USERS

This product has been designed to be handled by users of legal age who have read and understood these instructions.
Do not allow underage persons or persons who do not understand these instructions to use the product.
Before using this product, familiarize yourself with it. Make sure you know where all the controls are, the safety devices and how they should be used.
If you are an inexperienced user we recommend that you practice doing simple work and, if possible, in the company of an experienced person.

PERSONAL SAFETY

Do not force this machine. Use this machine, accessories, tools, etc. in accordance with these instructions taking into account the conditions and work to be performed. Using this machine for other than its intended purpose may cause a hazardous situation.
Be alert, watch what you are doing when operating this machine.
Do not use this machine when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
Avoid inhalation of exhaust gases. This machine produces dangerous gases such as carbon monoxide that can cause dizziness, fainting or death.
Check that all safety features are installed and in good condition. Do not use this machine if any of its components are damaged.
Always maintain proper foot support and operate the machine only when it is on a fixed, stable, level surface. Sliding or unstable surfaces can cause a loss of balance or control of the machine.
Always hold the machine by the handles with both hands. We recommend the use of a harness.
Never place your fingers or any other part of your body near the cutting accessories of the machine.
When starting up the machine, the cutting tool must not touch any objects or the ground.
Do not touch any of the engine components while the machine is running or just after it has stopped due to the high temperatures it reaches.
Do not operate the machine in rainy or extremely humid conditions.
Do not leave this machine unattended during operation.

WORK CLOTHES

Dress appropriately. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry that may get caught in moving parts. We recommend the use of: Eye protection (safety goggles), hearing protection, head, face, hand (resistant, non-slip gloves) and foot (non-slip shoes) protection.

WORK AREA SAFETY

Do not use the machine at extreme temperatures and keep it away from excessive moisture.
Do not use this machine in explosive atmospheres in the presence of flammable liquids, gases and dust.
Never start the machine in a closed room or enclosure. Exhaust gases and fuel vapors contain carbon monoxide and hazardous chemicals.
Keep the work area clean and well lit. Cluttered, dark areas can cause accidents.
Remove all objects from the work area before starting this machine. Objects in the vicinity of the product may be touched and projected by the machine causing personal injury.
Keep children, people or animals away while operating this machine.
When the work is done simultaneously by two or more people, always check the location of the others and keep a sufficient distance to ensure safety.
Remember that the machine operator is responsible for hazards and accidents caused to other people or things.
The manufacturer is in no way liable for damage caused by improper or incorrect use of this machine.

FUEL SAFETY

Fuel and oil are dangerous. Do not inhale or ingest. If you swallow fuel and/or oil, seek medical advice promptly.
If it comes into contact with fuel or oil, clean with plenty of soap and water immediately. If irritated eyes or skin are present, consult a doctor as soon as possible.
Do not refuel in enclosed or poorly ventilated areas. Fuel and oil vapors contain dangerous chemicals.
Fuel and oil are dangerous and highly flammable chemicals. Do not bring flames, sparks or heat sources close to the machine. Do not smoke while transporting fuel, filling the tank or while working. In case of fire, extinguish the fire with a dry powder extinguisher.
Always turn off the engine before refuelling.
Always refuel in well-ventilated areas and never with the engine running, or hot.
If a fuel leak is found, do not start or run the engine until the leak has been repaired.
Make sure the fuel cap is properly closed.
Fuel stored in the carburetor for long periods of time can cause a hard start and increase repairs and maintenance of the machine.
Always store fuel in approved containers. Do not use stored fuel for more than 2 months, it will make starting more difficult and produce unsatisfactory engine performance.

