IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.

Do not touch hot surfaces. Metal parts can become hot. Use any handles or knobs.

To protect against electrical shock, do not place cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquid.

This appliance should not be used by young children or incapacitated persons. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

Oversize foods or metal utensils must not be inserted into a toaster oven as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.

A fire may occur if the toaster oven is covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation. Do not store any item on top of the appliance when in operation.

Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts involving a risk of electric shock.

Extreme caution should be exercised when using containers constructed of other than metal or glass.

Do not store any materials, other than the manufacturers recommended accessories, in this oven when not in use.

Do not place any of the following materials in the oven: paper, cardboard, plastic, or any other material that may catch fire or melt.

Do not cover crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil. This will cause overheating of the oven.

Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

To stop the heating cycle when the oven is on, press the Start/Stop power button.
Unplug from the wall outlet. Do not pull, twist or otherwise abuse cord. -
Do not operate any electrical appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.

Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual.

The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electrical shock or injury.

Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.

Do not let cord hang over edge of a table or countertop (where it can be accidentally pulled) or touch hot surfaces.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. It may be plugged into an AC electrical outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any other electrical outlet.
CORD PLUG
This appliance has a grounded 3 wire cord. To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this plug is intended to fit into an outlet only one way. If it does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in
any way.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from
entanglement or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may
be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply
cord or extension cord is used:
- The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and
- The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
- Never pull or yank on cord or the appliance.
- To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
- To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
- Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line cord replaced.
- Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE
WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.
During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and/or a
slight odor. This is normal and should quickly disappear. It will not recur
after the appliance has been used a few more times.
USING THE CONTROLS:
The Toaster Oven controls feature a Selection Adjustment Dial, Function
Button, Temp (Temperature) Button, Time Button, Convection Button, Interior
Light On/Off Button and Start/Stop Button. Before attempting to operate the
Toaster Oven, be sure to become familiar with the controls to ensure optimum
performance.
Start/Stop Button: Press the Start/Stop Button to turn the Toaster Oven display lights on. If no further selections are made within 30 seconds, the display lights will turn off, and the Toaster Oven will return to stand-by mode. The Start/Stop Button must be pressed to start the cooking cycle after the function, temperature and time settings have been selected. Press the Start/Stop button again to stop the cooking cycle.
Function Button: This Toaster Oven has five different cook functions that
meet a variety of cooking needs. Press the Function Button and continue
pressing until the desired function is reached. Cooking functions include:
Bake, Broil, Warm, Pizza and Toast.
*Please note that the display clock is also accessed through the Function Button.
Temperature Button: Once the function has been selected, press the Temp Button. Once the temperature display light is flashing, rotate the Selection Adjutment Dial clockwise to increase or counterclockwise to decrease the desired temperature.
Time Button: Press the Time Button to select the desired length of heating. Once the time display light is flashing, rotate the Selection Adjustment Dial clockwise to increase or counterclockwise to decrease the desired amount of time for cooking.
Light Button: Press the Light Button to turn on the Toaster Oven’s interior light. Press again to turn off the light.
Convection Button: Press the Convection Button to turn on this feature, which increases air circulation while cooking. The Convection Icon will illuminate to the left of the temperature display when it is on. Press the Convection Button again to turn off this feature. The icon will disappear when disabled.
Bake Setting: The oven temperature can be set from 150°F up to 425°F. The Time Button can be set up to 1 hour baking time.
Broil Setting: The oven temperature can be set from 150°F up to 400°F. The Time Button can be set up to 1 hour 30 minutes baking time.
Warm Setting: The heating power will drop to half power and allow food to stay warm. The oven temperature will only set at 150°F for the Warm setting. The Time Button can be set up to 2 hours for the Warm setting.
Pizza Setting: The oven temperature can be set from 150°F up to 425°F. The Time Button can be set up to 45 minutes cooking time.
Toast Setting: The Toast setting temperature is 450°F and the Selection Adjustment Dial ranges from 1 (lightest) to 6 (darkest). The Time Button can be set to represent the number of slices to be toasted from 1 up to 6.
Clock Setting: When the Function Button is set to Clock, press the Time
Button to make a selection of hour, minutes or AM/PM. When the desired clock
setting is flashing, use the Selection Adjustment Dial to increase or decrease
the hours and minutes or to switch from AM to PM
Please note the display clock will remain illuminated when the Function Button
is set to CLOCK and the Toaster Oven returns to stand-by mode.
USING YOUR TOASTER OVEN
A solid surface countertop can be easily scratched, cracked, scorched, or damaged, especially when exposed to heat. To prevent damage, the following precautions should be observed when using this product:
- Always use a trivet under heat generating sources such as Toaster Ovens.
- Do not place hot pans, pots, ceramic or stoneware inserts, etc. directly on the countertop surface.
Before first use, remove any packing materials and wipe the body of your
Toaster Oven with a damp cloth. Remove wire rack, removable crumb tray,
16-inch pizza pan and baking pan.
Wash wire rack, crumb tray and pans in hot, soapy water, and dry thoroughly.
Place oven on a flat counter or other stable surface. Position oven at least 3
inches away from the wall or rear of counter. Make sure that nothing has been
placed on top of the oven. Ensure the crumb tray is in the proper position
before using. See CARE AND CLEANING instructions for proper crumb tray use.
Plug the cord into a 120 volt, 60 HZ AC outlet.
For the first time only, press the Function Button and select Bake, press the
Temp Button and use the Selection Adjustment Dial to select 450°F and then
select the Time Button and turn the Selection Adjustment Dial to 15 minutes.
Press Start. This will burn off any residue or oils still on the oven or
elements.
NOTE: The oven may smoke during this process. This is normal for a new oven
and will not last more than 10-15 minutes.
DO NOT WRAP THE CORD AROUND THE MAIN BODY OF APPLIANCE DURING OR AFTER USE.
Baking:

