Safety instructions
2 .1 Intended use
The HET-E2 MCX BiSecur receiver is a bidirectional receiver for the actuation
of operators and controls. It has two channels and is operated via the BiSecur
radio. The receiver has two volt-free relay outputs and a 3-pin input for
volt-free CLOSED barrier and OPEN barrier limit switch reporting.
Other types of application are prohibited. The manufacturer is not liable for
damage caused by improper use or incorrect operation.
2 .2 Safety instructions for operating the receiver
CAUTION
Danger of injury from unintentional opening / closing
▶ See warning in section 8
ATTENTION
Functional impairment caused by environmental conditions Non-compliance with
these instructions can impair function!
Protect the receiver from the following conditions:
- Direct sunlight (permissible ambient temperature: -20 °C to +60 °C)
- Moisture
- Dust
NOTES:
- After programming or extending the radio system, check the functions.
- Only use original components when starting up or extending the radio system.
- Local conditions may affect the range of the radio system.
- When used at the same time, GSM 900 mobile phones can affect the range.

Fitting
NOTE :
By selecting an appropriate fitting location, the range can be optimised. The
best orientation to achieve an optimum range must be established by trial and
error.
Connection
Terminal E2 | Normally open contact | Connection of OPEN barrier travel limit |
---|---|---|
Terminal GND | Shared contact | 0 V reference potential |
Terminal E1 | Normally open contact | Connection of CLOSED barrier travel limit |
NOTE:
The maximum approved cable length is 30 m. The input terminal cable cross-
section may be 0.08 – 1.0 mm²; all other terminals 0.12 – 1.5 mm².
The starting sequence begins when the receiver is supplied with 24 V DC
voltage.
The blue LED remains lit, depending on the number of already taught-in radio
codes, until the communication link is established.
No functions are permitted during this time. The receiver is ready for
operation as soon as the blue LED goes out.
NOTE:
After a power failure, the receiver operates in the same way when the power
returns.
Functions
The HET-E2 MCX BiSecur receiver has two volt-free relay outputs and a 3-pin
input for two volt-free normally open contacts. The relay outputs permit the
choosing directions Close and Open. The CLOSED barrier and OPEN barrier limit
switch reporting is connected at the input.
Relay output 1 = press and hold (impulse 0.5 s)
Relay output 2 = press and hold (impulse 0.5 s)
7 .1 0 .5-second impulse function
When a transmission impulse is received, the relay is activated for 0.5
seconds and is then deactivated.
7 .2 Function of the P button
The P button is used to select the radio channel / relay on which a radio code
is to be taught in.
Teaching in a radio code
**CAUTION
Danger of injury from unintentional opening / closing
Unintended movements may occur while teaching in the radio system.
▶ Make sure that no persons or objects are in the perimeter protection
system’s area of travel when teaching in the radio system.
A maximum of 100 radio codes can be taught in on the receiver. They can be
distributed over the existing channels as desired. If the same radio code is
taught in on two different channels, it will be deleted on the channel that
was taught in first. If more than 100 radio codes are taught in, the first
ones to be taught in will be deleted.
In teach-in mode, the channels of the receiver can be switched by pushing the
P button, so long as no radio code has been detected.
To activate / switch a channel:
▶ Press the P button once to activate channel 1.
▶ Press the P button 2 times to activate channel 2. To abort teach-in mode:
▶ Press the P button 3 times or wait for the timeout.
Timeout
If no valid radio code is detected within 25 seconds, the receiver
automatically returns to the operation mode.
8 .1 Teaching in a radio code**
-
Press the P button to activate the desired channel.
– The blue LED flashes once for channel 1
– The blue LED flashes twice for channel 2 -
Switch the hand transmitter whose radio code is to be inherited to Inheriting /
Transmitting mode.
If a valid radio code is detected, the LED flashes quickly in blue and then goes out. The receiver is in operation mode .
Operation
In operation mode, the receiver signals the detection of a valid radio code by
illuminating the blue LED.
NOTE:
If the radio code for the taught-in hand transmitter button was copied from
another hand transmitter, the hand transmitter button must be pressed a second
time during initial start-up.
A valid radio code channel 1 is discovered = The LED is illuminated briefly 1
time
A valid radio code channel 2 is discovered = The LED is illuminated briefly
twice
Feedback on the position of the perimeter protection
system
The HS 5 BiSecur hand transmitter only receives feedback if CLOSED barrier and
OPEN barrier limit switch reporting is connected to the 3-pin input
(E1/GND/E2).
| HS 5 BiSecur| LED
---|---|---
CLOSED barrier| Position: Closed| Green
OPEN barrier| Position: Open| Red
Barrier in motion| Position: Not open| Red
Position unknown / fault| Position: Not closed| Red
No feedback| Communication fault / out of range| Orange
10 .1 No feedback
After the command for manual position query
There is a communication fault or the receiver is out of range if the HET-E2
MCX BiSecur receiver does not receive feedback from the control within 5
seconds after the command. The HS 5 BiSecur hand transmitter does not
subsequently receive any feedback from the receiver and the LED on the hand
transmitter flashes orange rapidly 4 times.
After the command for automatic feedback on the position
The function for automatic feedback on the position is not supported by this
receiver.
Reset
All radio codes are deleted by the following steps:
-
Press and hold the P button.
– The LED slowly flashes in blue for 5 seconds.
– The LED flashes rapidly in blue for 2 seconds. -
Release the P button.
All radio codes have been deleted .
NOTE:
If the P button is released prematurely, the device reset will be aborted and
the radio codes are not deleted.
