RDL008102,RDL008202 16 Inch Hole Saw Core Drill
REQUIRED TOOLS:
Wire Cutter / Stripper
1-7/16” Hole Saw (wood) or Core Drill (masonry)
Philips Head Screw Driver
INSTRUCTIONS:
-
To prevent electrical shock, disconnect transformer from electrical supply and make sure power supply is completely off before installation. Fixtures should always be installed by a licensed electrician.
-
Prepare 1-7/16” up to 1-1/2” hole, 4” deep in desired location.
-
Slide the fixture module out of the housing and disconnect the module lead wires at the Wago wire connector. Set the fixture module aside. If installing a ½” conduit adapter into the back of the housing, remove black plug and thread it in.
-
Pull the main supply cable through the prepared hole and strip insulation off the ends. Separate the 2-conductor fixture lead wire by pulling apart the ends to the desired length and strip about ½” of the insulation off (see figure).
-
Connect the main supply cable to the fixture lead wire using UL listed wire connectors suitable for the location.
For Wood Installation: -
Insert the housing into the hole and screw down using the provided #6 wood screws (a 1/16” pilot hole for the screws is recommended). Reconnect the module lead wires and slide the fixture module into the housing until it stops.
For Concrete or Tile Installation: -
Drill pilot holes for the provided anchors and use the #6 wood screws to screw down the housing. Reconnect the module lead wires and slide the fixture module into the housing until it stops.
For Landscape Installation: -
Place housing in prepared hole. Fill the hole around the housing until secured in place. Reconnect module lead wires and slide fixture module into housing until it stops.
TIP: Small gauge cable is vulnerable to damage in the landscape; Protect
by routing in close proximity to the luminaire or adjacent to concrete slab or
similar structure. Do not bury more than 6” deep. Do not over tighten.
WARNING: Luminaire must be installed in accordance with local codes and
the National Electrical Code (NEC). Failure to do so may result in serious
injury and or damage to the luminaire.
WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Install per NEC Code 680.22(B (6), if
listed low voltage luminaires are to be located near a pool, spa or fountain.
