Product Usage Instructions
- Start by removing the bumper/bulbar to gain access to the chassis on the LH Passenger side.
- For each side, use the 3 x M14x1.5mm Hi-Tensile bolts supplied and insert them into the chassis.
- The driver’s side has nuts in the chassis ready to be used.
- On the LH Passenger side, install ‘Nuts on Wires’ inside the chassis.
- Ensure that all 3 bolts per tow point are fitted and torqued to the recommended settings to meet the tested standards.
- It is recommended to use a corresponding attachment point to the chassis on the other side of the vehicle when applying a pull to the tow point. This evenly distributes the force across the two tow points.
- Note that RP-PAT01 is sold individually because many bull bars already have one tow point built-in due to the construction of the GQ Chassis and the difficulty of accessing the internals of the chassis rail to install the retaining nuts.
- Install RP-PAT01 as matched pairs for optimal performance and warranty coverage.
- Ensure that all supplied and specified components are used during the installation of tow recovery points. Failure to do so may significantly reduce the working load limit (WLL) specified for each individual point, which can result in serious injury or death.
