Please read this entire manual before proceeding with the installation

Tools Needed for Installation

1. 2 Phillips Screwdriver

2. M6 Socket Allen Wrench w/3/8” Drive
3. M5 Socket Allen Wrench w/3/8” Drive
4. 3/8” Drive Torque Wrench (Recommended)
5. M10 Open End Wrench
6. Cold Beverage & Good Music! (Required)

STEP 1 – Installation of Base Plates

A. Put the kickstand down and get off the bike, crack a drink and crank the music!
B. Using the M6 Allen Socket, remove the upper pinch bolt on the lower clutchside fork clamp.
C. Pull the OEM bolt completely out and place it neatly in your organized fastener bin or the bucket of mixed fasteners sitting under the workbench. (Not to be reused)
D. Grab the provided fork clamp bolt and spacer as well as the clutch-side base bracket. Place the bracket behind the headlight bracket, slide the bolt through the base bracket with the spacer between the base bracket and the fork clamp. Repeat this process on the upper fork clamp. WARNING – COMPLETE ONE SIDE AT A TIME

E. We recommend tightening both bolts to the Manufacturer torque settings. (Please refer to your local dealer or the manufacturer directly)
F. Repeat the process on the throttle-side fork.

Step 2 – Installation of Adjustable Quick Release Brackets

A. You’re getting close now! Time to take a picture and send it to some friends!
B. Grab the clutch-side adjustable bracket, pull and turn the silver tab to the open position, mount to the base bracket with the silver quick release tab facing outward. Turn and push the quick release tab to the locked position.
C. Repeat the same process for the throttle-side.
D. Use the full windshield mounting hardware in this order.

1. Truss machine screws
2. Plastic washer
3. Windshield
4. Rubber washer
5. Insert to rubber well nut in mounting bracket
6. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!

For Flyscreen

1. Truss machine screws
2. Plastic washer
3. Windshield
4. Rubber washer| 5. Base bracket
6. Metal washer
7. Lock nut
8. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!

E. Go through and check all the fastener points and make sure they are secure.
F. Stand back and marvel at the Madstad windshield you just installed. Take more pictures, take a selfie, send it to your now jealous friends, tag us on IG, throw a leg over and go Tame the Wind!
G. Once you have had a chance to ride with the new Madstad installed you’ll probably want to adjust the full screen to your liking. Just loosen the adjustment knobs and angle it or raise it to your desired riding position.
