USE
IMPORTANT:
Air in the hydraulic system can impair performance. Bleed the hydraulic system
before using the product for the first time by fully opening the release valve
(turn the handle anticlockwise). Apply pressure to the jack saddle and pump
the handle quickly several
times.
BLEEDING
IMPORTANT:
Before using for the first time
Before the product is used for the first time, bleed the hydraulic system as
instructed below and without any load.
- Remove the cover plate.
- Turn the release valve one full turn anticlockwise to the open position.
- Quickly pump the handle 6-8 times. Leave the handle completely down so that the oil fill plug is accessible.
- Carefully push the oil fill plug to one side with a screwdriver to release any air from the system. (Be careful not to damage or puncture the oil fill plug.)
- Replace the cover plate.
- Close the release valve by turning it clockwise.
- The product is now ready to use. Test for proper operation before lifting a load. Repeat bleeding if necessary.
Lifting
- Before lifting, make sure the handbrake is fully applied, the vehicle is in gear and the wheels are chocked to prevent any movement. Secure the load to prevent inadvertent shifting and movement.
- Place the jack at a suitable jacking point under the vehicle (see the vehicle manual). Ensure the jack saddle is located directly under the chosen jacking point so that the jacking point sits securely in the centre of the saddle.
- Insert the handle into the handle socket, ensuring it is correctly aligned.
- Turn the release valve knob clockwise until the valve is tightly closed.
- Pump the jack up until the saddle is just touching the jacking point. Before continuing to raise the load, double check that the saddle is centred, correctly positioned and has full contact with the jacking point.
- Continue to raise the load to the required height by pumping the handle. Place axle stands or other safety stands beneath the load and carefully lower the load until it is resting fully on the stands. Never let the load rest only on the jack.
Lowering
- Raise the load slightly so that the support stands can be removed.
- Remove the stands.
- Hold the handle with both hands so you can carefully and slowly open the release valve.
- Do not allow any persons, especially children, or pets under or near the load.Open the release valve cautiously by slowly turning the handle anticlockwise.
- Pull the jack from under the load. When the jack is not being used, the lifting arm should be fully retracted to minimise exposure to dirt and rust formation.
NOTE:
Always store the jack with the lifting arm fully retracted and the handle
upright.
MAINTENANCE
-
Store the product where it is protected from bad weather, corrosive fumes, dust, etc. Remove water, snow, sand, soil, oil, grease and other deposits from the product before use.
-
Periodically lubricate the castor wheels, front axle, lift arm, handle socket’s pivot bolts, release mechanism, other bearing surfaces and lubricating points fitted withgrease nipples. The warranty does not cover wear resulting from inadequate or incorrect lubrication. FIG. 7
-
It is not normally necessary to refill with hydraulic oil if there is no leakage from the hydraulic system. Any leakage in the hydraulic system must be rectified without delay by an authorised service agent in aclean, dust-free environment.
IMPORTANT:

-
Always inspect the product before using it. Do not use the product if it has been modified, if any parts are damaged or missing, if seals are damaged or worn, orif there is any leakage. All defects must be rectified before using the product again.
-
Repairs of the hydraulic system must be carried out by an authorised service agent – contact your local dealer.
FILLING UP WITH OIL
- Stand the jack on a horizontal surface and lower it fully.
- Remove the cover plate.
- Remove the oil fill plug.
- Fill with oil until it is just under the lower edge of the oil fill hole.
- Replace the oil fill plug.
- Replace the cover plate and bleed the hydraulic system.
CHANGING THE OIL
- Stand the jack on a horizontal surface and lower it fully.
- Open the release valve all the way by turning the handle anticlockwise as far as it will go.
- Remove the cover plate.
- Remove the oil fill plug.
- Lay the jack on its side over a tray and allow the oil to drain into the tray.
- Stand the jack on a horizontal surface with the saddle fully lowered. Fill with new oil until it is almost level with the lower edge of the oil fill hole. Cleanliness is important – do not allow any dirt orforeign matter to get into the oil through the oil fill hole.
- Replace the oil fill plug.
- Replace the cover plate and bleed the hydraulic system.
