Getting started

  • Shift the on/off-switch (7) to the ON-position to turn the transmitter on.
  • Shift the on/off-switch (7) to the OFF-position to turn the transmitter off.
  • Press and hold the power button (14) for 3 seconds to turn the receiver on/off.
  • Turn the sensitivity adjustment knob (6) on the transmitter and the sensitivity adjustment knob (15) on the receiver clockwise to adjust the sensitivity levels from 1 to 8.

Charging the device
The transmitter and the receiver use rechargeable lithium batteries. Connect the USB cable to the device and the DC adapter via a USB plug and connect it to the AC power supply to charge the device.
When the battery is low, the low battery indicator will blink; immediately charge the device.

Electrical cable tracing

  1. Clamp the red alligator clip to the phase wire or the positive terminal of the testing cable; and clamp the black alligator clip to the grounding wire or to the grounding terminal of the testing cable. To trace a multicore cable, clamp the red alligator clip to any color core of the cable and then clamp the black alligator clip to the cable shielding or clamp it to ground.
  2. Press button (5) to switch the transmitter to the scanning mode.
  3. Turn the sensitivity adjustment knobs (6 and 15) to the maximum sensitivity.
  4. Place the receiver near the cable bundle (or near the surface where the cable is hidden) and move the receiver along the cable to trace it. When the sensor is in close proximity to the target cable, the receiver will emit a beeping sound. To detect the cable more accurately, lower the sensitivity. The closer the device is to the object, the louder the signal will be.

The maximum voltage of the circuit to be tested with the use of the alligator clips shall not exceed 220V AC.

Telephone cable tracing

  1. Connect a telephone cable or a network cable to the transmitter using the telephone adapter cable (8).
  2. Press button (5) to switch the transmitter to the scanning mode.
  3. Turn the sensitivity adjustment knob (6 and 15) to the maximum sensitivity.

Power cable tracing

  1. Connect a power cable to the power cable socket (4) of the transmitter.
  2. Press button (5) to switch the transmitter to the scanning mode.
  3. Turn the sensitivity adjustment knob (6 and 15) to the maximum sensitivity.

! The maximum voltage of the circuit to be tested by means of connection to the power cable socket of the transmitter shall not exceed 400V.
! Observe the safety precautions to avoid the risk of electric shock.
