TECHNICAL DATA

  • Lifting height  2.5 m
  • Max. load  1t
  • Weight  9 kg
  • Chain dimension  6mm

DESCRIPTION

The transmission consists of two symmetrically arranged, cylindrical two-stage cog gears. Pulling the hand chain turns the sprocket round clockwise and presses the friction plates and ratchet against the brake plate so that these parts rotate together. The drive shaft ensures that the transmission and load chain move smoothly and lift the load. The brake consists of a ratchet with a set of single-action friction plates. The spring presses the pawl against the ratchet to lock the brake, and the weight of the load acts to lock the brake harder.

  • Safe and reliable with a minimum of maintenance.
  • Easy to pull thanks to high degree of mechanical efficiency.
  • Lightweight, easy to handle.
  • Compact format.
  • Long useful life.

OPERATION

The product is easy to operate with the hand chain and is intended for lifting loads for various applications. It can be used outdoors and where no power supply is available.
The chain pulley can be mounted on a truck, overhead crane, or crane etc.

  1. Never exceed the maximum permitted load for the equipment.
  2. Before use, check all parts for damage. Lubricate parts if necessary. Never use the equipment if it is damaged or worn.
  3. Before lifting, check that the hooks are properly secured. Never connect the hooks at an angle to the load. Never allow the load to apply pressure to the tips of the hooks. When lifting, the chain must be vertical and not twisted.
  4. When in use the operator should stand in line with the hand sprocket. Lift the load by pulling the hand chain so that the hand sprocket rotates clockwise. If the hand sprocket is pulled in the opposite direction this releases the sprocket brake, the pawl lifts away from the ratchet and the load lowers down smoothly.
  5. Do not load the hand chain at an angle to the plane of the sprocket, as this can cause the chain to twist or the block to turn.
  6. Never stand or walk under a raised load.
  7. To prevent the chain from jerking and getting entangled, pull it smoothly and uniformly when lifting/lowering.
  8. Stop pulling immediately if the chain cannot be pulled any further.
    • Check that the load has not been caught up something.
    • Check that no parts of the block are obstructed.
    • Check that the load does not exceed the load capacity of the block.

MAINTENANCE

  1. Clean the product after use, and store it in a dry place to avoid corrosion.
  2. Clean all parts with paraffin and lubricate with grease once a year. Cleaning and lubrication should be carried out by qualified personnel.
  3. When fitting, align the o markings on both gear wheels to each other.
  4. The sprocket bearing rollers can be fixed in place with grease on the sprocket journals before they are fitted in the outer race.
  5. When fitting the brake mechanism, the ratchet and the pawl must engage correctly. Check that the spring adjusts the pawl correctly and reliably. Screw the hand sprocket onto the drive shaft. When the chain pulley is turned clockwise it should rest against the brake plate. When the chain pulley is turned anticlockwise it should leave the brake plate.
  6. The transitional pressure is put on the screw and the right plate. Do not dismantle them.
  7. The chain block should only be dismantled by qualified personnel.
  8. After cleaning and/or repairing the product it should be tested with no load and with maximum load before use.
  9. Keep the brake mechanism friction surfaces clean when greasing and using them. Check that the brake is working properly at regular intervals.
