Instructions for Use
The Arctic Dome is designed to operate with or without ice packs. For optimum cooling, it is recommended to fill the ice packs with water following the instructions below, and then place them into the freezer for 3 hours.
Filling the Arctic Dome
Before filling the ice packs, make sure that the Arctic Dome is switched off
and unplugged from the power supply.
STEP 1: Open the ice pack access door and pull the ice packs up and away
from the Arctic Dome main unit.
STEP 2: Take the ice packs, unscrew the caps and fill both packs with
cold clean water until they are about 80 % full. Replace the caps and slide
the ice packs back into position, making sure that they are seated properly.
Alternatively, freeze the ice packs for 3 hours for additional cooling.
STEP 3: Carefully close the ice pack access door.
STEP 4: Once the ice packs have been used and are warmed back up to the
ambient room temperature, the inside of the unit can be wiped down with a
soft, damp cloth. If there is a significant amount of water in the bottom, the
drain plug can be pulled from the bottom of the Arctic Dome main unit.
TOP TIP: Freeze one pair of ice packs whilst the other pair is inside the
unit so that they are always readily available.
CAUTION: Do not fill the Arctic Dome ice packs with any liquid other than
cold, clean water.
Do not use any additives in the water.
Using the Arctic Dome
STEP 1: Plug the Arctic Dome into the desired power supply and press the
power button to turn it on.
STEP 2: The desired cooling speed can be selected by pressing the cooling
speed button. There are three-speed settings available (1-3). The selected
level is indicated by the light ring intensity.
STEP 3: Turn on the mood light by pushing the mood light button; turn it
off by clicking the mood light button once more.
STEP 4: To use the aroma feature, twist the aroma box in an anticlockwise
direction. This will cause the aroma box to detach from the main unit. The
absorbent material is designed to soak up essential oils and slowly release
the scent through the normal use of the unit. (Essential oils not included).
Twist the aroma box clockwise to lock it back into position.
STEP 5: Turn off the Arctic Dome by pressing the power button.
NOTE: Always drain and wipe down any excess water and allow the Arctic
Dome to dry after each use to avoid a build-up of limescale and bacteria.
The Arctic Dome is not designed to significantly reduce the room temperature
but will provide a localized cool breeze for a small space.
CAUTION: When positioning the Arctic Dome, do not lift it by the front
panel. Keep the Arctic Dome level when filled with water to avoid spills. When
the unit is on and the ice pack access door is opened, the fan will
automatically shut off to prevent injury. Please switch off and unplug the
Arctic Dome at the mains power supply before performing any care and
maintenance or adjustments.
Storage
Drain the ice packs and allow the Arctic Dome to cool and dry before storing it in a cool, dry place. Never store the Arctic Dome whilst it is wet. Never wrap the cord tightly around the Arctic Dome; wrap it loosely to avoid causing damage.
