB-A port of the power source.
You can monitor the built-in battery power % within the SETUP mode on the bottom left-hand side of the screen. Refer to page 9 for an overview of the viewing screen indicators.

NOTE: The built-in battery comes partiality charged. However, it is recommended to fully charge the camera via the USB-A to USB-C cable (supplied), before first use.
NOTE: Remove all Alkaline batteries from the battery compartment before charging via the USB-A to USB-C cable (supplied).

Securing the Mounting Strap
A mounting strap has been supplied to secure the Wildlife Camera to a tree, post, or other objects.

1. Thread the mounting strap through the brackets located on the back of the Wildlife Camera (Fig. 4).
2. Position the Wildlife Camera in the desired location.
3. Lift the tab of the buckle. Thread the strap through the buckle, pulling the loose end of the mounting strap until the strap is tight (Fig. 5).
4. Press the tab down to lock the buckle and secure the Wildlife Camera into position.
5. To release the strap again, lift the tab of the mounting strap buckle and pull the strap back through.

Installing the Camera Mount
The camera mount (supplied) can be securely attached to walls, ceilings, posts etc. Please follow the steps below for how to install the camera mount.

WARNING: Check that there are no cables, wiring or piping in the wall etc. before you drill.

1. Mark the holes to be drilled (A), by holding the base of the camera mount against the location for installation.
2. Use a suitable drill bit to drill the holes.
3. Insert the plastic anchors (supplied) into the drilled holes so that they are flush with the surface.
4. Assemble and secure the stand to the camera mount base (E) (Fig. 6).
5. Place the assembled camera mount over the holes and screw in the screws (supplied) to secure the camera mount base to the surface.
6. Position the camera mount hole located on the back or bottom of the Wildlife Camera on the tripod bolt (B). Two separate camera mount holes have been provided, to increase the flexibility of mounting the Wildlife Camera. Partially secure the camera by screwing the tripod bolt into the camera (approximately 3-5 turns).
7. Adjust the Wildlife Camera onto your desired alignment and then secure with the counter screw (C). A spanner may need to be used (not supplied).
8. Release the 2 x hinge screws (D) slightly to adjust the Wildlife Camera into the final position. Then secure by tightening the 2 x hinge screws (D).

NOTE: If the camera mount is located in a high position, the Wildlife Camera may need to be angled toward the ground to capture low moving objects. Angling the camera downwards may affect how much sun hits the solar panel and may impede solar power charging.

INSTRUCTIONS

Wildlife Camera Modes
The Wildlife Camera is a scouting and surveillance camera with an in-built PIR.
The PIR sensor on the camera can detect sudden changes to the ambient temperature within the observation area. Once detected the highly sensitive infrared sensor will activate the photography and/or video mode.
The Wildlife Camera has three modes that can be selected. The Power/Mode switch can be found above the viewing screen in the interior of the Wildlife Camera (when the protective case is open).

OFF Mode
To power off the Wildlife Camera, slide the Power/Mode switch to the OFF position.
The Wildlife Camera is completely powered off in the OFF mode.

NOTE: Always remove the Alkaline batteries from the Wildlife Camera when it is not being used for a long period of time.
NOTE: It is recommended to switch the Wildlife Camera OFF when not in use, to preserve battery power.

SETUP Mode
In SETUP mode you can access all the menu options and settings for the Wildlife Camera. The menu options and settings available are listed on pages 21-25.

NOTE: You can also use the SETUP mode to align the Wildlife Camera. Refer to the instructions on page 27.
NOTE: You can also manually take photos and video in the SETUP Mode. Refer to the ‘Manual Recording’ instructions starting from page 30.
NOTE: The viewing screen is only activated in the SETUP mode for accessing the menu options and viewing the saved photos and/or videos.

ON Mode (live mode)
To switch the Wildlife Camera on, slide the Power/Mode switch to the ON position.
The Wildlife Camera will then enter the automatic sensing mode (live mode). This means that as soon as moving objects directly enter the detection area of the PIR sensor, the Wildlife Camera will automatically take photos and/or video recordings, depending on the camera’s settings that have been selected.

