DESCRIPTION

Snow chain for ATV, transverse with studs.
Intended for four-wheelers with smaller treads on the tires.
A. Transverse chain hook
B. Quick-release link
C. Clamp hook
FIG. 1

ATTACHMENT

  1. Lay out the snow chain flat beside the ATV wheel, with the sharp/protruding ends of the links and transverse chain hooks turned up as in figure 1A. Straighten out the snow chain so that all the parts are extended, flat, and not entangled.

  2. Put the chain on the tire without turning it. The protruding and sharp parts and the ends of the transverse chain hooks should be turned outwards from the tire. Pull the chain so that it touches the surface immediately in front of the tire. Work the front transverse chain under the tire, to prepare to roll over the chain.
    FIG. 2

  3. Roll the ATV forward over the chain until the quick-release links and clamp hooks hang halfway up on the tire (level with the wheel axle) and both ends of the chain are easily accessible. Center the chain on the tire tread.
    FIG. 3

  4. Fasten the quick-release links and clamp hooks.
    – First clamp to the inside of the wheel. Stretch the chain parts on the inside of the wheel and note the number of links that remain after stretching. Count the same number of links on the outside of the wheel and hook the end of the clamp hook through the link you have counted to
    FIG. 4
    – Hook the clamp hook under the side chain link. The snow chain should sit firmly and well-tensioned. Retention if necessary by repeating steps 5 and 6.
    FIG. 5

  5. Drive, check, and retain by repeating steps 5 and 6 until the chain sits firmly on the tire.
    FIG. 6

  6. Check that the quick-release links and clamp hooks are secure. Fasten excess chain length with heavy-duty cable ties.
    FIG. 7