MAINTENANCE, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE SAFETY

Check regularly for broken parts or other conditions that may affect the correct operation of the machine.
Only replace worn or damaged parts immediately with original spare parts.
Carry out regular maintenance on the machine. Do not attempt any maintenance or repair work not described in this instruction manual. We recommend that maintenance and repairs not described in this manual be performed by an Official Service Facility.
Always clean the machine, especially the fuel tank, its surroundings and the air filter, of dust and dirt after finishing work.
Turn off the machine and disconnect the spark plug before making any adjustments, filling up, changing accessories, servicing, transporting or storing this machine.
Keep the handles of this machine dry and clean.
If the machine starts to vibrate strangely, turn it off and examine it for the cause. If you do not see the reason, take your machine to the Official Technical Service.
Reduce the engine speed when turning off the engine. If the engine is equipped with a fuel shut-off valve, use it when the engine has stopped.
To prevent burns or fire, allow the equipment to cool completely before transporting or storing.
When transporting the product, ensure that the engine is stopped and that the machine is properly secured to prevent it from tipping over, spilling fuel or becoming damaged.
The equipment is not weatherproof, and should not be stored in direct sunlight, high ambient temperatures, or in damp or wet locations.
Store the product out of the reach of children.

ASSEMBLY

MOUNTING THE HANDLE

Position the handle at the desired height and secure it with the four bolts.

Steps to follow:

Release the clamping handle (2) until the accessory bar snaps in gently.
Pull out the safety pin (1) and push the bar into the joint until it reaches the maximum depth. Make sure the drive rod fits properly into the power take-off shaft drive.
Turn the accessory bar until the safety pin snaps into the accessory bar housing.
Tighten the lever (2) until you have checked that the accessory bar is securely fastened

MOUNTING THE SAFETY GUARD

Remove the two bolts and the baffle plate with an Allen wrench and set aside.
Place the deflector guard over the gear head.
Secure the guard in place with the two bolts you previously put aside, using the Allen wrench.
Place the blade in the blade guard and secure it with the two screws.

INSTALLING THE METAL DISC

Place the inner bracket on the shaft and rotate it until the holes in the shaft and bracket match. When they match, fix them with the aid of the enclosed L-shaped wrench (1).
Place the outer bracket on the shaft, following the inner bracket, facing the blade.
Place the disc on the outer support of the shaft so that the hole in the blade corresponds to the socket in the outer support.
Place the cup washer on the outer bracket and tighten the nut counterclockwise.

INSTALLATION OF THE MULTITHREADED CARRIAGE

Place the inner bracket on the shaft and rotate it until the holes in the shaft and bracket match. When they match, fix them with the aid of the enclosed L-shaped wrench (1).
Place the lower part of the reel on the inner support located on the head shaft.
Place the nut and tighten counterclockwise.
Place the top of the reel on the axle and turn counterclockwise.

MULTITHREADED REEL LOADING

With the Allen wrench, loosen the locking screw (A) (counterclockwise) sufficiently so that the cutting lines can be removed or inserted through the cutting head.
Insert 2 nylon threads (B) approximately 350 mm (14”) long through the cutting head, so that the length of the thread on each side of the cutting head is the same.
Tighten the lawn mower head firmly and then, with the help of the Allen wrench, tighten the fixing screw (A) sufficiently (clockwise) so that the nylon threads are securely fastened.

USE OF MULTITHREADED REEL

Use nylon thread to cut grass, grass, weeds and small woody plants.

INSTALLATION OF THE SEMIAUTOMATIC REEL

Place the inner bracket on the shaft and rotate it until the holes in the shaft and bracket match. When they match, fix them with the aid of the enclosed L-shaped wrench (1).
Screw the semi-automatic reel manually to the axle in an anti-clockwise direction.

SEMI-AUTOMATIC LOADING OF THE REEL

Remove the lawn mowing carriage from the drive shaft by turning clockwise. To prevent the drive shaft from rotating together with the reel, lock them by securing an L-shaped wrench (enclosed) through the holes (1).
Place the lawn mower head (A) on a solid surface, then press down and turn the damper (B) clockwise to the right until the holes in the mowing line are aligned (C) and you can see through the head.
Insert the new string (D) through the lawn mower head so that the lengths of string on each side of the head are the same.
Hold the lawn mower head firmly, then turn the damper clockwise to roll it into the cutting line. Stop winding when there is approximately 50 mm (2”) of cutting line outside the head.

