TECHNICAL DATA

Always wear ear protection.
The declared vibration value, which has been measured by a standardised test method, can be used to compare different tools with each other and for a preliminary assessment of exposure.

WARNING!
The actual vibration level when using power tools may differ from the specified maximum value, depending on how the tool is used. It is therefore necessary to determine which safety precautions are required to protect the user, based on an estimate of exposure in actual operating conditions (taking into account all stages of the work cycle, e.g. the time when the tool is switched off and when it is idling, in addition to the start-up time).

USE

Fuel
Fuel is a perishable product that ages as a result of evaporation, especially at high temperatures. Old fuel can cause starting problems and/or damage the engine. Do not buy more fuel than you can use in 2 months. In high temperatures oil mixed fuel should be used within 6-8 weeks.
WARNING!

  • Risk of personal injury.
  • Fuel is highly flammable and can in some circumstances be explosive. It is prohibited to handle fuel in areas with naked flames, embers or sparks.
  • Switch off the engine and allow it to cool before refilling with fuel.
  • Follow all the safety instructions for handling fuel.
  • Always fill up with fuel before use.
  • Only refill with fuel in a well ventilated area.

NOTE:

  • The recommended mixing ratio is 40:1- 40 parts of petrol to 1 part of twostroke oil.
  • Mix petrol with 2-stroke oil of good quality, intended for air-cooled 2-stroke engines.

Fuel mix
Unless you have bought ready mixed fuel the fuel must be mixed in a separate container before filling the machine with fuel. Do as follows:

  1. Mix the full amount of oil in half the amount of petrol.
  2. Add the rest of the petrol.
  3. Shake the fuel mix well.

NOTE:

  • The mixing ratio is 40 parts of petrol to 1 part of two-stroke oil.
  • Do not add more oil than the recommended amount. This will block exhaust ports and the exhaust, increase fuel consumption, reduce performance, and result in more environmental pollution.

Refueling

  1. Shake the container with the fuel mix.
  2. Place the machine on a level, stable surface with the fuel tank cap up.
  3.  Clean the tank cap and the area around the opening to avoid impurities getting into the tank.
  4. Open the tank cap carefully to release any over pressure.
  5. Carefully fill up with fuel by using a funnel. Avoid spilling. Do not fill up to the top of the filler tube.
  6. Replace the fuel cap and firmly tighten.
  7. Wipe off any spilled fuel and allow the residue to evaporate before starting the engine.

NOTE:

  • Do not mix petrol and oil directly in the tank. Use a separate container to mix the fuel.
  • Never use oil intended for 4-stroke engines or for water-cooled 2-stroke engines. This oil can contaminate the spark plug and exhaust port, or cause the engine to seize.
  • Fuel mixed with oil that has stood for more than one month can contaminate the carburettor and prevent the engine from working properly. Store surplus fuel in a dark and cool place in an airtight container.
  • Never fill up with fuel when the engine is running or hot. Fire risk.

Starting the engine
Run the following checks before starting the engine:

  • Check that the fuel tank is at least half full.
  • Check that the fuel tank and fuel lines are not leaking.

Storage
Follow the instructions for cleaning and maintenance. Store the machine in a dry, well-ventilated area. Never store the machine indoors where there are sources of heat, e.g. a boiler, water heater, tumble drier or electric motors that could emit sparks. This is to avoid the risk of igniting fuel fumes.

Preparations for long-term storage
If the machine is not going to be used for a month or more, prepare it for long- term storage. Failure to follow the storage instructions can result in fuel in the carburettor evaporating and leaving deposits, which can make the engine difficult to start and lead to expensive repairs.

  1. Open the fuel cap slowly to relieve any over pressure in the fuel tank. Carefully empty the fuel tank.
  2. Run the engine until it stops due to a lack of fuel.
  3. Allow the engine to cool (it takes about 5 minutes).
