Safety instructions for operation

  • Read and understand the instructions before you use the product.
  • Do not let children or unauthorized persons operate the product.
  • Make sure that no unauthorized persons are in the work area during operation.
  • Do not do modifications to the product.
  • Only use original spare parts. Spare parts must not be repaired.
  • Keep the work area clean.
  • Always wear personal protective equipment when operate the product. Refer to “2.3 Personal protective equipment” on page 15.
  • Do not wear loose-fitting clothing that can get caught in the moving parts. Long hair must be tied back or worn in a hairnet.
  • Make sure that the product is installed on a stable and level ground. Make sure that the surface can hold the weight of the product and the workpieces.
  • Make sure that the product is installed with screws to the floor. Make sure that the screws are tight.
  • Do not use the product to compress a spring. The spring can jump up and cause serious injury.
  • Keep the product clean. Keep the product free from tools and loose items.
  • Do not overload the product. Use the pressure gauge to do a check of the applied load. Do not apply pressure that cause damage to a workpiece.
  • Do not move the product when it holds a load.
  • Do not change the pressure relief valve on the product.
  • Follow the instructions on the warning labels.
  • The operator is responsible for accidents that occur to other persons and their property.
  • Make sure that you clearly read signs and decals. Replace signs and decals that have become illegible or lost.
  • Make sure to always have a god foothold when you use the product.
  • Keep your hands, feet and other parts of your body away from the pressing area.
  • Do a check of the product before each use. Make sure that all screws are tight. Do not use a damage product.
  • Only use the product indoors in dry environment.

Personal protective equipment

  • Always wear non-slip shoes
  • Wear approved safety glasses or a visor.
  • Wear gloves when you do maintenance. The cutting blade is sharp.

Assembly

To install the product

  1. Install 1 foot (2) and 1 side piece (1) on each side of the bottom bracket (3). Use the screws M12x35 (4), washers 12 (5), spring washers 12 (6) and nuts M12 (7). (Figure 1) Hamron-WORKSHOP-Press-fig-1
  2. Install the crossbars (11) on the 2 sides. Use the screws M10x 25 (13), screws M10 x 30 (12), nuts M10 (8), washers 10 (10), and spring washers 10 (9). (Figure 2)
  3. Install the support plate (15) to the top crossbar (16). Use the screw M8 x 25 (14). (Figure 3) Hamron-WORKSHOP-Press-fig-2
  4. Install the top crossbar (16) to the sidepiece (1) on the 2 sides. Use screws M16 x 35 (20), nut M16 (19), spring washer M16 (18) and washer 16 (17). (Figure 4)
  5. Install the cylinder (21) in the hole in the support plate (15). Install the bottom ring nut (22) to the cylinder (21).(Figure 5) Hamron-WORKSHOP-Press-fig-3
  6. Put the 2 press bed frames (23) together with the 4 M12x130 screws (24) through the bushings (25). Lock with the nuts M10 (8), spring washers 10 (9) and washers 10 (10). (Figure 6)
  7. Install the press bed frame pins (26) in the press and put on the installed support frame. (Figure 7) Hamron-WORKSHOP-Press-fig-4
  8. Fit the pump (28) to the right hand crossbar. Use the screws M10x30 (27), spring washers 10 (9) and washers 10 (10). (Figure 8)

  10. Install the nylon ring (31) and the pressure gauge (32). (Figure 10)

  12. Install the supporting beams (33). (Figure 12)

Operation

To do before first use

  1. Open the release valve and pump until the hydraulic system is free from air.
  2. Do a check of the product. Make sure that all screws are tight. Do not use a damage product.

To operate the product

Warning! Read and understand the instructions before you use the product.

  1. Put a block on the supporting beams.
  2. Put the workpiece on the block.
  3. Turn the release valve to close it.
  4. Pump until the piston is near the workpiece.
  5. Carefully align the workpiece.
  6. Pump to reach the required load unto the workpiece. Use the pressure gauge to do a check of the load. Refer to “8 Technical data” on page 16 for maximum load of the product.
  7. Open the release valve and let the piston return to start position.
  8. Remove the workpiece from the press.

Maintenance

To do maintenance of the product

  • Lubricate the mechanical parts with machine oil. Use an oil can.
  • If the effect of the product decrease, remove air from the hydraulic system. Refer to “4.1 To do before first use” on page 15.
  • Regulary do a check of the oil level. Refer to “5.2 To do a check of the oil level” on page 16.

To do a check of the oil level

  1. Remove the plug from the top of the oil tank.
  2. Do a check of the oil level.
  3. If necessary, fill with hydraulic jack oil of god quality.
  4. Install the plug to the top of the oil tank.

Storage

Keep the product in a dry and cool area.

Disposal

To discard the product
Make sure that you follow local regulations when you discard the product. Do not burn the product.
