WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
Read all instructions before using this Four Seasons unit.
- Extreme caution is necessary when the Four SeasonsTM unit is used near children or invalids and whenever the unit is left operating and unattended. Always supervise children and keep them away from the unit.
- Do not operate any Four SeasonsTM unit with a damaged cord or plug or after the unit malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard the Four Seasons unit or return it to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
- Do not use outdoors.
- This Four Seasons unit is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas or similar indoor locations near water. Never place the Four Seasons unit in a location where it might get wet or fall into a bathtub or other water source.
- Do not run the cord under carpeting or cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over
- To disconnect Four Seasons unit, turn all controls off, then remove plug from outlet. Do not unplug by pulling on the cord. Do not pull the plug from outlet when unit is turned on.
- This product is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial use.
- Always unplug the power cord from outlet before opening or filling the water tank. When filling the water tank, use extreme caution to ensure that water is poured only into the water tank and that the rest of the Four Seasons unit does not get wet. Never plug in the unit if it gets wet.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified technician.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock, fire or damage the Four Seasons unit.
- This product operates at 120 VAC, 60Hz only.
- To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
- Always plug the Four Seasons unit directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
- CAUTION This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch the hot surfaces of the unit. Use the top handle when moving the Four Seasons unit. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.91m) from the font of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
- This heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
- Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer will void warranty and may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
- Do not overfill the water tank as this may cause the risk of electric shock.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacture or its service agent or a similarity qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
- The heater must not be located immediately below a socket-outlet.
- Do not use this heater in the immediate surrounding of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
- WARNING: care should be taken when using the appliance due to the emission of hot water vapor.
- Appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
- WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
- This product complies with the maximum allowable concentration of ozone of 0.050 parts per million by volume (ppmv) in a 24-hour period. The Health Canada Guideline 2010 recommends that the maximum exposure limit, based on an averaging time of 8 hours, is 0.020 ppmv or less when tested in a sealed, controlled room approximately 30 m3.

ASSEMBLY AND USE
WARNING: Unplug the Four Seasons unit prior to filling the tank with water
PREPARING FOR OPERATION

Open the packing box and take out the Four Seasons unit.
-
Turn the unit upright for operation.

To remove the humidifier wick frame, press the release tab and pivot the frame outwards and then lift it out of the unit. See Figure 1.
NOTE: You must remove the wick frame before you can remove the tank. -
Remove the tank by sliding it out of the unit. See Figure 2.

Fill the water tank with clean water to maximum water level marking on tank.
CAUTION: Do not overfill the tank. Use extreme caution to ensure that water is poured only into the water tank and that the rest of the unit stays dry. Never plug in the unit if it gets wet. -
After filling, put the tank back into the main body and replace the humidifier wick frame.
WARNING: This heater is equipped with a temperature limiting thermostat. If the unit should sense an overheat condition, the element will stop heating. It can only resume operation when user manual reset the unit.
TO RESET HEATER: Unplug the unit and wait 10 minutes for the unit to cool down, then plug unit back and follow the “USING THE FOUR SEASONSTM” instruction described in this manual.
USING THE Four Seasons

Plug the unit into an electrical outlet and press the power button to turn on your Four Seasons unit.

Turn the mode knob to select the desired function. You may choose to use either the heater, the humidifier, or the heater and humidifier together.
Note: No matter which mode you select, the True HEPA air purifier feature will always be active. -
Once you have chosen the mode you can control how much air passes through your Four Seasons unit by sliding the fan speed button to low, medium or high as you prefer.

When you select either the heater mode or the heater + humidifier mode you may control the amount of heat your Four Seasons produces. Choose your desired heat output with the variable control.
REPLACING THE HEPA FILTER
- Make sure unit is turned off and unplugged. To remove the True HEPA cover frame, press the release tab and pull the frame outwards. See Figure 3A/B.
- Remove the True HEPA filter by pulling the filter out from the unit. See Figure 4.
- Insert a new HEPA filter, then place HEPA cover frame back into position.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Always unplug the Four Seasons unit prior to cleaning or other maintenance.
CLEANING THE HUMIDIFIER WICK FRAME:
- Remove the humidifier wick frame as explained in the “ASSEMBLY AND USE” section of this manual.
- With the humidifier wick frame lying in front of you, gently bend each side of the wick frame to release the bottom roller. See Figure 5.
- Release the top roller from the frame by carefully bending back the frame bracket and removing the roller axle from the bracket hole. See Figure 6. Remove wick from rollers.
- To clean the wick you may wash it in your washing machine on a gentle cycle or use a mild detergent to wash by hand. Rinse with clean water. Be sure it is completely dry before reinserting.
- Reinsert the humidifier wick into the rollers and then insert the humidifier wick frame into the unit.
CLEANING THE WATER TANK:

Remove the humidifier wick frame as shown previously.
-
Remove the water tank as demonstrated earlier in this manual.
Clean the tank with water and mild detergent. -
Rinse thoroughly with clean water before reinstalling. Hand wash only.
STORAGE
Loop the cord around 6- 8 inches and wrap with a cord tie. Place the unit in
the original box and store in a cool, dry place.
WARNING: Any servicing other than as described in this manual should be
performed by an authorized service representative. Do not wash the tank in the
dishwasher.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
If you are having problems with your Four Seasons, please refer to the following suggestions:
ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Your Four Seasons unit is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the original purchase date. Should the product have a defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace it without charge to you (a shipping and processing fee will apply). To obtain service under warranty, simply call our customer service center toll-free at 1.800.875.8577.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, misuse or any use other than as intended and described in this product manual, or damage resulting from failure to maintain and clean this product as specified in this product manual. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the Four Seasons unit.
ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THIS PRODUCT, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD, AND NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WILL APPLY AFTER THIS PERIOD.
Some states do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties, so the above limitation may not apply to you. While this warranty gives you specific legal rights, you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.
