Product Description & Main Ingredients

D Tech Accuprint Surgical Guide is resin for 3D Printing of surgical Guides.
Main Ingredients
Methacrylate Oligomers, Photoinitiator.

Indications

It is a photopolymer used for manufacturing of 3D-printed surgical Guides. Suitable for printing devices such as surgical Guides, drilling templates, pilot drill Guides.

Contraindications

  1. Surgical Guide should not be used for any purposes other than the production of dental surgical Guides only.
  2. Any processing which deviates from that described in the instructions for use can have negative consequences on the chemical and physical quality of Surgical Guide. Please contact a practitioner/doctor if an allergic reaction or intolerance occurs.

Precautions (Please read carefully before use)

  1. Protective clothing must be worn when handling Surgical Guide. Safety goggles and nitrile gloves must be used.
  2. Instructions on how to handle plastic parts made of 3DR Guide. A dust mask must be worn too due to potential dust formation while the printed objects are being processed. It is prohibited to use plastic parts made of Surgical Guide as auxiliary equipment for food and drinks applications
  3. Further information on handling the product can be found in the safety data sheet. However, we cannot completely rule out the possibility of personal reactions to individual components in isolated cases. In such cases, the respective user should discontinue use of Surgical Guide.
  • Inhalation
Irritates the respiratory organs. High concentrations can lead to irritation of the respiratory passages, dizziness, headaches and loss of consciousness.

  • Skin contact
Sensitization or irritation are possible from contact with the skin. Repeated and/ or extended skin contact can cause inflammations or allergic skin reaction.

  • Eye contact
High air concentrations can lead to eye irritations.

  • Swallowing
Low oral toxicity; ingestion can, however, lead to irritation of the gastrointestinal tract.

Direction For Use

Preparation
In Bottle: Agitate/shake bottle vigorously prior to pouring for at least one minute. It must be stored in the original sealed bottle at room temperature (approx. 15-30°C) in a dark, dry place. Ensure a minimum wall thickness of 2mm when designing. Surgical guides should be printed horizontally and care should be taken to plan the support only on the non-seating area (usually occlusal)
Note- Surgical Guide is one of the system components in the 3D print system. The printing settings can be found in the instructions for use for the respective printer or write to info@dtechasia.com
Design of the Surgical Guide File
Once the intraoral scans of the patient are submitted to a dental-design service/lab, the dental guide is designed and provided in STL file format by the dental-design service/lab.
Printing of Surgical Guide

  1. Please wear protective gloves (nitrile gloves), protective clothing, goggles and/or face protection during processing.
  2. The ideal working temperature range for Surgical Guide is between 15-30°C
  3. When decanting, make sure that the printing resin is not exposed to daylight.
  4. For further processing – selecting the resin, setting up the print job – as part of the printing process, follow the respective printer instructions for use.
  5. Apply D Tech Accuprint Surgical Guide set. (For settings to be used on your specific printer you can write to info@dtechasia.com)

Notes- Before starting any printing procedure, Surgical Guide must be inspected it must be mixed until homogeneous.

Washing of Surgical Guide

  1. On completion of printing, the print objects are detached from the build platform by using the spatula supplied.
  2. The print object should be cleaned in two steps with IPA using cleaning bath.
  3. Since this is a biocompatible material, the IPA used should be clean and dedicated for biocompatible use only. IPA previously used for cleaning of models should not be used for cleaning guides.
  4. 1st wash- Clean the print object for 2 min in IPA solution in cleaning bath
  5. 2nd Wash- The precleaned print object must be cleaned thoroughly for 2 min using IPA solution

Notes- The entire cleaning process should not take longer than 5 minutes as this could otherwise have a detrimental effect on the print objects.

Finishing and Post curing

  1. Support structures, if present, are removed either a cutting wheel or side cutters can be used.

  2. It must be ensured that the printed object is not deformed

  3. The completely cleaned print objects must be post-cured to attain the required material properties
    and biocompatibility.

  4. Sterilization by Autoclaving- Autoclave for 15min at 121oC. Make sure no mechanical forces are
    applied to guide while sterilization.

  5. The Surgical guide resin has the following color changes
    1. After print – Yellowish Translucent| 2. After cleaning- Frosty colorless
    ---|---
    3. After post curing – Orangish Translucent| 4. After Autoclaving – light yellowish Translucent

  6. The orangish tint goes away during the autoclaving process acting as an indicator of autoclaving process
