Getting started

Install batteries
Open the battery compartment cover and insert the rechargeable batteries according to the correct polarity symbols. Close the cover.

Rechargeable battery charging

  • Connect the USB cable to the device and the DC adapter via a USB plug and connect it to the AC power supply to charge the device; or
  • Insert it into the battery charger according to the correct polarity symbols. Connect the battery charger to the AC power supply, using the power cable and power adapter. Prior to using the rechargeable battery for the first time, charge it for at least 4 hours.

Button panel and device settings

Power button
Button functions : 1) turns the device on/off; 2) сonfirms the selection; 3) starts and stops video recording in the Video mode; 4) starts or stops the video playback in the Playback mode.
Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn the device on or off.

As the device has no exit pupil distance (eye relief), keep your eyes at a distance of 3in (8cm) from the screen.

Recording a video
Press the power button to start recording a video, and then press again to stop the video recording. Select the Video segment time (Video duration) option in the menu, then you can set the video length, select the audio recording option (on or off), select the date stamp option (on or off).

Color mode
The default color mode is the color mode. If you use the device at night, take off the objective lens cover with the IR filter and switch on the IR torch, the deafualt night color mode is black-and-white; you can switch the night color mode to black-and-brown (sepia) or black-and-green color mode in the menu.

IR illumination (infrared radiation) can be detected by photo and video cameras as well as other similar electronic devices during operation.

Right button
Button functions: 1) enters and exits the menu; 2) scrolls the menu down; 3) adjusts the zoom; 4) plays the video forward in the playback mode. Select the Playback option in the menu; press and hold the Right button to enter the menu.

Playback
Select the Playback option in the menu. Press and hold the Right button to view the files. Select a file to playback. Press and hold the Left button to enter the playback submenu, you can delete and protect the files or switch on the slideshow.

Left button
Button functions: 1) enters the Ballistic Data Computer / Crosshair adjustment mode; 2) scrolls the menu up; 3) rewinds the video in the playback mode.

Target ranging
Use this function to estimate the distance to a target.

  1. Select the Ranging option in the menu, switch the ranging option on.
  2. Press the Left button to enter the Ballistic Data Computer / Crosshair adjustment mode.
  3. Select the target height reference value in upper left corner.
  4. Select the distance to the target: 100 yards (91m), 200 yards (182m), 300 yards (274m), 400 yards (365m), or 500 yards (457m).

The distance is measured from the bottom to the top distance reference marks.

ranging

Note that the reference value is expressed in meters (1.7 meters target in height as shown in the figure), while the distance to the target is expressed in yards.

Reticle adjustment. Calibration

  1. Select the Cross adjustment (Reticle adjustment) option.
  2. Icon is selected by default. Press the Left and Right buttons to adjust the reticle coordinate values (x, y).
  3. Align the crosshair center with the center of the target.
  4. Press and hold the Left button to complete and to save the settings or
  5. select icon to reset the reticle coordinates to the initial values (X:0.0, Y:0.0), adjust the recitle coordinates, and then press and hold the Left button to complete and to save the settings.
  6. Select icon to confirm the changes of the reticle settings and to exit the reticle adgustment mode.

Zeroing

  1. Aim at the target and adjust X and Y so that the center of the reticle (aiming point) aligns with the center of the target.
  2. Shoot and adjust the position of the reticle again according to the actual point of impact until you hit the expected hit point.
  3. Press and hold the Left button to comlete and to save the settings.

Reticle type adjustment
To change the reticle shape and color, select the Reticle type option in the menu, then you can select 1 of 5 types of reticles and 1 of 5 colors of reticles (white, black, red, green or blue).

  • Select icon to select the reticle shape, press the Left and Right battons to choose, then press the power button to confirm.
  • Select icon to select the reticle color, press the Left and Right battons to choose, then press the power button to confirm.
  • Select icon to confirm the changes of the reticle settings and to exit the reticle adgustment mode.

Copying files

You can transfer files from the device to your smartphone, tablet, or PC directly (connect the device to your computer with a USB cable).

Care and maintenance

Do not expose the device to direct sunlight — that could cause a fire!
Do not scratch or touch the optical surfaces with your fingers.
Remove the batteries before cleaning the device! Use only dry, lint-free cloths to wipe the outer parts of the device. Do not use cleaning fluid to avoid the electronics damage. To avoid scratching the lenses, only use a soft cloth and do not press too hard. Keep the device away from dust and water. Keep the device in a bag or a box. Remove the batteries from the device if it has not been used for a long time.

Battery safety instructions

Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use. Always replace the whole set of batteries at one time; taking care not to mix old and new ones, or batteries of different types. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation. Make sure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and –). Remove batteries from equipment that is not to be used for an extended period of time. Remove used batteries promptly. Never short-circuit batteries as this may lead to high temperatures, leakage, or explosion. Never heat batteries in order to revive them. Do not disassemble batteries. Remember to switch off devices after use. Keep batteries out of the reach of children, to avoid risk of ingestion, suffocation, or poisoning. Utilize used batteries as prescribed by your country’s laws.
