Low battery: If the batteries are empty, you must charge them with the solar panel for at least 4-8 hours in direct sunlight.
Low Water level: If there is not enough water in the reservoir, the irrigation will switch off, in this case fill up the water level in the reservoir to ensure irrigation.
Cycle Function: To ensure that watering is as water-saving and gentle on plants as possible, the irrigation system has been optimised for night-time water delivery.
After setting the pump runtime once, the pump works automatically in the predefined cycle.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The irrigation unit should be cleaned at regular intervals with a soft cloth. It is recommended to clean the solar panel regularly to ensure optimal conversion of solar energy into direct current.
Please note:
The battery pack has to be exchanged at the latest every 12-18 months! The Solar modu-le should only be cleaned with soft tissue and proprietary glass cleaning solution.

RECOGNISING AND REPAIRING OF MISTAKES

Problem Possible cause Solution

Pump does not start

|

No electricity

| 1.    Check electr. connections

2.    Check batteries

3.    Align solar panel so that it receives direct sunlight

Pumpe defekt / Solar- Panel defekt

| Replace pump or solar panel.

For fault location: Check the solar panel to see if the specified voltage is being supplied. Check

whether the specified voltage is provided. Operate the pump with an external battery.

Low battery| Fully recharge the battery (4-8 hours)

Pump runs but no water is encouraged

| Pump impeller or filter housing

dirty

| Dismantle and clean the pump and the housing

(using water and a soft brush).

Pump has sucked in air

(Attention! Avoid dry running)

| Switch off the pump briefly and switch it on again. (Restart)
Hoses or hose connections have a leak| Check hoses or hose connections
Pump has a leak| Check if there is water in the pump housing
Intake openings dirty| Clean intake openings

SECURITY TIPS

  1. Obey absolutely valid regulations on the electrical security
  2. Never run pump dry. Test wells for enough flowing water (dry run danger)
  3. Pumping inflammable, as well as all other aggressive liquids is prohibited
  4. Observe water temperature of max. 35°C
  5. The mains plug must be disconnected before carrying out any work on the irrigation system
  6. During longer unused times, clean the pump, wash it out with clear water, dry and store it at room temperature
  7. All solar panels are very sensitive, protect it before all against extremal mechanical influences (shock, vibration, etc.)

The manufacturer explains:

  • To take over no responsibility in the case of accidents or damages on the basis of carelessness or disregard to the instruction in this book.
  • To reject every responsibility for the damages which original from the improper use

BATTERY INFORMATION
After 12 to 18 months, you should replace the battery. For this purpose open the battery cover and replace the battery with a new. Please find the item number of the replacement battery in section 12. Technical data and order at https://www.profi-pumpe.de. Please note the limited implied warranty of 6 months.
Important! It must be ensured that the battery cover is properly tightened and watertight.

  • With repeated charge and discharge cycles Lead-Acid and NiMh battery packs are less efficient (memory effect). This effect is much less pronounced, but still present in small mass in the Li-ion batteries used.
  • Through very short and frequent loading operations and many other operational influences batteries can age prematurely strong. The batteries are therefore subject to a consumable and wearing part of a shortened warranty of 6 months.
  • If you find that the battery will be less efficient, the battery needs to be fully charged. These allow the unit for 2 to 3 days (pump should not be connected) standing in the sun in order to allow a maximum charge the battery or use a suitable external charger. We recommend to occasionally repeat this procedure to extend the battery life.
  • If after this recharging the battery still does not meet expectations, you should replace the batteries.
NOTE: The battery is supplied charged. If the state of charge, contrary to expectations, not be sufficient to charge the batteries for at least 8 hours to allow sufficient charging of the battery (so damage the battery to avoid overcharging, the pump must be connected).

WARNINGS ON BATTERY
Lithium Ion cells and battery may get hot, explode or ignite and cause serious injury if they are exposed to abusive conditions, Be sure to follow the safety warnings listed below:

  • Do not install the battery backwards, so the polarity is reversed
  • Do not connect the positive or/and negative terminal or/and the battery to each other with any meta object, such as wire
  • Do not disassemble or modify the battery. The battery contains safety and protection devices which may cause the battery to generate heat, explode or ignite if damaged
  • Do not place the battery in or near fire, on stoves or other high temperature locations. Do not place the battery in direct sunlight or use/store the battery inside cars during hot weather. Doing so may cause the battery to generate heat, explode or ignite
  • It is not advised for children to handle the battery
  • When the battery is worn out, wrap the terminals with adhesive tape or similar materials before disposal
  • Immediately discontinue use of the battery, if there is an unusual smell, a change of color or shape, or if it appears abnormal in any other way
  • Do not place the battery in microwave ovens, high pressure containers or on cookware facilities
  • In the event of the battery is leaking and fluid gets into your eye, do not rub the eye, rinse well with water and immediately seek medical advice. If left untreated, the battery fluid could cause serious injury to the eye
