Hardware and its Operation
1.1. Appearance
The figure below illustrates the appearance of the IPDA035:
The power indicator on the right side of the
device serves two functions: indicating the device’s switching-on status and
charging status. It’s green when it’s powering on, red when it’s charging, and
green when it’s fully charged.
- The scan indicator located on the left side of the device flashes red once when it successfully reads information.
- To take a screenshot, simultaneously press and hold the power button and volume down button.
- To switch between alphabet and number input, press the 1-A key.
- To customize a key, go to Setting > Feature > Custom Key. (AS below Image)
1.2. Card Insertion Insert the cards into the
designated card slots as indicated.
Note:
None of the cards mentioned above are included in the package of this product.
To meet your specific needs, insert cards with corresponding functions into
this PDA. You do not need to insert a TF card, PSAM card, and micro SIM card
simultaneously to use the PDA.
IPDA035 supports micro SIM card only.
1.3. Battery Removal
- Turn the battery cover fastener counterclockwise.
- Lift the battery cover in the direction shown.
- Pull on the tab 45°to the upper left, separating the battery from the contacts or terminals inside the device.
1.4. Hand Strap Release To release the fastener,
follow the arrow in the illustration and slide the buckle end of the strap
upwards through the wider end of the fastener.
1.5. Charging Locate the charging port as shown in the picture, remove
the waterproof plug, and charge the device using a USB charging cable that
supports the Type-C port. You can also use the charging cradle to charge the
PDA (the charging cradle needs to be purchased separately).
Charging Notice:
-
Before using the battery, please remove the yellow insulation sticker from its surface.
-
The product employs a lithium battery, which typically has an average lifespan of approximately 2-3 years. During this time, it can undergo about 1,000 full charge cycles, which is the period from when the battery is completely charged to when it is fully discharged.
-
Lithium batteries are susceptible to self-discharge, which means that the battery power will gradually deplete even when the PDA is not in use. It’s important to note that fully drained lithium batteries can be difficult to recharge, and are generally quite
fragile in this state. To maintain the proper functioning of the battery, it’s recommended that you regularly charge the PDA, even if it’s not in use for extended periods of time. -
If you’re unable to regularly charge the battery, it’s recommended to remove it from the PDA and store it in a separate location with a temperature range of 5-20 degrees Celsius.
-
If you’re unable to maintain the battery as outlined above and are unable to charge the PDA as a result, it’s recommended that you replace the battery with a new one.
-
The use of non-original batteries can lead to PDA malfunctions, or in some cases, cause explosions.
-
It typically takes around 4 hours to fully charge the battery, after which the terminal device can remain on standby for approximately 48 hours.
-
To prevent excessive battery drain, it’s advisable to charge the battery when its power level drops below 20%.
-
It’s recommended not to keep the PDA in a state of perpetual charging, as this can cause the battery to bulge and eventually become damaged.
-
After approximately six months of use, the battery may start to lose power more rapidly, which is a natural consequence of the aging process.
-
As the battery ages, its power supply time will gradually reduce. When the power supply time falls below 80% of its initial state, the charging time will significantly increase as well.
-
The output voltage/current of the charger is 5V/2A.
Scanning Software: Scan Tools
Scan Tools app comes pre-installed on the IPDA035. You can use this
application to test, configure, and utilize the code scanning function of the
IPDA035. (As below) This app consists of three items: Content, Barcode,
and Settings.
The following is a brief introduction to the functions of these three items:
2.1. Content
On
the Content interface, press any scan key to perform a scan function test. If
the IPDA035 is working properly, it will emit a red laser from the scanning
module once you press the scanning button, and display the scanned code on the
screen.
2.2. Barcode
In this interface, you can configure settings for most of the commonly used
1D and 2D codes.For example, let’s take the EAN13 code:
2.3. Settings
In this interface, you can customize the scanning function of the IPDA035
according to your habits and preferences. Note:
If your IPDA035 encounters scanning issues, such as the inability to emit red
laser light, try resetting the PDA’s scanning function to factory settings by
selecting “Reset Scan” under “Settings”. This should resolve most scanning
problems. However, if you continue to experience scanning issues even after
resetting the factory settings, please reach out to our technical engineers
for assistance. You can contact us via email

Other Functions of IPDA035
IPDA035’s Settings app allows you to configure general settings for your PDA.
Below is an illustration of some of the common function settings available for
IPDA035. 3.1. Wi-Fi
Settings→Network & internet→Wi-Fi 3.2. Bluetooth
Settings→Connected devices→Pair new device 3.3. Reset Options
In the event that your IPDA035 experiences system issues such as connectivity
problems with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, or difficulties installing software,
attempting a reset may be helpful(Settings→System →Advanced→Rest options).
Please note that each reset item has a unique function.
-
Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth
This option restores network and bluetooth to factory settings. -
Reset app preference
This option restores the preferences in each app to factory settings. For instance, if you’ve set the vibration option for scanning in Scan Tools on your IPDA035, it will be disabled once you choose to reset app preference. -
Erase all date(factory reset)
This option encompasses the two aforementioned resets and will erase all data stored on your PDA, effectively restoring your IPDA035 to its original factory settings.
This should resolve most system problems of IPDA035. However, if you continue to experience system issues even after erasing all data, please reach out to our technical engineers for assistance.

Troubleshooting
IPDA035’s Settings app allows you to configure general settings for your PDA.
Below is an illustration of some of the common function settings available for
IPDA035.
4.1. How can I troubleshoot if my PDA won’t power on or charge?
- Ensure that the insulation layer on the battery’s outer layer has been removed.
- Press and hold the power button for four seconds to check if the screen turns on.
- If the PDA has been transported for an extended period, the battery may have entered sleep mode. Try turning it on again after charging for 30 minutes.
- Check if any of the charging hardware (battery, USB cable, power adapter, or cradle charger) are damaged.
4.2. Why is data transfer between my PDA and PC not working?
Please ensure that you are using a USB cable with data transfer function.
4.3. Why is my PDA unable to scan codes?
- Please check if the 3 scan keys are working properly.
- Ensure that the scanner lens and the code you want to scan are clean and unobstructed or blurred.
- Try resetting the scanning function in Scan Tools.
4.4. What SIM card is compatible with my PDA?
The three commonly used SIM card sizes are standard, micro, and nano. The
image below illustrates their appearances.PDA only supports the use of
micro SIM cards. It is important to note that the micro SIM card is NOT
included in the package and needs to be purchased separately.
4.5. Why can’t I access the network even when my PDA is connected to Wi-Fi?
- First, check if your router is working properly.
- It’s possible that you are too far away from the router. You can try using a SIM card for internet connectivity or resetting your device (refer to section 3.1 for instructions).