SEMI-AUTOMATIC LOADING OF THE REEL

USE OF SEMI-AUTOMATIC REEL

Use nylon thread to cut grass, grass, weeds and small woody plants.

PRODUCT USE

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

Important: use fuel that is new or has not been rested for more than 15 days. Mixing ratio of fuel with synthetic oil JASO FC 4% and JASO FD 2.5%.

Put half of the gasoline you are going to use into a fuel canister.
Add the synthetic oil for two-stroke engines.
Close the canister and shake it tightly to mix the gasoline with the oil.
Add the rest of the gasoline and shake the drum again.
Put the fuel canister lid on and clean up any spilled fuel.

FILLING THE FUEL TANK

Place the machine on a flat surface.
Clean any dirt or impurities from the fuel filler flap.
Remove the fuel cap and fill the fuel tank with fresh and clean fuel mixture.
Replace the cover and tighten it securely.
Clean up any fuel residue before restarting the machine

Do not use fuel substitutes in your engine, such as ethanol or methanol, and ready-made fuels. the use of such fuel will cause damage and void any applicable warranties.
Two-stroke engines must be used with a 25:1 fuel mixture ratio.
It is normal for a new engine to emit smoke during the first 5 hours of use during operation.
Mix only the fuel you will need. Do not store fuel for more than 30 days.
Use only new unleaded 95 gasoline.
Never use old or contaminated fuel to mix with 2-stroke oil.
Do not overfill the fuel tank and do not allow dirt or water to enter

COLD START

CONTROL POSITIONS (COLD ENGINE)

Prime the engine by pressing the carburetor priming pump four or five times. You should see fuel inside the priming pump.
Slide the start button to position “I” (Start).
Adjust the throttle trigger to idle speed:
- Press and hold the trigger lock.
- Pull and hold the throttle trigger.
- Press the accelerator lock.
- While pressing the throttle lock button, release the throttle trigger and throttle release lever.
- Release the accelerator lock.
  
  NOTE: The engine start is controlled by a two-position switch (START- STOP) installed in the centre of the throttle, normally labelled “I” for (START) and “O” for (STOP).
Extend the engine by shifting the starter lever and putting it in the “closed” position. ( ).
Pull the rope until it starts
Once it starts, place the elevator knob in the open or intermediate position as required.

CONTROL POSITIONS (HOT MOTOR)

Slide the start button to the “I” (Start) position.
Move the throttle lever to the “open” position ( ).

ENGINE START

ATTENTION: When starting the engine, make sure the cutting attachment is not near other people, animals or objects. This cutting device can rotate during commissioning.

Place the tool firmly on the ground, making sure it is stable and that the cutting attachment is not near any person or object. Hold the outer tube handle with your left hand and grab the starter cord with your right hand.
ATTENTION: The recoil starter may be damaged if abused.
- Never pull the starter to its limit.
- Always rewind the starter rope slowly.
Pull the starter rope slowly until you feel the motor engage.
Pull the starter rope quickly to start the engine

WHEN THE ENGINE STARTS

Open the choke by lowering the lever ( ). The cutting tool will engage and rotate when the engine is accelerated.
If the engine does not continue to run, repeat the starting procedures (for cold or hot engine).
When the engine starts, clean excess fuel from the combustion tank by accelerating the engine several times with the throttle trigger (using the throttle trigger automatically deactivates the idle speed).

IF THE ENGINE DOES NOT START

Repeat the appropriate starting procedures for “hot” or “cold” engine. If the engine still does not start after several attempts, it is probably drowned. Follow the procedure below.

