Quick Installation Guide
Installation:
1.1 Press the SSD compartment lock and slide the compartment out of the
enclosure.
1.2 Push a silicon plug into the hole that corresponds to SSD form
factor.
1.3. Hold the SSD at approximately 45°, and gently insert it into the M.2
socket.
(Important! Hold the SSD at an angle as illustrated when inserting it into
the socket. lnserting the SSD flat can damage the connector’s and socket’s
pins.)
1.4. Press the SSD down so it lies flat inthe compartment.Turn the silicon
plug so the lip holds the SSD in place.
1.5. Attaching the Thermal Pad: (Optional)
1.5.1. Remove the protective strip from the silicion pad to expose the
tacky surface,and press the pad onto the top of the SSD.
1.5.2. Remove the protective strip from the top of the silicon pad. Then
remove the protective strip from the metal cover, and press the cover onto the
pad.
1.6. Slide the SSD compartment back into the enclosure until the lock clicks shut.
1.5. Connect Type-C cable with housing and PC
Remark: For partitioned SSD, it will be recognized as “New Volume” after connect with USB cable, it can be read and write directly; for new SSD, you must do initialization and partition before recoginze after connect with PC.
New hard disk format
2.1. View “computer – Manage – disk management” to find the new disk .
2.2. Right click the “Disk 1”, then click “New Simple Volume”.
Hard disk partition
3.1. According to the instruction, choose the size of partition, then click “Next” to finish.
3.2. Then you can find the new hard disk in the “Computer”, it’s ready to be use.
