Preﬁx Example
Adding a custom preﬁx “Q” to the QR code:

Refer to the Barcode Type ID table in the appendix to ﬁnd the HEX value of the QR code, which is “51”.Barcode Type| HEX

Refer to the ASCII table for visible characters to ﬁnd that “Q” corresponds to the HEX value of “51”.

Scan the conﬁguration code for “Custom Preﬁx”, then scan the data in the appendix and edit the barcode by entering “5”, “1”, “5”, and “1”, and save. The conﬁguration is now complete.

2.3. Enable/Disable all Barcodes
Enabling all barcode types may result in decreased decoding speed. It is recommended to selectively enable barcode types based on the intended use. By default, all barcode types are enabled.

For example how to turn on the automatic mode (continuous scanning):

Connecting Fixed Scanners to Terminal Units
Click Refresh Com -> Select the correct serial port -> Click Open Serial port
Scan the “USB Virtual Com” with a scanner.
Click “Automatic mode” Scan “USB-KBW” to save the setting.

FAQ

Why are barcodes not being scanned or are difﬁcult to scan?

• For best reading results, the aiming beam from the scanner should be aligned with the center of the bar code, but it can be aimed in any direction for reading. • The closer the scanner is to the bar code and the beam is aligned with the center of the bar code, the smaller the aiming beam will be. Conversely, the farther away the scanner is from the bar code, the larger the aiming beam will be. • If the bar code is small, move the scanner loser to the bar code. If the bar code is large, the scanner should be slightly farther away to make it easier to read the bar code correctly. • If the bar code is highly reﬂective, such as a coated surface, you may need to tilt the scanner at an angle to successfully scan the bar code.

Why does the scanner sound a warning alarm?

When data transmission is abnormal, the scanner gun sounds an error alarm. If this occurs, check that the connection cable is working properly.

Why does a transmission error occur when the USB keyboard sends data? mission error occur

If the client PC is weak and prone to transmission errors, you need to customize the USB keyboard sending speed to a slower speed, such as 50ms: Scan the conﬁguration code to customize the sending speed, then scan the appendix data and edit the numbers 5 and 0 in the barcode, then save, the conﬁguration is completed.
