Replacing the Halogen

Tubes Switch off and unplug the halogen heater from the mains power supply before attempting to replace the halogen tubes.
It is recommended to have replacement bulbs fitted by a qualified electrician, to avoid damage or injury.

  1. STEP 1: Remove each side panel by unfastening the top and bottom screws.
  2. STEP 2: Slide back the plastic cover on the clip of the halogen tube that needs to be replaced. Detach the clip from the halogen tube by gently pressing the locking mechanism and pulling the clip away. Repeat for each side of the halogen tube.
  3. STEP 3: Gently bend the metal tabs and remove the mica panel from each side of the halogen tube that needs to be replaced.
  4. STEP 4: Taking hold of one side of the halogen tube by the plastic end, carefully remove it from the halogen heater. Check that the halogen heater has cooled down sufficiently before attempting to replace halogen tubes. Take care not to drop the halogen tube inside the halogen heater whilst removing.
  5. STEP 5: Holding the plastic ends of the replacement halogen tube, carefully insert it into the halogen heater. Do not touch the glass casing as this can reduce the lifespan of the halogen tube. Replace the mica panels over each end of the halogen tube and then secure the metal tabs back into position. Reattach the clip and then slide the plastic cover over the clip for protection. Check that the clip has locked properly by gently pulling on the connection.
  6. STEP 6: Fasten each side panel back onto the halogen heater.