Press the Function Button and select Bake, then select the Temp Button and use the Selection Adjustment Dial to set the desired temperature ranging from 150°F to 425°F increasing or decreasing in 25°F increments.

Press the Time Button and use the Selection Adjustment Dial to set the desired time up to 1 hour baking time.

Press the Start/Stop button to start the cooking cycle. Please allow five minutes for the oven to preheat to the desired temperature.

While oven is preheating, place food on multipurpose pan. Very carefully open the oven door and place food inside while wearing oven mitts. CAUTION: INSIDE OF OVEN WILL BE HOT. USE OVEN MITTS OR HOT PADS TO PREVENT BURNING.
NOTE: If using a separate pan, first place the wire rack in one of the inner rack positions and place pan directly onto the wire rack. -
Close oven door and allow food to bake. Please note that only the bottom element will function during the Bake setting.

When the Timer Bell sounds 3 beeps and oven turns OFF, open door and remove food.
NOTE: Always monitor food very carefully to avoid overcooking. -
The Toaster Oven may be turned off at any time during the cooking cycle by pressing the Start/Stop button.
Broiling:
-
Place food to be broiled on multipurpose pan in the upper rack position inside the oven.
NEVER place food to broil directly on the wire rack. Close oven door. -
Press the Function Button and select Broil, then select the Temp Button and use the Selection Adjustment Dial to set the desired temperature ranging from 150°F to 400°F increasing or decreasing in 25°F increments.

Press the Start/Stop Button to begin the cooking cycle. Please note only the top element will function during broiling. When the cook cycle is complete, the Timer Bell will sound three times and the oven will shut off.

For even broiling, turn food over when it is about half finished. NOTE: Always monitor food very carefully when broiling to avoid overcooking. CAUTION: INSIDE OF OVEN WILL BE HOT. USE OVEN MITTS OR HOT PADS TO PREVENT BURNING.

