Usage Instructions
Safety Precautions:
Installation and commissioning should only be done by a qualified electrician to ensure compliance with national safety regulations. Any modifications to the luminaire should be made by authorized personnel.
Overvoltage Protection:
The luminaire’s electronic components are safeguarded against overvoltage as per DIN EN 61547. For additional protection, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components available on the manufacturer’s website.
Replacing LED Unit:
To replace the LED unit, disconnect the luminaire from the main supply and unscrew the glass from the housing by turning it counterclockwise. Replace the LED unit with a compatible one, then screw the glass back in by turning it clockwise. Defective glass should be replaced promptly.
Installing Trim Ring:
Prior to mounting the luminaire onto a surface, insert the luminaire housing into the trim ring accessory. The glass can be removed from the housing by turning it counterclockwise.
Optional Trim Rings:
Metal trim rings in three enamel surfaces (white, palladium, glossy silver) are available as optional accessories. These must be ordered separately using the specified part numbers.

Luminaire with trim ring:
Before installing onto the mounting surface the luminaire housing must be inserted into the trim ring (accessory).
Installation
LEDs are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping. Pass the mains supply cable through the grommet into luminaire housing. Fix luminaire housing with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface. It is imperative to use the enclosed gaskets. Dismantle the mains supply cable approx. 60 mm. Make earth and electrical connection to the terminals. For digital control please use the connecting terminal DA, DA. In case this terminal is not used the luminaire will be operated at full light output. Place glass to the luminaire housing and observe that the cam pins fit into the notches of the glass. Screw in glass by turning it clockwise. Thus, you reach a safe and vibration-resistant holding of the glass. To release the glass from the luminaire housing turn it counter-clockwise.
Replacement of the LED unit
- The designation of the LED unit is noted on a label in the luminaire.
- The light color and light output of BEGA replacement units correspond to those of the
- LED units were originally fitted. The LED unit can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
- Disconnect from main supply.
- Unscrew the glass from the luminaire housing by turning it counterclockwise.
- Replace the LED unit.
- Screw in glass by turning it clockwise.
- The defective glass must be replaced.
