Safety Instructions
- When using electrical products, basic safety precautions should always be followed.

Battery Safety
- Do not short-circuit a cell or battery.
- Do not store cells and batteries haphazardly in a box or drawer where they may short-circuit each other or be short-circuited by other metal objects.
- Check that the battery compartment is secure.
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as those recommended should be used with this product.
- Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
- Remove any batteries from the product when it is not being used for a long period of time to avoid leakage.
- Exhausted batteries should be removed from the product to avoid leakage.
- In the event of the batteries leaking, do not allow any liquid to come into contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
- Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Remember to keep button cell batteries away from children at all times as they can easily be swallowed.
- Seek medical advice immediately if a cell or battery has been swallowed.
- The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
- Exhausted batteries must be removed and disposed of safely.
- Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
- Do not crush, puncture, dismantle or otherwise damage batteries.
- Do not expose batteries to heat or fire as they may explode.
- Do not subject batteries to mechanical shock.
- Do not dispose of batteries in household waste.
- To dispose of any batteries, take them to a local recycling station. Contact the local government offices for details.
- This product requires a 1 x 3 V CR2032 button cell battery (included).
Care and Maintenance
- Clean the scale with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth.
- Do not immerse the scale in water or any other liquid.
- Do not use harsh or abrasive detergents to clean the scale.
- Keep the scale dry.
- Store the scale away from direct sunlight.
Activating the Battery
Activate the battery by turning the scale on its back and then pulling out the
tab, tucked underneath the battery.
Unit Conversion
To switch between weight units, press the unit change button to cycle through
the available options. Observe the digital display and place the scale onto
the floor when the desired unit is chosen.
Using the Glass Digital Scale
STEP 1: Stand on the glass platform to activate the scale. The digital
display will flicker between measurements as the weighing process occurs.
STEP 2: Once measuring is complete, the digital display will flash once
before showing the weight.
STEP 3: The scale will switch off automatically after approx. 6 seconds.
Note: Always use the scale on a flat, hard surface. Do not use the scale
on wet, uneven, or carpeted surfaces as this may affect the accuracy of the
weight measurement.
Installing or Replacing the Battery
STEP 1: To replace or install the battery, turn the scale onto its back
and remove the battery cover from the base.
STEP 2: Carefully remove the exhausted battery (if applicable) and
dispose of it safely.
STEP 3: Insert the new battery (1 x 3 V CR2032), observing the correct
polarity.
STEP 4: Replace the battery cover on the base of the scale.
Note: The scale may begin to function intermittently or display false
readings if the battery life is running low. When the battery life is
critically low, the digital display will show a low battery and the scale will
automatically turn off. If this occurs, replace the battery following the
above instructions.
Warning: Do not use rechargeable button cell batteries with the
appliance.