The Toaster Oven may be turned off at any time during the cooking cycle by pressing the Start/Stop Button.
Warming:
- Place food to be warmed on multipurpose pan inside the oven. Close oven door.
- Press the Function Button and set it to Warm, then press the Time Button and use the Selection Adjustment Dial to set the time ranging from 1 minute up until 2 hours. Please note that the only temperature available on the Warm setting is 150°F.
- Press the Start/Stop Button to start the cooking cycle.
- When the Timer Bell sounds 3 beeps and oven turns OFF, open door and remove food.
- The Toaster Oven may be turned off at any time during the warming cycle by pressing the Start/Stop button.
Pizza:
- Place wire rack in any rack position inside oven. Place pizza on the 16-inch pizza pan, slide the pan onto the wire rack inside the oven and close oven door.
- Press Function Button and select Pizza setting, choose temperature setting by pressing the Temp Button and using the Selection Adjustment Dial. Pizza setting temperature options range from 150°F to 425°F.
- Press the Time Button and select the desired amount of time up to 45 minutes.
- Press the Start/Stop Button to start the heating cycle. Both heating elements will function during the Pizza setting.
- When the Timer Bell beeps three times and oven turns OFF, open door and remove pizza. CAUTION: INSIDE OF OVEN WILL BE HOT. USE OVEN MITTS OR HOT PADS TO PREVENT BURNING.
- NOTE: Always monitor food very carefully to avoid overcooking.
Toasting:
- Place wire rack in any rack position inside oven. Place bread on the wire rack and close oven door.
- Press Function Button and select Toast setting.
- Press Temp Button use the Selection Adjustment Dial to determing what toast level is desired from LIGHT to DARK.
- Press the Time Button and then use the Selection Adjustment Dial to choose how many slices are being toasted, ranging from 1 to 6 slices. Both heating elements will operate while bread is toasting. When the Toaster Oven has completed the cycle, a bell will sound three times and the oven will shut off. To stop toasting cycle early, simply press the Start/Stop Button.
Toasting Tips:
- Exact toasting settings are difficult to recommend due to personal preference.
- Results will vary depending on a particular type of bread’s moisture, thickness and texture.
- Remember that thicker breads, toaster pastries and any foods containing fillings will require a longer toasting time.
- Remove bread promptly after toasting to avoid over-toasting by residual heat.
- Any pastry or foods containing fillings will be very hot. Always remove with caution.
Convection Air Function:
- The Convection Air Function is a useful feature that can be used to increase air circulation while cooking.
- This function can be used with all cook settings: Bake, Broil, Warm, Pizza and Toast.
- Press the Convection Button to turn this feature on, and the Convection Icon will illuminate to the left of the temperature display when it is enabled. Press the Convection Button again to turn off this feature. The icon will disappear when disabled.
- Please note the Convection Air Function cannot be enabled or disabled after the cooking cycle has begun.
USEFUL HINTS
- Smoke may appear during broiling or baking. When broiling, it is always recommended to cut off excess fat on food before placing it in the Toaster Oven to minimize smoke. If the oven smokes during baking, this usually means the oven interior, Cal-rod elements or pan is dirty and requires cleaning. (See CARE AND CLEANING).
- Some cooking may produce condensation on the Toaster Oven door. This is normal and will quickly disappear.
- Frozen foods and thick meat will take longer to cook.
- To prevent heat loss, avoid opening the door during cooking unless necessary.
- When toasting, remember that frozen bread or multiple slices will require a longer toasting time.
- Except when toasting, NEVER place items directly on wire rack. Always use the multipurpose pan or another pan that fits on the wire rack.
- Remove all plastic and paper wrappings from food before cooking.
- Always make sure there is space between top of food being cooked and upper heating element.
CARE AND CLEANING
This appliance requires little maintenance. It has no user serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. Refer it to qualified personnel if servicing is needed.
TO CLEAN: Unplug unit and allow it to cool fully. After each use, when
Toaster Oven has cooled, clean food particles off with a damp sponge or cloth.
Never immerse Toaster Oven in water or any other liquid. Do not use abrasive
cleaners, as they may damage the unit.
For more thorough cleaning, wash rack, crumb tray and pans in hot, soapy
water. Before removing rack, crumb tray or pans, make sure the Toaster Oven is
unplugged and has cooled thoroughly.
CRUMB TRAY:
Slide out the removable crumb tray to clean. Use special care when opening the
crumb tray as excess crumbs may fall from the Toaster Oven onto the
countertop. Use a damp sponge or cloth to wipe away crumbs or any food
particles. After cleaning, slide in the crumb tray.
CAUTION: TO PREVENT COUNTERTOP FROM BEING DAMAGED, THE TOASTER OVEN MUST
BE OPERATED WITH THE CRUMB TRAY SECURELY IN PLACE, AND CLEANED OF EXCESS FOOD.
TO STORE: Unplug the Toaster Oven and store in its box or in a clean, dry
place.
ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
SELECT BRANDS, INC. warrants, subject to the conditions stated below, that
from the date of purchase, this product will be free from mechanical defects
for a period of one (1) year. SELECT BRANDS, INC., at its option, will repair
or replace this product found to be defective during the warranty period.
Should this product become defective by reason of improper workmanship or
material defect during the specified warranty period, Select Brands, Inc. will
repair or replace the same effecting all necessary parts replacements for a
period of one year from the date of purchase.
Transportation charges on parts, or products in whole, submitted for repair or
replacement, under this warranty, must be borne by the purchaser.
CONDITIONS: This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from
the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. This warranty
does not apply to product sold by third party resellers. Keep the original
sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty service or
replacement. Dealers, service centers, or retail stores do not have the right
to alter, modify or in any way, change the terms and conditions of this
warranty.
Warranty registration is not necessary to obtain warranty on Select Brands,
Inc. products. Save your proof of purchase receipt.
ABOUT YOUR PRODUCT WARRANTY: Most warranty repairs are handled routinely, but sometimes requests for warranty service may not be appropriate. For example, warranty service would NOT apply if the product damage occurred because of misuse, lack of routine maintenance, shipping, handling, warehousing or improper installation. Similarly, the warranty is void if the manufacturing date or the serial number on the product has been removed or the equipment has been altered or modified. During the warranty period, the authorized service dealer, at its option, will repair or replace any part that, upon examination, is found to be defective under normal use and service.
NORMAL WEAR: This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage
resulting from any of the following: Negligent use or misuse of the product;
Improper voltage or current; Use contrary to the operation instructions;
Deviation from instructions regarding storage and transportation; Repair or
alteration by anyone other than SELECT BRANDS, INC. or an authorized service
center. Further, the warranty does not cover Acts of God, such as fire, flood,
hurricanes and tornadoes.
SELECT BRANDS, INC. shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential
damages caused by the breach of any express or implied warranty. Except to the
extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability
or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of
the above warranty. Some states, provinces or jurisdictions do not allow the
exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations
on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusion
may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you
may also have other rights that vary from state to state or province to
province.

Customer Service representative will attempt to resolve warranty issues over
the phone. If telephone resolution is not possible, the Customer Service
representative will require your assistance in performing routine diagnostic
procedures. This warranty is effective for the time periods listed above and
subject to the conditions provided for in this policy.
