Product Usage Instructions

To control the W5S, follow these steps:

  1. Insert the earbuds into your ears and adjust them accordingly to fit your ears.
  2. To play or pause music, press the button once.
  3. To skip forward, press the button twice.
  4. To skip back, press the button three times.
  5. To adjust the volume, press the button and hold for 4 seconds, then use a single press to increase the volume or a double press to decrease the volume.
  6. To activate Siri or Google Assistant, press and hold the button for 2 seconds.
  7. To answer or end a call, press the button once.
  8. To hang up the phone, press the button twice.

The package includes medium-sized ear tips by default. If needed, you can use the small or large ear tips provided. If you encounter any issues with the earbuds, try the following troubleshooting steps

Recommendations to the end-users

  • Do not subject cells or batteries to mechanical shock.

  • In the event of a cell leaking, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with the skin oreyes.
    If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of waterand seek medical advice.

  • Do not use any charger other than that specifically provided for use with the equipment.

  • Observe the plus (+) and minus (-) marks on the cell, battery and equipment and ensure correct use.

  • Do not use any cell or battery which is not designed for use with the equipment.

  • Do not mix cells of different manufacture, capacity, size or type within a device.

  • Always purchase the battery recommended by the device manufacturer for the equipment.

  • Keep cells and batteries clean and dry.

  • Wipe the cell or battery terminals with a clean dry cloth if they become dirty.

  •  Secondary cells and batteries need to be charged before use. Always use the correctcharger and refer to the manufacturer’s instructions or equipment manual for propercharging instructions.

  • Do not leave a battery on prolonged charge when not in use.

  • After extended periods of storage, it may be necessary to charge and discharge the cells or batteries several times to obtain maximum performance.

  • Retain the original product literature for future reference.

  • Use the cell or battery only in the application for which it was intended.

  • When possible, remove the battery from the equipment when not in use.

  • Dispose of properly.

Connect earphones

Open the charging case, take out the both earbuds, both earbuds will automatically tum on and work together.

Charge

The charging case cover must be closed

Use a 5V/2A charger to charge the charging case by the USB-C cable.

Three lights

L: put the left earbud in the case:
Red light: charging; fully charged: indicator turns off.
R: put the right earbud in the case:
Red light: charging; fully charged: indicator turns off.
M: Light shows blue: 30% – 100% power.
Light shows red: less than 30% power
Fast flash red for 5 min: only 1% power left
M turns off: the charging case will stop work in 12s

How to Control

Wear
Insert the earbuds into your ears and adjust accordingly to fit your ears.

Medium size ear tips are attached by default, the package contains small and large sizes too.

Stereo (left and right earphones work together)

Step 1: Open the charging case.

Step 2: Take the both earbuds out from the charging case at the same time. both earbuds will sound “power on”, both earbuds will flash blue light three times at the same time. Within 6s, both earbuds will turn on automatically and work together. One earbud will flash blue and red light, the other earbud will flash no light, and the earbud flashing blue and red light will sound “pairing mode”.

Step 3: Connect Wi-Fi and turn on Bluetooth, search for “W5S”, click it, both earbuds will connect your phone at the same time, and sound “Connected”, must finish this step within 3 minutes, otherwise, both earbuds will turn off, you have to repeat step 1/2/3 again.

Only use left or right earphone

Step 1: Open the charging case

Step 2: Take the left or right earbud from the charging case, keep the other earbud in the charging case. the left or right earbud will sound ” power on”, within 6s, the left or right earbud will turn on automatically. The left or right earbud will flash blue light three times, then flash blue and red light.

Step 3: Connect Wi-Fi and turn on Bluetooth, search for “W5S” click it, the left or right earbud will connect your phone and sound “Connected”.

Notice: If the earbuds connected the device before the earbud will reconnect your Bluetooth device automatically within 6s.

Factory reset

If the left and right earbuds can not work together or the earbuds are out of sync, please do factory reset:

  1.  On your linked device go to the bluetooth settings. Unpair  “W5S”, click “ignore” the device. Then immediately turn off your device’s bluetooth.
  2. Take the left and right earbuds from the charging case. Press and hold both earphone buttons at the same time for 10 seconds. Release when the red light is showing. Both earbuds should now turn off.
  3. Long press both earphone buttons for 12s at the same time, the earbuds will sound “tum on” – “pairing mode” – “dengdeng” – “dengdeng”, after hearing the second “dengdeng”, release them.
  4. Then put both earbuds back into the charging case and close the cover, both earbuds will pair with each other.
  5. If you want to pair with both earbuds, open the case, take out both earbuds, one earbud would blink red and blue within 6s, the other earbud with no light.Turn back on your device’s bluetooth, search for “W5S”, select it, both earbuds should connect the device, and work together.

Important Tips

  1. Please fully charge the Umi earphones at the first time.
  2. The earbuds underwater more than 5 minutes, you must dry them first when you use them again. Otherwise, sometimes the earbuds sound will be loud or small.
  3. If the earbuds have water, you must dry them first and then use them again. Do not charge them with water directly.
  4. Waterproof performance is only for fresh water, tap water, sweat, swimming pool water and salt water. Under certain circumstances in the above five types of environment, the waterproof performance may not be applicable. Waterproof performance is not applicable in other liquid environments except the above five types.
  5. The earbuds are IPX7 waterproof, the charging case is not waterproof, please do not seep into the case interior when using.
