Product Usage Instructions
Description
Installing the Hard Drive:
- Open the top cover from the position indicated by the finger.
- Insert the silicone plug into the SSD notch.
- Insert SSD into M.2 interface of the PCBA board at an angl e of 25°, rotate slicone plug to fix SSD
- Tear off the film on the silicone heat dissipation pad andpaste it on the SSD, then tear off the film on the aluminum pad and paste it on the top of silicone pad.
- Close the top cover
Connect it to PC:
- Connect the enclosure to the computer with the Type-C data cable.
Note: If you install a hard drive that already has data on it, it will appear under “Computer” as a newly added hard drive and can read and write normally.
If you install a brand-new Hard Drive, you need to initialize, partition, and format the Hard Drive before use.
New Hard Disk Format:
- View computer- Manage – Disk Management to find the new disk.
- Right-click on Disk 1, then click New Simple Volume.
New hard disk format:
Right click the“Disk 1”, then click“New Simple Volume”.
Note: There are two formats when initialization, please choose MBR if your drives are smaller than 2TB, and choose GPT if your drives are larger than 2TB.
Hard Disk Partition:
- Choose the size of the partition according to the instructions, then click Next to finish.
- You can find the new hard disk in the Computer, it’s ready to be used.
- According to the instructions, choose the size of the partition, then click“Next” to finish.
- Then you can find the new hard disk in the“Computer, it s ready to be used.
