Installation and Safety

The installation and operation of this luminaire must comply with national safety regulations. Only a qualified electrician should carry out installation and commissioning. Any modifications to the luminaire should be done by a responsible person.
Please Note: The luminaire must only be used with an operating device compliant with EN 61347-2-13. The maximum idling and operating voltage of 48 V DC must be SELV or SELV-equivalent. The maximum current must not exceed 2 A.

Handling LED components

LED components are high-quality electronic parts. Avoid direct contact with the light output opening during installation or relamping. Use a separate power supply unit to operate the luminaire.

Maintenance

Clean the luminaire regularly using solvent-free cleaners to remove dirt and deposits.

Q: What is the maximum operating voltage for this luminaire?

Light technique

The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations.
Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation.
If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Please note:

LEDs are high-quality electronic components!
Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
A separate power supply unit is required to operate the luminaire (see Accessories).
Remove the mounting plate from the luminaire housing.
Loosen the hexagon socket screws (wrench size 3) slightly and turn the round blank with the LED module to the side.
Make sure to avoid any direct contact with the PCB. To do so, only touch the round blank at its outer edge.
Pass the connecting cable through the cable entry in the mounting plate.
Fasten the mounting plate with the supplied fastening material or other suitable fastening material to the installation surface.
Be sure to use the gasket rings supplied.
Push silicone sleeves over the lines and make the electrical connection.
Please ensure the correct wire assignment for the connecting cable of the external 48 V power supply unit.
The wire from the minus pole must be connected to the free terminal of the luminaire marked with LED -, and the wire from the plus pole to the terminal marked with LED +.
Guide the round blank with LED module onto the mounting plate in a central position and fasten it in place with the two hexagon socket screws.
Guide the luminaire housing onto the mounting plate so that the two openings in the housing are aligned with the two spring elements of the mounting plate.
Press on the luminaire housing and make sure that the two springs engage in the openings.

Clean the luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt and deposits.
Do not use high-pressure cleaners.
For lacquered surfaces, we recommend the use of BEGA Lacquer Care Set 71 179.

Replacing the LED module

The designation of the LED module is noted on a separate label in the luminaire or on the underside of the specific LED module.
The light color and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.
The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
Disconnect the system.
LEDs are high-quality electronic components!
Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during relamping.
Uninstall the luminaire housing.
To do this, insert a small screwdriver into the openings at the side of the luminaire housing.
Press the springs inwards and lift out the luminaire housing.
Loosen the hexagon socket screws (wrench size 3) slightly and turn the round blank with the LED module to the side.
Make sure to avoid any direct contact with the PCB.
To do so, only touch the round blank at its outer edge.
Replace the LED module.
Please follow the installation instructions of the LED module.
Guide the round blank with LED module onto the mounting plate in a central position and fasten it in place with the two hexagon socket screws.
Guide the luminaire housing onto the mounting plate so that the two openings in the housing are aligned with the two spring elements of the mounting plate.
Press on the luminaire housing and make sure that the two springs engage in the openings.
