ROADSAFE GQ Front Diff Guard Instructions
Hardware Supplied
- 1 x Diff Guard
- 1 x Backing Plate
- 1 x M16xP2.0 x 100 bolt
- 2 x M14xP1.5 x 130 bolts
- 2 x M14 nyloc nuts
- 4 x M14 washers
Roadsafe 4WD Patrol Front Diff Guard is super easy to fit—and with the right tools at hand, should only take about 10 minutes.

Place Jack under RH front bushing aperture of radius arm. Do not jack the vehicle up; simply locate the jack to keep the radius arm located centrally (it just makes it easier).

Unbolt RH front radius arm bolt and remove. Replace with the 100mm bolt included in the kit.

Place the Diff Guard into position, with the Diff Guard mounting boss in line with the radius arm bolt. The Diff Guard is a snug fit up against the diff housing. Tighten new radius arm bolt into the Diff Guard mounting boss to finger tight.

Ensure brake lines are clear. Hold the backing plate in position and bolt to the Diff Guard using the 130mm bolts, washers & nylocs.

Tighten the backing plate into position, torqued to required specs.

Tighten the radius arm bolt to required specs.

Check clearances.
Please Note: If running caster plates on the front radius arms, the thickness of the caster plate will have to be cut down off the mounting boss on the Diff Guard for the guard to tighten up correctly to the caster plate.

All bolts to be tightened to appropriate torque value based on nominal size, pitch and grade. Radius arm bolt to be retightened to OE manufacturer’s specifications. Recheck in 500km.