Menu Options and Settings

To access the variety of settings on the Wildlife Camera, in SETUP mode, press the button once to enter playback mode, then press the button once again to access the menu options.
To navigate the main menu, use the and buttons to cycle through the 4 main menu options located at the top of the screen. To exit the main menu press the button.
To navigate within each main menu option, use the and buttons to scroll through the sub menu options. Press the OK button to confirm your selection. Follow the on-screen instructions to modify each menu option setting. Press the OK button to save the setting. To return to the main menu, press the and buttons. To exit the menu options and settings, press the button.
Refer to the below for the sub menu options and settings available within each of the 4 main menu options.

NOTE: Refer to the table on page 26 for the default settings for each of the menu options.

Recording Modes and Settings Menu

Mode: There are three shooting modes: ‘Photo’, ‘ Video’, and ‘Photo + Video’. The default mode is ‘Photo’. Select ‘Photo’ mode to only take photos, select ‘Video’ mode to only record video or select ‘Photo + Video’ mode to take photos prior to recording a video. In ‘Photo + Video’ mode, the number of photos taken prior to recording depends on the ‘Picture No.’ setting.

PIR Interval: The PIR Interval is the time interval the camera waits before triggering another round of photos or videos. You can select how long you would like the camera to wait before it reacts to the successive triggering of the main sensor after the moving object has been detected. The camera does not record any images of videos during the selected interval. This prevents the memory card from being filled with unnecessary shots.

NOTE: If the interval time is short the camera shooting frequency would be high and would in turn deplete the cameras battery power. If the interval time is longer the battery power consumption would be less.
NOTE: The default setting for interval mode is 30 seconds. The interval time options available are from 5 seconds to 59 minutes and 59 seconds. We recommend selecting the default interval mode for longer use of the Wildlife Camera.
NOTE: The ‘PIR interval’ and ‘PIR sensitivity’ options can only be accessed when ‘Time lapse’ is set to ‘Off’.

PIR sensitivity: The higher the sensitivity, the easier the motion sensor will be triggered. It is recommended to set the PIR sensitivity to ‘Medium’ mode. The sensitivity of PIR is strongly related to the temperature. The higher the temperature, the lower the sensitivity of the PIR.
Time lapse: When ‘On’ is selected, the Wildlife Camera will automatically take photos at the selected time interval, irrespective of whether the PIR sensor has detected motion or not. This is useful for observing cold blooded animals eg. snakes, or plants opening, etc. Once the ‘Time lapse’ option is selected and confirmed (by pressing the OK button), the periodic interval clock will appear on the viewing screen for selection. The time lapse options available are from 5 seconds to 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds.

NOTE: When ‘Time lapse’ has been selected and set and the Wildlife Camera is in the ON (live) mode, it will automatically take photos at the selected time interval, irrespective of whether the PIR sensor has detected a motion or not.
NOTE: In ‘Time lapse’ mode, the PIR sensor is deactivated.

Loop Recording: When ‘On’ is selected, once the micro SD card is full, the camera will delete the earliest (unprotected) photos/videos recorded in order to save the new photos/videos recorded.
IR LED: Select the desired brightness of the LEDs. Choose from ‘Auto’, ‘Medium’, ‘Low’ or ‘Of f ’.
Low Bat Night Shot: Select between ‘No IR Led’ which allows the camera to take photos and videos without activating the LEDs at night when the battery power is low, or, ‘No shutting’ which prevents the camera from taking photos or videos at night.
Monitoring Period: If you only want the camera to monitor an area during a specific time, you can do so from this menu. Select ‘On’ and press the OK button to confirm. You can set up to two timers. Scroll down to select the timer option (Timer 1 Start, Timer 1 Stop, Timer 2 Start, Timer 2 Stop) and follow the on-screen prompts to set the start and finish times for one or both timers.

NOTE: The camera will not be triggered and will not take any photos or videos outside of the time period/s set.

Frequency: The default setting is 60Hz. The alternative frequency setting is 50Hz. It is recommended to use 60Hz for Australia. If you are using the Wildlife Camera in a country other than Australia, select the frequency for that country.

Photo Settings Menu

Image Size: Select the desired photo resolution. You can choose from 20M (5888 x 3312), 16M (5376 x 3024), 12M (4608 x 2502), 8M (3840 x 2160), 5M (2960 x 1664), 2M (1920 x 1088).

