CAPACITIES

  • CAUTION: To reduce the risk of injury, do not overload the workbench.
  • Distribute heavy objects evenly across the drawer, wire shelf, pegboard, and wood top.
  • The maximum weight for each drawer should be no more than 100 lbs (45 kg).
  • The maximum weight for wire shelf should be no more than 300 lbs (136 kg).
  • The maximum weight for each pegboard should be no more than 10 lbs (4.5 kg).
  • The maximum static load rating of the workbench with leveling feet uses, including contents, should be no more than 2000 lb. (907 kg). The maximum weight for wood top should be no more than 1480 lbs (671 kg).
  • The maximum static load rating of the workbench with casters uses, including contents, should be no more than 1000 lbs (454 kg). The maximum weight for wood top should be no more than 480 lbs (218 kg).

General Safety

General Safety Rules for Workbenches

  • CAUTION: Read and follow all Safery Rules and Operating Instructions before assembly and first use of this product.
  • DANGER: DO NOT stand on this product. You may fall or cause the product to tip.
  • DO NOT open more than one drawer at a time. The product may become unstable and tip.
  • DO NOT step in the drawers. You may fall or cause product to tip.
  • DO NOT move the product prior to closing all the drawers.
  • The drawers could come open and make the product unstable and tip.
  • WARNING:
  • WEAR SAFETY GLASSES during assembly and disassembly.
  • DO NOT pull the unit, push it when moving. Pushing the unit will prevent serious ankle and foot injuries.
  • USE THE BRAKES when not moving this product. This will prevent the product from rolling.
  • DO NOT alter this product in any manner. For example, do not weld external lockbars or attach electrical equipment.
  • Keep the product on level surfaces. The product may become unstable and tip if stored or moved on an uneven surface.
  • BE CAREFUL when closing drawers. Remove hands before the drawer closes completely.
  • To reduce the risk of injury, during initial loading, distribute items across all drawers to reduce the risk of unit tipping over. Only open one drawer at a time, unit can tip over causing injury or death.
  • Completely assemble workbench before loading.
  • To reduce the risk of injury, distribute contents of loaded workbench evenly to reduce the risk of unit tipping over.
  • DO NOT drop heavy objects onto the wood top.
  • DO NOT tow the product with power equipment.
  • DO NOT allow unsupervised children to play on or with the workbench.
  • CAUTION: This product is not designed to be directly lifted with a forklift, or to be towed with any mechanical devices.
  • Distribute contents of loaded drawers evenly. DO NOT position all contents of a drawer in the front portion of the drawer.
  • This product should be empty when transporting by vehicle. Properly secure when transporting.
  • DO NOT exceed maximum product weight, including contents. See Capacities for more information.
  • As with all metal products, this product can contain burrs and sharp edges. Wear protective gloves during assembly and disassembly.
  • Use adequate manpower when assembling and moving this unit. Failure to do so may cause personal injury or product damage.

Extension Cord

  • Follow all extension cord manufacturer’s Warnings and Instructions.
  • Only use a three-wire extension cord with all three prongs intact. Never remove the round grounding prong.
  • The extension cord must be connected to a 125 Volt GFCI-protected outlet with proper ground. If a GFCI outlet is not available, use an extension cord with GFCI protection built in.
  • Check the insulation and plugs of the extension cord before using it. Do NOT use a cord if it is worn or damaged.
  • Do NOT overload the extension cord.
  • Remove the extension cord from the hole before moving or transporting the workbench.
  • Only use an extension cord that is rated for outdoor use.
  • Do NOT connect the extension cord to the outlet that also supplies critical safety equipment with power.
  • Do not expose the workbench to rain. Do not use it in damp conditions.

Power Strip

  • Follow all extension cord manufacturer’s warnings and instructions.
  • Verify all plugs are in receptacles flush to the surface. Do not use plugs that do not fit snugly in receptacles.
  • Only use a three-wire extension cord with all three prongs intact. Never remove the round grounding prong.
  • The power strip must be connected to a 125 Volt GFCI-protected outlet with proper ground. If a GFCI outlet is not available, use an extension cord with GFCI protection built in.
  • Check the insulation and plugs of the power strip before using.
  • DO NOT use the cord if it is worn or damaged.
  • DO NOT overload the power strip.
  • Remove the power strip from the hole before moving or transporting the workbench.
  • Only use an extension cord that is rated for outdoor use.
  • DO NOT connect the power strip to an outlet that also supplies critical safety equipment with power.