STARTING A DROWNED ENGINE

Disconnect the spark plug wire and use the spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug (counterclockwise).
If the spark plug is dirty or impregnated with fuel, clean it or replace it.
Open the throttle and firmly squeeze the throttle trigger with your left hand. Quickly pull the starter rope with your right hand to clean excess fuel from the combustion chamber.
Replace the spark plug and tighten firmly. If you have a torque wrench, turn the spark plug to 16.7 18.6 Nm.
Repeat the startup procedure for hot “engine”.

STOPPING THE ENGINE

ATTENTION: The cutting tool can continue to rotate after the engine is switched off.

Cool the engine by letting it run at idle for 2 to 3 minutes.
Follow the start button to the Stop or 0 position.

CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT

ATTENTION: The cutting tool must never rotate with the engine idling.

When the throttle trigger is released, the engine must return to idle. The idle speed can be adjusted and should be low enough to allow the clutch to disengage the chain when the throttle trigger is released.

CHECKING AND ADJUSTING IDLE SPEED

Run the engine at idle for 2 to 3 minutes or until the engine runs warm.
If the cutting tool rotates at idle speed, reduce idle speed by turning the carburettor adjusting screw counterclockwise.
NOTE: If you have a tachometer, use it to adjust the idle speed. The standard idle speed is: 3000+/- 200rpm.
If the engine is choked and does not run or the engine does not accelerate normally, increase the idle speed by turning the adjusting screw (2) clockwise.
NOTE: The mixture cannot be adjusted in the carburetor.

USE OF THE METAL BLADE

Always make the cut from right to left.
A metal blade cuts better if it is kept at a distance of 1/3 of the edge. Use this area to cut shrubs and weeds. For mowing fresh grass, you can approach up to 2/3 of the blade tip.
Adjust the motor speed according to the object to be cut. Cut fresh grass at a medium speed and weeds and shrubs at a high speed.

NOTE: The low speed makes it easier for grass, twigs or weeds that become trapped in the blade and also the shaft and clutch to wear out more quickly.

USE OF SEMI-AUTOMATIC REEL

Nylon thread uses more power. Note that the rotation speed of the motor in operation will be 50% higher than when using a metal blade.
The nylon cutter cuts the grass with the same power of rotation of the cord. If you try to cut the grass along the length of the cord in a single pass, the speed of rotation decreases due to resistance and you will not be able to make a good cut. In the event of increased resistance, quickly move the nylon mower away from the grass, increase the speed of rotation and cut small amounts of grass in a single pass.
If you try to mow the grass by turning the mower in the opposite direction from left to right, the mowed grass rushes away from your body to avoid soiling your clothes.

MAINTENANCE

Good maintenance will extend the life of the machine. Prolonged or constant use may require more intensive maintenance for the machine to continue to function properly.

ATTENTION: Make sure the engine is completely shut down before performing any maintenance or repair. This will eliminate any potential risk.

NOTE: In harsh conditions such as high operating temperatures, higher than normal loads and dust, service intervals must be reduced.

ATTENTION

Keep the machine clean
Before performing any maintenance, repair or cleaning work on the machine, make sure that the motor and cutting tool are stopped. Disconnect the spark plug wire before performing any repair or maintenance work.
Never start the engine without the muffler or with the muffler damaged. Make sure the muffler is tight and in good condition.
Clean the housings of your machine with a cloth dampened with water. Never use gasoline, solvents, detergents or any other liquid to clean the machine.
The sharpening of the blade must be carried out by the Official Technical Service. Do not sharpen the blade.
Do not attempt any maintenance or repair work not described in the instruction manual.
Contact Greencut Technical Support if you do not have the necessary tools or experience.
Use of the machine in one year should not exceed 260 hours.
The maximum continuous running time of the machine without cooling is 2 hours, as long as the oil level is full, and no over-use of the oil or other problems have been noted.