NOTE: If 2M and 5M are the only selections visible on the viewing screen, please use the or buttons and then the other image resolution options will be visible for selection.
Higher resolutions provide better images (photos), however, use more space on your micro SD card. The selected photo size (resolution) will be displayed as 2M, 5M, 8M, 12M, 16M, or 20M on the top centre of the viewing screen, while in photo mode. We recommend using the default resolution ‘5M’.

Picture No.: Select the number of photos (choose from 1 photo up to 10 Photos) to be taken in succession when the Wildlife Camera is triggered in the ‘Photo’ or ‘Photo + Video’ mode. Use the and buttons to scroll between 1 to 10 photos.
Shutter Speed: Select from 1/15, 1/20 and 1/30

Video Settings Menu

Resolution: Select the desired video resolution. You can choose from 1296P (2304 x 1296 30fps), 1080P (1920 x 1080 30fps), 720P (1280 x 720 30fps), 480P (848 x 480 30fps) and 360P (640 x 360 30fps). Higher resolutions produce higher quality recordings, however, use more space on your micro SD card. The selected size (resolution) will be displayed as either 1296P 30, 1080P 30, 720P 30, 480P 30 or 360P 30 on the top centre of the viewing screen, while in video mode. The videos are recorded in MP4 format which can be played back on most devices.

Video Length: Select the duration of recording video when the Wildlife Camera is triggered automatically (in live mode). Select from 5-180 seconds (in 1 second increments). Note, once you exit the Menu you cannot view the Video Length selection on the viewing screen. However, you can see the remaining recording time left on the micro SD card.

Record Audio: If you would like your videos to have sound select ‘On’. If you do not want your videos to have sound then select ‘Off’.

General Settings Menu

Language: Select this option to change the language. There are multiple languages available: English, German, French, Polish, Danish, etc.
Default Setting: Select this option to reset the Wildlife Camera to the factory default settings. Once selected the camera prompts you to select a language and to enter the current date and time. A final message ‘All data will be deleted’ will appear on the viewing screen. At this point you can select either ‘Cancel’ or ‘OK’.

NOTE: Once the Wildlife Camera has been restored to the default settings the language will need to be selected and the current date and time settings will need to be re-entered.

Format: Select this option to format the micro SD card using the Wildlife Camera. We recommend formatting the memory card if it has already been used in other devices or if it is a new card. Always save your files onto a computer or suitable storage device, before reformatting the micro SD card, as all files on the card will be deleted while the card is being formatted.

Date/Time: Select this option to set the current date and time. The date format is YYYY/MM/DD and the time format is HH : MM : SS.
AA Battery: Displays the current AA Alkaline battery capacity
Time Format: Choose how the time will display on the viewing screen and also on the photos and video (should you choose to select to activate time/date stamping setting). Select from 24 hours (24H) or 12 hours (12H) format.
Date Stamp: Select ‘On’ to print the date on every single photo or video taken. The date is also displayed on the top right of the viewing screen when in Replay (playback) mode.
Beep Sound: Select ‘Off’ to turn off the beeps and sounds that the Wildlife Camera makes while buttons are pressed. However, this has no bearing on video recordings which will still have sound when they are played back.
Camera Name: Select this option to change camera name from default EA2476.
Password Set: To protect your Wildlife Camera against unauthorised access you can set an access password. To do this simply select ‘On’ and you will be prompted to enter a four digit pin code or a four letter password. This password must be entered each time the Wildlife Camera is switched on in the SETUP (test) mode before the camera can be used.
If the wrong password is entered, ‘Password Error’ will display on the viewing screen.

NOTE: If you forget your pin code or password, you can unlock the camera by entering the password ‘OPEN’.

Auto Power Off: Select this option to determine whether the Wildlife Camera should switch off automatically when not used for a period of time, in the SETUP (test) mode.
Choose from ‘3 Minutes’, ‘5 Minutes’, ‘10 Minutes’ or deactivate the automatic power off by selecting ‘Off’.
Backlight: When the camera is in SETUP mode this function turns the viewing screen off when no activity has been detected during the time selected (1 Minute, 3 Minutes or 5 Minutes). To deactivate this function select ‘Off’ and the viewing screen will remain on until the camera is switched to ‘OFF’ or ‘ON’.
Version: Displays the most current Software version.
Mcu FW Update: Select this option when there is a firmware update issued.