  • The connection of a space heater to the power strip could cause a fire.
  • Connection of a single appliance with electrical ratings of 10A/1200W or higher could cause a fire.

ASSEMBLY

  • WARNING: Wear safety glasses.
  • NOTE: Not all assembly instructions will relate to your model.

  • 5 mm hex wrench

  • 13 mm wrench
  • 18 mm wrench
  • 19 mm wrench
  • Crosshead screwdriver
  • 10 mm socket wrench

Hardware Included

Power Strip Installation

Items Needed (Fig. B)

  • M6 x 1 mm Flat Head Screws (Qty: 4)
  • 4 mm Hex Wrench

Process

  1. Place power strip 6 to the power strip panel 7 of the upper leg assembly 8. The power cord of the power strip is placed toward the right side of the leg assembly if you would like to locate the power strip on the left side of workbench. In contrast, manage the power cord of the power strip toward the left side of the leg assembly if you would like to locate the power strip on the right side of workbench.
  2. Insert M6 x 16 mm flat head screws 9 through the power strip panel to screw into the built-in nuts of power strip holders 10 using 4 mm Hex Wrench.
    • NOTICE: Recommended torque of M6 screws is 18 in-b (2 Nm).

Assemble Upper Leg Assemblies with Drawer Frame

Items Needed (Fig. C-H)

  • M12 × 120 mm Bolts (Qty: 4)
  • M8 x 16 mm Screws (Qty: 4)
  • M8 Nuts (Qty: 4)
  • NOTE: Use adequate personnel for this operation.

Process

  1. Fully extend the drawer 1. Push the right release slide lever 11 down, then push the left release slide lever up.
    • Pull out drawer to remove. Remove two drawers from the drawer frame.
  2. Place the drawer frame 12 upside down. Attach the two upper leg assemblies 8 to the drawer frame. Place the upper leg assembly with power strip on the right or left side of the frames as appropriate. Insert the power cord 28 through the grommets 13 in the side of the drawer frame.
  3. Insert M12 x 120 mm bolts 14 through upper legs 8 to drawer frame.
  4. Insert M8 x 16 mm screw 15 through upper legs and drawer frame to screw with M8 Nuts 16. Use 5 mm hex wrench and 13 wrench to tighten all M8 screws and nuts.
    NOTICE: Recommended torque of M8 screws is 62 in-lb (7 Nm).

Assemble Lower Leg, Cross Supports, Casters/Leveling Feet

Items Needed  (Fig. I-L)

  • M12 × 90 mm Bolts (Qty: 8)
  • M8 x 16 mm Screws (Qty: 4)
  • M12 Nuts (Qty: 8)
  • M8 Nuts (Qty: 4)
  • 5 mm Hex Wrench
  • 13 mm Wrench
  • 18 mm Wrench
  • 19 mm Wrench
  • NOTE: Use adequate personnel for this operation.

Process

  1. Attach four lower legs 17 to four upper legs 8 and insert M12 × 90 mm bolts 19 through screw holes of the upper leg to the desired screw holes of the lower legs.
  2. Attach the two cross supports 18 to the right and left side of the upper legs. Flanges of cross supports should point in. Insert M12 x 90 mm bolts 19 through the screw holes of the cross supports to screw with M12 nuts 20 Finger tighten.
  3. Attach the short cross support 21 to the front and rear cross support. Insert M8 x 16 mm screws 15 through the screw holes of the cross supports to screw with M8 nuts 16. Finger tighten.
  4. Use 19 mm and 18 mm wrenches to tighten all M12 bolts and nuts. Use a 5 mm hex wrench and 13 mm wrench to tighten all M8 screws and nuts.
    • NOTICE: Recommended torque of M12 bolts is 84 in-lb (9.5 Nm). Recommended torque of M8 screws is 62 in-lb (7 Nm).
  5. Attach four casters 5 or leveling feet 22 to the built-in nut 27 of the bottom plate of lower legs as appropriate.
    • NOTICE: Please make sure casters/ leveling feet are fully tightened to touch the bottom plate of the lower legs.

