Wood’s WDD80
Wood’s WDD80 is a convenient and efficient portable adsorption dehumidifier.
It is suitable for basements, washing rooms, summer houses and other areas
that need dehumidifying.
Workings of your dehumidifier
Wood’s WDD80 is an adsorption dehumidifier.
The adsorption technique allows for use in colder areas, with great capacity.
As the dehumidifier works, warm and dry air is exhausted on the top of the
unit. This makes the WDD80 ideal for drying washing, clothes, wood etc.

Wood’s dehumidifiers are easy to move around but bear in mind the following.
- The dehumidifier should not be placed near radiators or other heat sources or exposed to direct sunlight, as it will reduce its performance.
- Keep at least 25cm distance from walls and other obstructions to maximize the airflow.
- For optimum performance, place the dehumidifier in the middle of the room.
- Make sure that the airflow from the inlet and outlet isn’t blocked
Installation:
- Place the dehumidifier on flat and solid ground, preferably in the middle of the room.
- Close all windows and ventilators in the room to prevent moist outside air from flowing into the room.

Set humidity
The unit has 4 available settings for desired humidity; 40%, 50%, 60% and ”continuous”. In continuous mode, the unit will continue to run despite ambient humidity level being reached.
The humidity can only be set at low and medium fan speeds. At high fan speed, the unit will run continuously.| -
Set the fan speed
The WDD80 has 3 fan speeds; low, medium and high. Press the SPEED key to choose fan speed. -
Set timer
Press the TIMER key to set a timer for automatic shut off. Choose between 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours. -

The ionizer cleans the air from harmful particles at the same time as the unit dehumidifies.
NOTE: After shutoff, the fan continues to run for a few minutes to prevent mould from forming inside the unit.
Water drainage
The water is collected in the water bucket on the back of the unit. When the
water bucket is full, the unit automatically shuts off. An alarm sounds and a
light illuminates on the control panel. Remove the water bucket to empty it
and reinsert it.
Attach the water hose (option)
Attach the water hose to the unit and to lead the water directly to a drain –
this way you don’t have to empty the water bucket.
Connect the hose (option) on the back of the dehumidifier. Lead the other end
to a drain. Make sure that the water can be drained downwards.
The air filter
The air filter prevents dust and dirt from entering the machine, prolonging
its life expectancy.
It is very important that the filter is cleaned regularly; otherwise, the
dehumidifier might lose capacity and even be seriously damaged.
Filter cleaning
- Remove the filter from the back of the unit.
- Clean the filter with a soft cleaner and warm water. Let the filter dry fully before reinserting it. The filter can also be vacuum-cleaned.
- Reinsert the filter.
Maintenance

– The top grids can be vacuum-cleaned or cleaned with a brush.

Hints
Sometimes it may be useful to use a frost guard or heater fan to make sure
that the temperature does not fall below +5˚C. Even if the WDD80 works down to
temperatures as low as +1°C, its capacity will increase at higher temperatures
as warm air carries more water.
For maximum dehumidifying power in a room, it is recommended that the air
supply from outside and from adjoining rooms is minimized – close doors and
ventilators.
Expect higher dehumidification capacity during Autumn / Summer because the
outside air is warmer and more humid.
To achieve safe and reliable protection against mould and moisture damage,
keep the relative humidity between 50% and 60%.
For maximum drying capacity of washing or clothes, choose fan speed HIGH and
press the air angle button to direct the airflow.
The unit has protection against internal overheating. If the internal
temperature is too high, the unit will automatically shut off. Unplug the unit
from the power outlet and wait 10 min before restarting it.