Default Settings
Refer to the table below for the default settings for each menu option.

Aligning the Wildlife Camera

The SETUP (test) mode is useful for determining the best possible angle for the PIR sensor. To use the SETUP (test) mode, attach the Wildlife Camera to a tree, post or object at approximately 0.8-1 metres height and position the camera in the desired direction.

1. Slide the Power/Mode switch to SETUP. Close the protective case and firmly press the locking tabs into position.
2. Moving parallel to the Wildlife Camera, move slowly from one side of the observation area to the other.
3. The motion indicator light will flash red indicating that you were detected by the sensor. In this way you can determine the best position for aligning the Wildlife Camera.
4. It is recommended to try out different angles and distances.
5. Once the Wildlife Camera is positioned in the ideal location, open the protective case and slide the Power/Mode switch to ON (live) mode or to OFF to switch off the camera. Then close the protective case and firmly press the locking tabs into position.

NOTE: The motion indicator light will only flash red when the PIR has detected movement in the SETUP (test) mode. The motion indicator lights will not illuminate or flash when the Wildlife Camera is switched ON (in live mode).
NOTE: To prevent incorrect signals, unnecessary images and potential false triggers due to temperature and motion disturbances do not aim the PIR sensor of the Wildlife Camera at a heat source, nearby tree branches or bushes (especially on windy days). The optimum alignment is in either in the north or south direction.
The detection range of the sensor is approximately 90°.
NOTE: It is recommended to only move horizontally when testing the best possible angle for the PIR sensor. The PIR sensor does not pick up vertical movement as well as horizontal movement. Remember that you will need to be in front of the Wildlife Camera while testing is underway.
NOTE: It is recommended to move quickly when you do the test in a long distance in front of the PIR detection area.
NOTE: The PIR detection distance will be shorter if the environment temperature reaches 30˚C or above.
NOTE: Check that the Wildlife Camera is set to the correct height in line with the point to be observed. Where necessary, point the Wildlife Camera slightly downwards for optimum alignment.
NOTE: The Wildlife Camera is IP66 weatherproof. The device is protected against spray water and dust and subsequently can be used outdoors in most weather conditions.

Live Mode (ON)
The standard application of the Wildlife Camera is in the ON (live) mode. In this mode, photos and/or video are triggered either by movement (PIR sensors) or at intervals according to the Wildlife Camera’s settings.

1. Slide the Power/Mode switch to ON.
2. The red LED will flash and the counter on the bottom left of the viewing screen will count down from around 5 seconds and then the Wildlife Camera viewing screen will turn off. The Wildlife Camera is now in standby mode.
3. When animals, birds or other moving objects enter the detection range of the central PIR sensor, the Wildlife Camera will activate and take photos and/or record the video depending on the camera’s settings.

NOTE: During daytime, the IR LEDs will not light up and the photos and videos taken will be in colour. At night, the IR LEDs will light up and the photos and videos taken will be in black and white.
NOTE: It is recommended to set up the desired recording mode and related parameters in the SETUP (test) mode, before switching the Wildlife Camera to ON (live) mode.
NOTE: When the PIR sensitivity is set to ‘Auto’, the Wildlife Camera will adjust the brightness of the IR LEDs automatically. When shooting at night, the brightness will be decreased automatically, and the shooting effect will be inferior to that of daytime shooting. If the built-in battery power drops to 10% and/or the AA Alkaline battery available power is less than 30%, the Wildlife Camera will not activate at night.
NOTE: In ON (live) mode at night, the Wildlife Camera will record automatically as per the video length setting. When the battery power is too low, the Wildlife Camera will stop recording. It is recommended to select a shorter video length to preserve the battery power.

Image and Video Recording Modes
Photo and video resolutions can be adjusted using the button. Refer to the ‘Menu Options and Settings’ section on pages 21-25. We have included a table below as a guide for the quantity of photos or video that can be stored on the 8GB micro SD Card (included).