Assemble Wood Top, Pegboards, and Wire Shelf

Items Needed (Fig. M-R)

  • M6.3 x 19 mm Self Tapping Screws (Qty: 18)
  • M8 x 16 mm Screws with Spring and Washer (Qty: 8)
  • M12 Nuts (Qty: 4)
  • 18 mm wrenches
  • Crosshead screwdriver or 10 mm Socket Wrench
  • 5 mm Hex Wrench
  • NOTE: Use adequate personnel for this operation.

Process

  1. Place the workbench in its upright position.

  2. Manage the power cord through the rear grommets of the drawer frame and fix it around the cord holder 23.

  3. Use 19 mm and 18 mm wrench to tighten M12 bolts 14 with M12 nuts 20.

    • NOTICE: Recommended torque of M12 bolts is 84 in-lb (9.5 Nm).
  4. Place the wood surface 2 with the predrilled screw holes on the bottom onto the drawer frame. Position the predrilled screw holes of the wood to line up with the corresponding screw holes of the drawer frame.

    • Please be sure the front and rear distance between wood edges and drawer frame panels are symmetrical. Attach M6.3 x 19 mm self tapping screws 24 using crosshead screwdriver or 10 mm socket. Please remove the film layer of the wood top before use.
      NOTICE: Recommended torque of M6.3 screws is 62 in-lb (7 Nm).
  5. Attach side pegboard panel 3 to each upper leg assembly 8. Insert M8 x 16 mm screws with spring and washer 25 through the side panel to screw into the built-in nuts. Finger tighten.

  6. Use a 5 mm Hex Wrench to tighten all M8 screws.

    • NOTICE: Recommended torque of M8 screws is 62 in-lb (7 Nm).
  7. Place wire shelf 4 onto the cross supports 18.

Installing Drawers

(Fig. S-U)

  1. Pull slides and slide the carrier out to a fully extended position.
  2. Hold the slide on the unit while aligning it with the slide on the drawer.
  3. Slightly insert one side and repeat for the other side.
    • Slowly push the drawer to its fully closed position to engage the slide.
  4. Open the drawer and reclose to ensure proper operation.

Built-In Outlet with USB Ports (Fig. B)

  • A power strip with USB ports 6 is located in some units.
  • WARNING: This power strip is to be used with ground fault circuit interrupter.
  • WARNING: Connection of a space heater to the power strip could cause fire.
  • WARNING: Connection of a single appliance with electrical ratings of 10A/1200W or higher could cause fire.

Grounding

(Fig. V)

  1. Locate grounding image on the rear side of the workbench.
  2. Use predrilled hole 26.
  3. Use 14 AWG stranded green jacket copper wire with 1/4″ terminal ring.
  4. Use a M3.5 x 10 mm self tapping screw to hold the wire and terminal ring. Use supplied hole location with self-tapping screw. Tighten fully.
  5. Terminate the end of the ground wire to an appropriate grounding location.

MAINTENANCE

(FIG. W)

  • Lubricate casters annually with high-quality bearing grease. Apply grease where shown.
  • Check the caster bolts annually for tightness.
  • Lubricate the slides with grease or equivalent (twice annually). Apply grease where shown.
  • Periodically the drawer fronts, drawer trim, and other surfaces should be cleaned with a mild detergent and water.
  • Auto wax will preserve the unit’s luster finish. Apply the wax as to a car. The wax will also help protect the unit against scratches.
  • Grease and oil can be removed with most standard cleaning fluids. For safety, use a nonflammable cleaning fluid
  • It is recommended that drawer liners are used to protect the finish inside the drawers and to make the drawers easier to clean. The drawer liners may be cleaned with soap and water.
  • Corrosive materials should be cleaned up immediately to minimize damage to any surfaces.

TEN YEAR WARRANTY

  • FOR TEN YEARS from the date of purchase, this product is warranted against any defects in material or workmanship.
  • With proof of purchase, a defective part will be replaced free of charge. If a replacement part is unavailable, the product will be replaced with one of equal value.
