Description:
The pouched topping warmer is designed to simplify topping management, reduce product degradation and waste, and deliver a superior product. It is suitable for use in food service establishments to store and serve toppings at the required temperatures.

Safety:
WARNING – ELECTRICAL SHOCK COULD OCCUR. This unit must be earthed or grounded. Ensure all three prongs (terminals) on the cord plug are plugged into a power source. Follow local food and safety regulations for specific temperature guidelines. Server Products, Inc. cannot be held responsible for serving potentially hazardous products.

Unit Setup:

  1. Wash all parts properly before every use. Refer to page 6 for cleaning instructions.
  2. Attach each pump to each pouch. The pump is fully engaged when the top surface of the pouch fitment touches the pump connector rim.
  3. Install pumps with pouches into the base.
  4. Plug the cord into a power source.
  5. Press the switch to the ON position.
  6. Set the thermostat knobs to the desired temperature.

Unit Take-Down:

  1. Press the switch to the OFF position.
  2. Unplug the cord.
  3. Allow the unit to cool before continuing or use proper care with hot surfaces.
  4. Remove pumps with pouches.
  5. Detach pouches from the bottom of pumps.
  6. Thoroughly rinse all inside and outside surfaces of pumps with hot water.
  7. Disassemble and clean pumps. Refer to the separate pump manual for pump cleaning instructions.

Cleaning :
Allow the unit to cool before cleaning. Clean external surfaces using a cleaning agent safe for food contact areas. Stainless steel surfaces may require changing the cleansing agent or cleaning procedures if corrosion is noticed. Thoroughly rinse all inside and outside surfaces of the unit with hot water to remove any mineral deposits.

Wiring:
Refer to page 6 for wiring diagram and instructions for specific units.

Troubleshooting:
If the unit does not heat or the pouch does not evacuate all product, refer to the troubleshooting section in the manual for possible solutions.

UNIT SETUP

SEE SEPARATE PUMP MANUAL FOR PUMP SETUP.

  1. ATTACH EACH PUMP TO EACH POUCH
    • Place pouch on the countertop with pouch fitment circle facing upward.
    • Position pump connector directly over center of pouch fitment.
    • Press pump connector down to pierce through film in pouch fitment.
  2. INSTALL PUMPS WITH POUCHES INTO BASE
  3. PLUG CORD into power source.
  4. PRESS SWITCH to the “ON” position.
  5. SET THERMOSTAT KNOBS to food manufacturer’s recommended serving temperature(s).
    • Dial indicators use increments of 5º F.
    • Thermostat maximum is 210º F/99º C.

UNIT TAKE-DOWN

  1. PRESS SWITCH to the “OFF” position.

  2. UNPLUG CORD
    CAUTION- HOT
    Allow unit to cool before continuing or use proper care with hot surfaces.

  3. REMOVE PUMPS WITH POUCHES

  4. DETACH POUCHES from bottom of pumps.

  5. FLUSH AND RINSE PUMPS Thoroughly rinse all inside and outside surfaces of pumps with hot water.

  6. DISASSEMBLE AND CLEAN PUMPS. SEE SEPARATE PUMP MANUAL FOR PUMP CLEANING.

  • Electrical components of unit could be damaged from water exposure or any liquid.
  • Never immerse unit into water or any liquid.
  • Never use any water jet or pressure sprayer on unit.
  • Ensure unit is “OFF” and unplugged.

CAUTION- HOT
Allow unit to cool before cleaning.

CLEAN EXTERNAL SURFACES

  • Wipe daily with a clean damp cloth.
  • Dry with a clean soft cloth.
  • Glass and surface cleaners approved for use in food contact areas may be used.

CARE OF STAINLESS STEEL
This warmer and accessories are constructed of stainless steel— one of the best materials for food serving and storage. If you notice corrosion beginning on any stainless steel surface, you may need to change the cleansing agent, sanitizing agent, or the cleaning procedures you are using.

  • A mildly abrasive nylon or brass brush may be used to remove any stubborn food or mineral deposits on interior surfaces of unit.
  • Fully rinsing and drying all parts can help prevent corrosion. Elements and minerals in tap water can accumulate on stainless steel parts and create corrosion.
  • Do not use abrasive, caustic or ammonia based cleansers.
  • Do not use products containing acids, alkalines, chlorine, or salt. These agents can corrode stainless steel.
  • Do not use metal scrapers or cleaning pads that could scratch surfaces.

TROUBLESHOOTING

UNIT DOES NOT HEAT?

  • Ensure cord is securely plugged in.
  • Ensure unit is on.
  • Ensure the thermostat knob is set correctly.
  • Ensure power is available from source.
  • Do not allow any of the electrical components to get wet. Moisture may cause the unit to trip breaker or GCFI. If moisture is suspected, discontinue use. Allow unit to fully air dry.

POUCH DOES NOT EVACUATE ALL PRODUCT?

  • Ensure that the pouch is properly connected with pump.

GENERAL SERVICE, REPAIR OR RETURNS

  • Before sending an item to Server Products, contact Customer Care to request a Return Authorization Number. The RA Number ensures proper processing and a prompt turnaround. Repaired units are typically shipped out within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Merchandise returned for credit will incur a 20% restocking charge, must be less than 90 days old, and in unused (new) condition. Electrical parts (thermostats, heating elements, etc.) are not returnable.
  • Servicing Cord: Specific tools are required for safe and proper power supply cord removal and installation. Repairs should be done by an OEM representative or qualified technician using a cord meeting code H05 RN-F requirements.