AIR CLEANER

ATTENTION: Check and clean the air filter. If you notice any damage or alterations to the filter, replace it with a new one.

To clean the filter:

Remove the choke cap by levering at the bottom. (the knob must be in the open position)
Remove the filter cover
Remove the filter.
Clean the filter with soapy water
Rinse the filter with plenty of clean water
Add a few drops of oil inside
Replace the filter

FUEL FILTER
The fuel tank filter is located at the end of the fuel intake pipe and can be removed with the help of a hook wire.

Check the fuel filter regularly.
Do not allow dirt to get into the fuel tank to prevent the filter from getting dirty.

SPARK PLUG
Keep the spark plug and connections tight and clean.
Remove and clean the spark plug every 10/15 hours of machine operation. Clean the outer parts thoroughly and apply a light coat of oil to all metal surfaces. Set the spark plug electrode gap to 0.6-0.7 mm.

If necessary, replace the spark plug.

Remove the spark plug and put about 3 ml of oil into the cylinder through the hole in the spark plug. Slowly pull the recoil starter out 2 or 3 times so that the oil covers the inside of the engine evenly. Replace the spark plug.
Before storing the machine, repair or replace any worn or damaged parts. Make sure the protective covers are in place.
Blow dust or debris from the air filter element using compressed air if available.
Store the machine in a clean, dry, dust-free place.

BLADE
The blades should be checked regularly. Blunt blades will reduce the working performance and cause damage to the machine.
Sharpen each end of the blade and make sure the bottom corner is rounded.
Do not cool the blade with water as it may crack.

GEARBOX
Grease the gearbox every 25 hours of use. Remove the cutting pads to remove the accumulated grease.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The table includes some of the most common problems, their causes and remedies.

TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

Allow the equipment to cool completely before transporting or storing.
Avoid a location exposed to sunlight when placing the machine in a vehicle. If the machine is left in a locked vehicle for many hours, high temperatures inside the vehicle can cause the fuel to evaporate and cause a possible explosion.
To prevent fuel loss during transport, the product should be secured in its normal operating position and with the fuel cap closed.
Always store the product in a clean, safe, dry place with temperatures between 0º and 45ºC.
The equipment is not weatherproof and should not be stored in direct sunlight, high temperatures or in damp places.
Never store the equipment in places where flammable materials, combustible gases or liquids, etc. are present.
To reduce the risk of fire, keep the machine clean by removing traces of material, oil and grease.
For long periods of storage, store the machine without fuel. The stored fuels must be stabilized with a stabilizer.
Store the machine out of the reach of children.

RECICLYING AND DISPOSING

Worn products are potentially recyclable and should not be disposed of in the usual waste. Help us to protect the environment and preserve natural resources. Dispose of the device in an environmentally friendly manner. Do not dispose of it with household waste. Its plastic and metal components can be separated and recycled. Take this appliance to an approved recycling centre (green dot).

Gasoline, used oils, oil/gasoline blends and objects stained with gasoline (e.g., rags) should not be disposed of in regular trash, sewage, dirt, rivers, lakes or the sea. Oil-stained items should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations: take them to a recycling center.

The materials used in the packaging of the machine are recyclable: please dispose of them in the appropriate container.

GUARANTEE

GREENCUT guarantees all GREENCUT products for a period of 3 years (valid for Europe). The warranty is subject to the date of purchase taking into account the intended use of the product.

As a condition subject to warranty, the original receipt must be presented indicating the date of purchase and its description as well as the defective tool.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, especially on blades, blade fasteners, turbines, light sources, fan and transmission belts, impellers, air filters, spark plugs and damage caused by improper use, especially noncompliance with operating and maintenance instructions.

In the event that repairs or modifications have been made by the consumer or other than with original GREENCUT spare parts, the warranty will be voided.

In the event of a justified warranty claim, we are entitled, at our discretion, to repair or replace the defective tool free of charge. Other claims beyond this warranty are not valid.
