Installation

  1. Connect up to four USB peripherals to the USB-A Data/Charge Ports located on the USB Hub.
  2. Connect the Universal Power Adapter from an AC outlet, to the DC 12V Port on the USB Hub.
    Note: Without power being provided to the USB Hub via the Universal Power Adapter , the USB Hub will not operate in any capacity.
    3. Use the USB-C to USB-B Host Cable or USB-A to USB-B Host Cable, to connect a USB port on the Computer to the USB-B Host Port , located on the USB Hub.
    • The Computer will automatically detect the device and install the required drivers for the USB Hub.
    • Only one Host Cable is required, depending upon which Port Type is available on the Computer. The other Host Cable can be stored for future use.

Operation

USB Port Power Switches
Each USB-A Data/Charge Port on the USB Hub, features a corresponding USB Port Power Switch adjacent to it.

To Activate a USB-A Data/Charge Port

  • Press the corresponding USB Port On/Off Switch into the ON position.
    • The USB peripheral that’s connected to the USB-A Data/Charge Port will receive power, and the Computer will automatically detect the USB peripheral.
    • The corresponding USB Port Host Connection LED will turn on solid blue.

Note: The USB-A Data/Charge Port will still provide power to the USB peripheral, even when the USB Hub is not connected to a Computer, provided the USB Port On/Off Switch is set into the ON position. However, the USB Hub must be connected to a computer in order for the USB Port Host Connection LED to tun on.

To Deactivate a USB-A Data/Charg e Port

  • Press the corresponding USB Port On/Off Switch into the OFF position.
  •  The USB peripheral that’s connected to the USB-A Data/Charge Port will no longer receive power, and the Computer will no longer detect the USB peripheral.
  • The corresponding USB Port Host Connection LED will turn off.
