Thermal Cut-out Device
The climate controller is fitted with a thermal safety cut-out device, built
in to prevent it from overheating. Should the climate controller start to
overheat, the thermal safety cut-out system will automatically operate and the
heat settings will switch off. If this happens:
S TEP 1: Switch off the climate controller by pressing the power switch on
the bottom of the back panel.
STEP 2: Unplug the climate controller from the mains power supply and
allow it to cool for approx. 15 minutes.
STEP 3: Clear any blockages present in the vent, being careful not to
cause damage.
STEP 4: Plug in and switch on the climate controller at the mains power
supply.
Caution: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertently tripping the
thermal cut-out, this climate controller must not be supplied through an
external switching device, such as a timer. Nor should it be connected to a
circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
Care and Maintenance
Always unplug the climate controller from the mains power supply and allow to
cool sufficiently before performing any cleaning or maintenance.
Wipe the climate controller with a soft, damp cloth and allow to dry
thoroughly.
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning solvents, as these may damage the finish
of the climate controller.
Do not immerse the climate controller in water or any other liquid.
To remove the fibre-paper filter for cleaning or replacement, the front grill should be carefully removed. To do this, remove the grill screw from the top of the grill using a cross-head screwdriver. The control dial should then be turned to the cooling function so that the filter is accessible. By carefully pulling the white tab on top of the filter, the filter can be removed. Rinse under cold clean water, and replace the filter back into the main unit. To properly fit the filter, place it back inside when the control dial is on ‘fan’ mode to avoid it falling back into the filter frame. Carefully replace the front grill, making sure not to damage the grill fins, and replace the grill screw.

Instructions for Use
Before First Use
Position the climate controller on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface in
an open space. Make sure the climate controller is at least 1 metre away from
furniture, curtains or any other flammable materials. Do not block the air
intake on the back of the climate controller.
Note: When using the climate controller for the first time, a slight odour may be emitted. This is normal and will soon subside. Allow for sufficient ventilation around the climate controller.
Using the Climate Cube
STEP 1: Plug in and switch on the climate controller at the mains power
supply.
STEP 2: Flick the power switch on the bottom of the back panel to the
‘on’ position.
STEP 3: Press the power button on the control panel. This will turn on
the climate controller.
Using the Cooling, Heating or Fan Function The climate controller has three functions:
Cooling|
---|---
Heating|
Fan|
STEP 1: Turn the control dial and select the desired function. The
climate controller will begin to operate. To increase the output, press the
speed selector button; ‘I’ represents
the lower output and ‘II’ represents the higher output.
STEP 2: To switch off the climate controller, hold down the power button.
Note: For the cooling and fan functions, the climate controller will enter evaporation mode immediately after being switched off. During the evaporation period, the climate controller continues to blow air until the evaporation pad has dried out. This is to reduce the chance of build-up on the evaporation pad.
To use the cooling function, switch off and unplug the climate controller from the mains power supply. Using a suitable vessel, cold, clean water should be poured into the tank behind the control dial on top of the unit. Make sure not to spill water onto the control dial whilst pouring. For the heating function, the climate controller will enter cool down mode immediately after being switched off. During the cool down period, the heating element is turned off but the climate controller continues to blow air. The climate controller automatically turns off after 30 seconds.
Storage
Check that the climate controller is completely cool before storing in a cool,
dry place. Never wrap the cord tightly around the climate controller; wrap it
loosely to avoid
causing damage.