NOTE: The micro SD card (supplied) must be inserted into the Wildlife Camera in order to save photos and video recordings. Refer to the instructions starting on page 13 for how to install the memory card.
NOTE: Remember, photos and video recordings cannot be taken or saved unless a micro SD card has been inserted into the Wildlife Camera, and the menu options and settings cannot be accessed.
NOTE: If the micro SD card is full then the camera will not take any more photos/ videos unless ‘Loop Recording’ has been selected from the ‘Recording Modes and Settings Menu’ section starting on page 21.

NOTE: The values in the table above are approximate and based on the Wildlife Camera default settings for the 8GB micro SD card (supplied). The quantity of photos/video will differ for higher or lower settings, different size micro SD cards and different environments.

When switched ON, the Wildlife Camera defaults to ‘Photo’ mode at 5MP. This is displayed on the top left and middle of the viewing screen as and 5M (when in the SETUP mode).

Manual Recording

1. Slide the Power/Mode switch to SETUP mode.
2. To take a photo, press the button. The icon will show on the top left of the screen. Press OK to take a photo.
3. To take a video, press the button. The icon will show on the top left of the screen. Press OK to start recording your video and the red counter (clock) on the top right of the screen counts up showing you the recording time. Press OK once again to stop recording.

NOTE: The default setting for the Wildlife Camera to power off is 3 minutes. If you do not operate the Wildlife Camera within 3 minutes, the device will automatically shut down. In this instance, slide the switch back to the OFF position and then slide the switch back to the SETUP position to restart. To change the setting for auto-shut off, refer to the ‘Menu Options and Settings’ section on pages 21-25.
NOTE: When shooting video manually, in the SETUP (test) mode only, in daytime and at night, the Wildlife Camera will stop recording automatically after 29 minutes, when one video clip size gets to 4GB, when the memory card is full, or when the built-in battery power drops to 10% and/or the AA Alkaline battery available power is less than 30%.

Auto Recording

1. Slide the Power/Mode switch to SETUP mode.

2. Press the button to enter playback mode, then press the button once again to access the menu options and settings.

3. Refer to the ‘Menu Options and Settings’ section starting from page 21 for how to navigate the main menu and sub menu options to select and confirm the shooting setting: ‘Photo’, ‘ Video’ or ‘Photo + Video’.

4. Press the button to exit the menu and return to the viewing screen.

5. The icon will display in the top left corner of the viewing screen.
   NOTE: The same will display when in ‘Photo’, ‘Video’ and ‘Photo + Video’ mode. Ensure you have selected desired recording setting before confirming and existing the menu.

6. Slide the Power/Mode switch to ON (live) mode. The Wildlife Camera is now set to automatically record photos, video or both depending on the mode and settings you have selected.

TIP: It is recommended to use the default settings when recording video in the ON (live) mode.
NOTE: To set the Wildlife Camera recording parameters, refer to ‘Menu Options and Settings’ section the on pages 21 – 25.

Night Recording
When recording at night, the infrared LEDs (IR LEDs) located at the front of the Wildlife Camera provide sufficient light for taking photos and/or recording video. The Wildlife Camera uses IR LEDs with a long wavelength to keep red light to a minimum. The provided number of IR LEDs generate a high deflection angle, therefore allowing night recording at a distance of 3-20 metres without overexposing the subject. Reflecting objects, however, can cause overexposure (within this range) eg. road signs.

NOTE: Night recording using IR LEDs produces black and white photos and/or video.
NOTE: In ‘Time lapse’ mode, the PIR sensor is deactivated.

Image and Video Playback Modes

There are three options for playing back saved files on the Wildlife Camera. These are on-board viewing, via connected PC, or directly accessing the micro SD card. Each option for playback is explained below.
On-Board Viewing
To review the saved files directly on the viewing screen of the Wildlife Camera follow the steps below.

1. Slide the Power/Mode switch to SETUP mode.

2. Press the button to select playback mode. The or icon will display on the top left of the viewing screen.
   NOTE: If there are no photos/video files saved on the micro SD card, ‘No File’ in a blue box will show on the screen instead.

3. Press the  and buttons to scroll through the saved files. The number of saved  files and the date/time that the photos/video were recorded, is displayed in the top right corner of the viewing screen when in playback mode.

