SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Never attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.

Never attempt to charge batteries not intended to be used with this charger.

If the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised service centre to avoid the risk of electric shock.

The product can be used by children from 8 years and upwards and by persons with physical, sensorial or mental disabilities, or persons who lack experience or knowledge, if they are supervised or receive instructions concerning the safe use of the product and understand the risks involved with its use. Do
not allow children to play with the product. Do not allow children to clean or maintain the product without superv1s1on. -
Keep small children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the product. Keep the charger and the power cord away from children under eight
years of age. -
Pull out the plug plug from the power point before inserting or removing the battery.

Never leave the product unattended – risk of fire and electric shock.

Protect the product from moisture. Damp or dirty conditions can have an adverse effect on the product.

Never immerse the product in water or any other liquid, or use it where there is a risk of it being splashed, or dropping into water.

WARNING! Explosive gas. Avoid sparks and naked flames. Make sure there is adequate ventilation when using the product.

Connect the product to an easily accessible power point near the battery charger.

The product is only intended for household use, not for commercial use.

Connect the product via a residual current device (max 30 mA) if possible. Never modify the power cord or plug!

Never pull out the plug with the power cord, or touch the power cord with wet hands. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces/objects, oil, sharp edges and moving objects.

Check the product for damage.

Be careful when handling and using the product.

Avoid dropping the product and do not subject it to knocks and blows – risk of material damage and personal injury.

Never use a damaged battery charger or battery.

Do not insert objects or your fingers in the openings on the product.

Do not expose the product to rain or moisture – risk of corrosion.

Do not expose the product to dust and debris – risk of blockage and overheating.

The product has a built-in safety function which means that it can be left connected to the battery (in or out of a vehicle) for long periods when the vehicle is not in use (for example vehicles that are used irregularly or seasonally), without risking damaging the battery. The product also has functions that provide protection from short circuiting and incorrect connection, and starts automatically after a power failure.
CHARGING
WARNING!
- Read these instructions carefully before use.
- Disconnect the power supply before connecting or disconnecting the battery.
- Explosive gas forms during battery charging. Avoid sources of heat, such as naked flames or sparks. Ensure good ventilation.
- The charging current is set automatically, depending on the battery capacity and/or charging level.
- Winter mode (for 12 V lead-acid battery and 12 V AGM battery): temperature 5°C or less.
- Built-in overheating protection and spark protection.
- Ambient temperature in operation -10 to 40°C, in storage -10 to 50°C.
- The charging current can be reduced if the battery temperature exceeds 40°C during charging. If the temperature exceeds 45°C the charging stops, and is resumed when the battery has cooled to a safe temperature.
Indication of charging level
Every marking corresponds to 20%. The frame flashes when charging is in
progress.
When the frame and all the markings are lit, the battery is fully charged and
the product switches to standby mode.
Resolution, battery voltage: 0.1 V. Indication of incorrect polarity, battery
fault/or connection fault.
CONNECTION TO BATTERY (IN VEHICLE)
- Connect the red positive lead(+) to the positive terminal(+) on the battery.
- Connect the black negative lead (-) to the chassis, at a safe distance from the battery and fuel lines.
- Plug the charger into a power point. Place the charger as far away from the battery as the charging cables permit. After charging:
- Unplug the charger from the power point.
- Disconnect the black negative cable (-) from the chassis.
- Disconnect the red positive lead ( +) from the positive terminal(+) on the battery.
CONNECTION TO BATTERY (OUTSIDE VEHICLE)

Connect the red positive lead(+) to the positive terminal(+) on the battery.

Connect the black negative lead (-) to the negative terminal (-) on the battery.

Plug the charger into a power point. Place the charger as far away from the battery as the charging cables permit.
After charging: -
Unplug the charger from the power point.

Disconnect the black negative cable (-) from the negative terminal (-) on the battery.

Disconnect the red positive lead ( +) from the positive terminal(+) on the battery.
MAINTENANCE
- Replace outgoing fuses when necessary (5 A blade fuse).
- Replace mains fuse when necessary.
