**Getting started

**

  • Unscrew the battery compartment cover screws and remove the cover.
  • Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring to observe the correct polarity.
  • Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screws.
  • Press the Power button (7) to turn the device on or off.

Usage

Attention! If the device gets moved, it is necessary to wait for the readings to stabilize.

  • Remove the protective cap (1).
    After turning the power on, the LCD screen will display the ambient temperature, relative humidity, dew point temperature or wet bulb temperature. The screen shows the corresponding icons for the selected measurement mode or function.

  • Press the °C/°F button (3) to switch between °C and °F.

  • Press the DP/WB button (4) to switch between displaying dew point temperature (DP icon on screen) and wet bulb temperature (WB icon on screen).

  • Press the MAX/MIN button (5) to enter extreme temperature and humidity values mode. The MAX icon (3) will light up on the screen and it will show the maximum temperature and humidity values for the current measurement session. Press the MAX/MIN button (5) again to display the minimum temperature and humidity values (MIN icon on the screen). To exit to normal mode, press the MAX/MIN button (5) and hold it for 2 seconds.

  • Press the H/ levenhuk Ermenrich Wett TU20 Thermohygrometer - Symbolbutton (6) to activate data hold mode (Н icon on the screen). The device will display the last recorded values. Press again to return to measurements.

  • The device turns off automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity. The function is enabled by default (the icon on the screen). To cancel, hold down the H/ levenhuk Ermenrich Wett TU20 Thermohygrometer - Symbolbutton (6) while turning on the power. To restore the function, turn the device off and on again.

  • Press and hold the H/ levenhuk Ermenrich Wett TU20 Thermohygrometer - Symbolbutton (6) for more than 2 seconds to turn the backlight on or off.

Care and maintenance

Do not use the device if it is damaged or does not operate properly. Replace the battery as soon as the low battery indicator lights up. Do not use solvent to clean the device. Protect the device from sudden impact and excessive mechanical force. Never attempt to operate a damaged device or a device with damaged electrical parts! Only use accessories and spare parts for this device that comply with the technical specifications. If a part of the device or battery is swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Keep away from children.

Battery safety instructions

Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use. Always replace the whole set of batteries at one time; taking care not to mix old and new ones, or batteries of different types. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation. Make sure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and –). Remove batteries from equipment that is not to be used for an extended period of time. Remove used batteries promptly. Never short-circuit batteries as this may lead to high temperatures, leakage, or explosion. Never heat batteries in order to revive them. Do not disassemble batteries. Remember to switch off device after use. Keep batteries out of the reach of children, to avoid risk of ingestion, suffocation, or poisoning. Utilize used batteries as prescribed by your country’s laws.

Ermenrich Warranty

Ermenrich products, except for their accessories, carry a 5-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. All Ermenrich accessories are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for six months from the purchase date. The warranty entitles you to the free repair or replacement of the Ermenrich product in any country where a Levenhuk office is located if all the warranty conditions are met.