4. If the file currently showing on the viewing screen is a photo, the will display in the top left corner of the screen. If the file currently showing on the viewing screen is a video, the will display in the top left hand corner and the OK icon will display in the bottom left hand side of the viewing screen.

5. To play the video file showing on the viewing screen, press the OK button. To pause or stop the video playing, press the OK button once again. To resume playing the video, press the OK button again. To fast forward or rewind the video playing use the and arrows.
   NOTE: If you don’t wish to finish watching the video that is playing (in playback mode), and you want to view other saved files, first press the OK button to stop the video. Then, press the button, and use the and buttons to scroll through the other saved photos/videos.

6. Once you are finished using playback mode, press the button to access the menu options and settings, switch the camera to the OFF mode to power off or switch the camera to the ON (live) mode to continue recording in the current camera settings.

Playback via Connected PC
If you want to view your saved files on your PC, you can directly connect the Wildlife Camera using the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable. This allows for viewing of the saved files without the removal of the installed micro SD card.
Follow the steps below to view files on your PC without removing the micro SD card.

CAUTION: Do not remove the micro SD card from the Wildlife Camera.

1. Power on your PC and allow it to set up.
2. Fully uncoil the USB-A to USB-C cable.
3. Insert the USB-C end of the cable into the USB-C port located on the bottom of the Wildlife Camera.
4. Connect the USB-A end of the cable to a USB-A port on your PC. Select SETUP or ON mode on the Wildlife Camera.
5. Once the Wildlife Camera is connected to your PC, ‘Mass Storage’ and the built-in battery power % will display on the camera’s viewing screen, and the icon will flash on the bottom left hand side of the screen (to show that the built-in battery is charging). Within your PC’s operating system, the camera will appear as a USB drive.
6. Access the drive and open the folder labelled DCIM. Within this folder there will be two sub folders labelled MOVIE and PHOTO. Open the folders to access the image and video files saved on the micro SD card.
7. Playback or view the files using you PC’s operating system as you would any image or video file.
8. You can also copy or move the photos and video files onto your PC drives.
9. Once you have finished viewing the files on your PC, close the folder first and then follow the normal procedures for ejecting devices from PC’s safely.
10. Remove the USB-A to USB-C cable from your PC and the Wildlife Camera.

NOTE: The Wildlife Camera does not require a power source (batteries or power adapter) for viewing or transferring files when connected to a PC. To connect your Wildlife Camera to your PC, follow the instructions above.

Playback Directly from the Micro SD Card
To playback directly from the micro SD card, first it must be removed from the Wildlife Camera and then inserted into a card reader, PC or compatible reading device. The micro SD card can also first be inserted into the micro SD card adapter (supplied) prior to
inserting into a compatible device.
Follow the steps below to playback directly from the micro SD card.

NOTE: Depending on the device, you may need to use the micro SD card adapter (supplied).

1. Ensure that the Wildlife Camera is switched OFF.
2. Remove the micro SD card from the Wildlife Camera. To remove the micro SD card, push the card gently (using a thumbnail or fingernail is most effective), and it will pop out automatically. Carefully remove the micro SD card from the Wildlife Camera.
3. Insert the micro SD card into your PC, laptop or card reader.
4. Access the micro SD card and open the folder labelled DCIM. Within this folder there will be two sub folders labelled MOVIE and PHOTO. Open the the folders to access the files saved on the micro SD card.
5. Playback or view the files using you PC’s operating system as you would any image or video file.
6. You can also copy or move the photos and video files onto your PC drives.
7. Once you have finished viewing the files on your PC, close the folder first and then follow the normal procedures for ejecting devices from PC’s safely.
8. Remove the micro SD card from your PC, laptop or card reader.

NOTE: Always ensure that you close all folders first and then follow the normal procedures for safely ejecting software or devices from PC’s safely.
NOTE: Any changes made to the files on the micro SD card will be permanent.
NOTE: We recommend copying files immediately to another media device to protect important files from damage or accidental deletion.
WARNING: Files deleted from the micro SD card cannot be recovered.
NOTE: To transfer to other devices and not accidentally delete files on the micro SD card, a micro SD card adapter is included. With the labels of both the micro SD card and micro SD card adapter facing upwards and the contacts facing downwards push the micro SD card into the slot on the micro SD card adapter until it is flush. To lock files, slide the tab located on left side of the micro SD card adapter down. To unlock all files, slide the tab upwards.

