Safety instructions

Intended use

Recessed radio receiver HEU 2 BiSecur is a bidirectional receiver for controlling electrical consumers, e.g. double sockets or lamps. This recessed radio receiver, referred to as receiver in the following, features two relay outputs. Both relay outputs are controlled by the BiSecur radio.
Other applications are not permitted. The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper use or incorrect operation.

Safety instructions for operation

DANGER
Risk of deadly electric shock from mains voltage
Contact with the mains voltage presents the danger of a deadly electric shock.

  • Electrical connections may only be made by a qualified electrician.
  • Please note that the on-site electrical installation conforms to the applicable safety requirements (100 – 240 V AC, 50 / 60 Hz).
  • If the device is permanently connected to the mains you must install an all-pole mains isolator switch with corresponding pre-fuse (10 A).
  • Before all electrical work, switch the receiver off at the mains. Secure the receiver against being switched on again without authorisation.

ATTENTION
Destruction of the device due to overloading Overloading the device can result in the destruction of the device, an outbreak of fire, or an electrical accident.

  • Only load the device up to the stated performance limit (see section 12).

NOTE

  • Only use the receiver in dry rooms.
  • Observe the specifications and manufacturer information for the device to be controlled.
  • Only use original components when putting the radio system into service or extending it.
  • Perform a function check:
    • After programming or
    • after extending the radio system.
    • Local conditions may affect the range of the radio system.

Installation

  • The choice of location affects the range.
  • Prior to using, verify that the radio signal can reach the receiver at the chosen location.
  • Determine the best orientation by trial and error.

Teaching in a radio code

Danger through unintended activation of equipment The remote-controlled operation of equipment can result in unintended activation, for example, machines can be actuated.

  • Ensure that the remote-controlled operation of equipment does not result in danger to persons or objects or that these risks are covered by safety equipment.
  • Observe the manufacturer information for the devices to be operated.
  • Make sure that machines cannot be activated unintentionally.
  1. The receiver can learn max. 100 radio codes.
  2. The radio codes can be distributed across the existing channels.
  3. If more than 100 radio codes are taught-in, the codes taught-in first are deleted.
  4. The same radio code can be taught in 2 × but only 1 × per relay.
  5. Example: In order to activate a double socket, the same radio code is taught-in on channel 1 (relay 1) and on channel 4 (relay 2).
  6. If the same radio code is taught-in on two different channels of one relay, the radio code will be deleted on the channel taught-in first.
  7. If the same radio code is taught-in a third time, the first two taught-in radio codes will be deleted.

Teaching in a radio code
See Figure 3 .

  1. Press the P button to activate the desired channel.
    Press the P button| Activate channel| Relay| Function
    ---|---|---|---
    1 ×| Channel 1| Relay 1 for the 1st consumer| On / off (impulse sequence control: on, off, on…)
    2 ×| Channel 2| On
    3 ×| Channel 3| Off
    Press the P button| Activate channel| Relay| Function
    ---|---|---|---
    4 ×| Channel 4| Relay 2 for the 2nd consumer| On / off (impulse sequence control: on, off, on…)
    5 ×| Channel 5| On
    6 ×| Channel 6| Off
  2. Switch the hand transmitter whose radio code is to be inherited to Inheriting /Transmitting mode.
If a valid radio code is detected, the LED flashes quickly in blue and then goes out.
The receiver remains in the learn mode.

To abort the learn mode:
Wait for the timeout.

Timeout:
If the receiver does not detect a valid radio code within 25 seconds, it automatically switches to operation mode.

Final work
See Figure 4 .

Operation

After connecting the operating voltage, the recessed radio receiver is ready for operation.

on, off, on…)
2| On
3| Off
4| Relay 2 for the 2nd consumer| On / off (impulse sequence control: on, off, on…)
5| On
6| Off

Operation via radio
Channels 1 – 6 are actuated by radio. In the operation mode, the receiver signals the recognition of a valid radio code by illuminating the blue LED.

  • 1 × briefly Channel 1
  • 2 × briefly Channel 2
  • 3 × briefly Channel 3
  • 4 × briefly Channel 4
  • 5 × briefly Channel 5
  • 6 × briefly Channel 6

NOTE
If the radio code for the taught-in hand transmitter button was copied from another hand transmitter:
Press the hand transmitter button a second time during initial start-up.

Behaviour of the receiver during a power failure
If there is a power failure at the receiver, the relays are de-energised. Connected consumers are not active.

Behaviour of the receiver after the power returns
Once the power returns, the relays remain de-energised until the next radio signal. Connected users remain inactive.

Switch function feedback

If a command for automatic feedback* is triggered by an HS 5 BiSecur hand transmitter or the BiSecur app, the receiver immediately reports the current status of the relay.

Hand transmitter HS 5 BiSecur

If a radio code is taught in on two different channels, the status of the relay is primarily evaluated with the on/off switch function for the HS 5 BiSecur hand transmitter.
See the operating instructions for the HS 5 BiSecur hand transmitter, automatic feedback of the door position.

Possible feedback:

  1. If the on/off switch function has been set on one relay output.
  2. The switching relay is energised. = LED: green
  3. The switching relay is de-energised. = LED: red
  4. If the on/off switch function has been set on two relay outputs.
  5. All of the switching relays are energised. = LED: green
  6. At least one switching relay is de-energised. = LED: red
Example : A radio code has been taught in simultaneously on channel 1 and channel 4. Relay 1 (channel 1)| Relay 2 (channel 4)| LED illuminated
    ---|---|---
    Switched on| Switched off| Red

BiSecur app
For feedback from the BiSecur app, please see the operating instructions for BiSecur Home (www.bisecur-home.com).

No feedback
There is a communication error if the HS 5 BiSecur hand transmitter or BiSecur app does not receive any feedback from the HEU 2 BiSecur receiver within a maximum of 5 seconds after the command.

  • The LED on the hand transmitter quickly flashes 4 × in orange.
  • The BiSecur app displays an appropriate message. See the operating instructions for BiSecur Home (www.bisecur-home.com).

Reset

The following steps delete all the radio codes.

  1. Press and hold the P button.
  2. The LED slowly flashes in blue for 5 seconds.
  3. The LED flashes rapidly in blue for 2 seconds.
  4. Release the P button.
All radio codes have been deleted.

NOTE
If the P button is released prematurely, the device reset will be aborted without deleting the radio codes

Disposal
Dispose of the packaging sorted by materials
Electrical and electronic devices must be returned to the appropriate recycling facilities.