Deleting Files
The Wildlife Camera can be used to delete files on the micro SD card to make additional space for recording new photos or video.

NOTE: When files are deleted using the Wildlife Camera, they are permanently erased and cannot be recovered. We strongly recommend saving files to your PC that you wish to permanently keep.

1. Slide the Power/Mode switch to SETUP mode.

2. Press the button once to enter playback mode, select the file you wish to delete. Press and hold button. The ‘Delete’ and ‘Protect’ options will display on the viewing screen.

3. To delete the current file selected or all files, first select ‘Delete’ by pressing the OK button. Then select ‘Delete Current’ to delete only the current file selected or select ‘Delete All’ to delete all files saved on the micro SD card and press the OK button to confirm. ‘Erase This?’ will appear with the screen, select ‘Cancel’ or ‘OK’, then press the OK button to confirm.
   NOTE: If you change your mind and no longer wish to delete the file/files, select ‘Cancel’, then press the button to return to the images.

4. The files deleted will be permanently deleted. If you selected ‘Delete All’ only protected (locked) files will remain on the micro SD card.

NOTE: When deleting files, if you select the ‘Delete All’ option and press the OK button all the files on the micro SD card will be permanently deleted except for any files that were already locked (protected).
NOTE: You can also permanently delete all files by formatting the micro SD card. Refer to the ‘Menu Options and Settings’ section on pages 21-25.

Protecting Files
You can protect files from accidentally being deleted by selecting the ‘Protect’ feature. Once a photo or video are locked they cannot be deleted unless they are unlocked.

Locking Files

1. Slide the Power/Mode switch to SETUP mode.
2. Press the button once to enter playback mode, select the file you wish to lock. Press and hold button. The ‘Delete’ and ‘Protect’ options will display on the viewing screen.
3. To lock the current file selected or all files, first select ‘Protect’ and press the OK button to confirm. Then select ‘Lock Current’ to lock the current file selected or select ‘Lock All’ to lock all files saved on the micro SD card and press the OK button to confirm.
4. Press the button to return to playback mode. The key icon will appear at the centre top of the viewing screen on the locked files.

Unlocking Files

1. Slide the Power/Mode switch to SETUP mode.
2. Press the button once to enter playback mode, select the file you wish to unlock. Press and hold button. The ‘Delete’ and ‘Protect’ options will display on the viewing screen.
3. To unlock the current file selected or all files, first select ‘Protect’ and press the OK button to confirm. Then select ‘Unlock Current’ to unlock the current file selected or select ‘Unlock All’ to unlock all files saved on the micro SD card and press the OK button to confirm.
4. Press the button to return to playback mode. The key icon will no longer appear at the centre top of the viewing screen on the unlocked files.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

is low or non-existent by switching the Wildlife Camera back to SETUP mode and observing the built-in battery power level on the bottom left side of the viewing screen. In this case, charge the camera using the USB-A to USB-C cable (supplied).

The Wildlife Camera turns off

automatically?

| • The default setting for auto power off is 3 minutes. To change the auto power off setting or to switch the auto power off function completely off, refer to the ‘Menu Options and Settings’ section on pages 21-25.
• Check if the built-in battery power is low or non-existent by switching the Wildlife Camera back into SETUP mode and observing the built-in battery power level in the bottom left side of the viewing screen. If there are Alkaline batteries (not supplied) inserted in the camera, check if the Alkaline battery power is low or non-existent by pressing the button when in SETUP mode or within the menu options and settings.
In this case, charge the built-in battery using the USB-A to USB-C cable (supplied) and/or replace the 4 x Alkaline (AA/ LR6) batteries.
• Check if the micro SD card is full. In the case that the memory card is full, either delete some files in the playback mode or transfer some images and videos to your PC using the USB-A to USB-C cable (supplied). Refer to the instructions on page 35 for how to delete files.
• If the Wildlife Camera still turns off automatically, contact the After Sales Support on 1300 777 137 for advice.
The solar panel isn’t charging the built-in battery.| • Clean the surface of the solar panel to ensure it is not covered in dust
• The solar panel charging temperature is between 0˚C to 50˚C. The sunlight intensity and the ambient temperature all affect the charging efficiency. Ensure the camera is positioned where it can receive optimal sunlight.
• The solar panel requires around 7 to 14 days to fully charge. If the shooting frequency is too high during the charging time, this will in turn cause the battery power to drain faster than the charging speed. The built-in battery will come partially charged. It is recommended to fully charge the camera using the USB-A to USB-C cable (supplied) prior to setting up outdoors for solar charging.

The photo and/or video is blurry or not clear?| • Check the protective film has been removed from the camera lens, LEDs and PIR sensor before use.
• Check that the lens is not dirty. If the lens is dirty, clean the lens with a suitable cleaning cloth (not supplied).
The recorded videos are choppy or jumpy when played back on my PC?| • Check that the MP4 video format can be played on your computer.
• Check that you PC system meets the requirements for video playback.
Forgotten password.| • In the case that you forget your password, enter ‘OPEN’ to access the Wildlife Camera.
The viewing screen shows ‘TF card Error’.| • Ensure the micro SD card is with class 10 standard of higher level.
• The micro SD card memory may be full. Delete the unnecessary photos and/or videos (refer to the instructions starting on page 35 for how to delete files). Alternatively save the photos and/or video to your PC (refer to the instructions starting from page 32).
• The micro SD card may require reformatting. Refer to the ‘Menu Options and Settings’ section on pages 21-25 for how to reformat the micro SD card.

• The micro SD card may not be formatted correctly. Format the micro SD card (refer to the ‘Menu Options and Settings’ section on pages 21-25) or insert a new micro SD card.
The Wildlife Camera False Triggers?| • Reset the Wildlife Camera to the default settings. If this does not solve the issue, check the physical setup of the Wildlife Camera (position, angle etc.). The sun should not be shining directly on the camera lens. The Wildlife Camera’s field of view should be clear of as much vegetation/obstruction as possible. If there are a lot of trees in the Wildlife Camera’s field of view, false triggers can occur especially on sunny and breezy days.
• If false triggers still occur, turn down the motion sensitivity in settings. Refer to the ‘Menu Options and Settings’ section on pages 21-25 for the PIR sensitivity settings.

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Before cleaning the Wildlife Camera, ensure that the 4 x Alkaline batteries (not supplied) are removed and the Wildlife Camera is disconnected from any power source.
• The Wildlife Camera is likely only to require regular “dusting” to keep it clean. Use a standard duster, or a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove the dust from the Wildlife Camera. Clean the dust from the Wildlife Camera regularly.
• The lens will also need regular cleaning. Please use a suitable cleaning cloth (not supplied), to clean the lens regularly.
• If the Wildlife Camera becomes soiled with anything other than dust on its exterior, clean the exterior of the Wildlife Camera by wiping over the surface with a slightly damp cloth and then polish with a soft dry cloth.
• Be careful that you do not apply too much pressure when cleaning the Wildlife Camera. There is a risk that you may break some parts.
• Do not use detergents or abrasive cleaners, and do not allow moisture, water, or other liquid to enter the Wildlife Camera.

Storage

• When the Wildlife Camera is not in use, ensure that the 4 x Alkaline batteries (not supplied) are removed and the Wildlife Camera is disconnected from any power source.
• Ensure the Wildlife Camera is stored in a cool, dry and well ventilated location out of direct sunlight. Ensure that it is not subject to humidity.
• We recommend storing the Wildlife Camera together with all the accessories inside its original carton.
• Store the Wildlife Camera in a clean and dry place, out of children’s reach.
• Do not place heavy objects on top of the Wildlife Camera during storage.

Responsible Disposal
We encourage you to dispose of your packaging carefully and thoughtfully. Please sort the packaging before you dispose of it. Observe any local regulations regarding the disposal of consumer goods and dispose of it appropriately for recycling. Contact your local authorities for advice on recycling facilities in your area.
Please keep the original packaging carton and materials in a safe place. It will help to prevent any damage if the product needs to be transported in the future. In the event it is to be disposed of, please recycle all packaging material where possible.
