SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Failure to follow all the instructions can result in the risk of electric shock, fire and/ or serious personal injury. Save these instructions and safety instructions for future reference.
- The term “power tool” refers to your mains powered (corded) or battery. powered (cordless) power tool.
Workplace
- Keeping the work area dean and well Cluttered and poorly lit work areas can lead to accidents. Do not use power tools in explosive environments, such as in the vicinity of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools produce sparks that can ignite dust and fumes.
- Keep children and onlookers at a safe distance when using the power tool. You can easily lose control of the tool if you are distracted.

- Use personal safety equipment. Always wear safety glasses. If you use personal safety equipment such as safety gloves, dust filter masks, non-slip safety shoes, safety helmets or ear protection (depending on how the power tool is used), this will reduce the risk of personal injury.
- Avoid accidental starting. Make sure the power tool is switched off before connecting it to the power supply and/or battery, or before lifting it up or carrying it. If you keep your finger on the power switch when carrying the power tool, or plug it into a PowerPoint when it is switched on, this can result in an accident
- Always check that Allan’s keys/spanners etc. have been removed from the power tool before switching it on. A tool or key left in a rotating machine part can result in personal injury.
- Do not overreach. Always maintain a firm footing and good balance. It will then be easier to control the power tool in unexpected situations. Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose fling clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving pads.
- Always check the power tool before use, and if it has been knocked. Repair the power tool if it shows signs of wear or damage. Do not use the tool if the brush is damaged or not properly secured.
- Always check that the tool is in good condition. Failure to do so can result in serious injury.
- Always use the guards when working with the power tool.
- Never use the power tool if the safety devices are damaged or missing.
- Keep the work area free from loose stones, metal, pieces of wood, and other hard objects.
- Make sure the brush is not touching stones or debris before starting the power tool. Keep your hands and feet away from the rotating parts, especially when starting the motor.
- Never use spare parts or accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer. Always make sure that the ventilation openings are free from debris. Avoid accidental starting by never carrying the power tool with your finger on the power switch.
- Always work with a safe and stable posture.
Use and care

Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for the planned job. With the correct power tool, you will work better and more safely within the specified performance range. Do not use the tool if it cannot be started and stopped with the power switch. A power tool that cannot be switched on or off with the power switch is dangerous and must be repaired.

Unplug the power cord and/or remove the battery before making any adjustments, changing accessories or putting the power tool away. This precaution prevents accidentally starting the power tool.

Store power tools out of the reach of children when not in use. Never allow children or anyone who is unfamiliar with the power tool and these instructions, to use the tool. Power tools are dangerous if used by inexperienced persons.

Keep the power tool properly maintained. Check that moving parts are properly adjusted and do not jam and that no parts are incorrectly fitted or damaged. Check for other factors that could affect functionality. If the power tool is damaged, it must be repaired before being used again. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.

Keep cutting tools sharp and dean. Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp blades jam less often and are easier to control.

Battery and charger
- Charge the batteries only with the charger recommended by the manufacturer.
- A charger intended for a specific type of battery could be a fire hazard if used with other types of batteries. Only use power tools with the specified batteries.
- The use of other batteries can result in the risk of personal injury and fire. When the battery is not in use keep it away from metal objects like paperclips, wins, keys, nails, screws, and other metal objects that can short circuit the terminals. A short circuit between the battery terminals can result in bum injuries or fire.
- Incorrect use can cause liquid to leak from the battery. Avoid contact with battery fluid. Rinse with water after temporary contact. Seek medical attention if you splash your eyes. leaking battery fluid can cause skin irritation or burn injuries. Keep the charger away from water, rain, and other liquids. This will help to prevent the risk of electric shock.
- Keep the charger clean. This will reduce the risk of electric shock.
- Always check the charger, power cord and plug before use. Never use defective power tools. Avoid opening or repairing the charger. This work must be carried out by a qualified person who uses original parts. This will reduce the risk of electric shock.
- Never use the charger near flammable materials (paper, textiles, etc.). This reduces the risk of fire.
- Never open the power tool. This will reduce the risk of electric shock.
- Protect the battery from heat, direct sunlight and naked flames. This will reduce the risk of an explosion. Incorrect use of the battery and charger can result in the emission of vapor. This vapor can be harmful to health.
- Never short circuit the power tool. This will reduce the risk of an explosion. Damage or incorrect use can result in the emission of vapor from the power tool. If this is the case, consult a doctor to check your respiratory tracts.
Service
- The power tool must only be serviced by qualified service personnel using identical spare parts. This ensures that the power tool remains safe to use.
Blushes
- Do not fit brushes on machines that run faster than the maximum brush speed.
- Do not use damaged brushes.
- Discolouring as a result of rust, or other signs of chemical or mechanical modification of the brush material, can cause the brush to wear out in advance.
- Store brushes in a suitable place, protected from the following:
-High relative humidity, heat, water, and other liquids can damage the brush.
– Acid or vapor from acid can cause damage.
-Low temperatures can result in condensation on the brush.
– Deformation of part of the brush.
WARNING
- The brush continues to rotate after the motor has stopped.
- Do not attempt to stop the brush with your hands. Always allow the brush to stop by itself.

Always wear ear protection.

ASSEMBLY
Fit the guard
Fasten the guard on the brush head with three screws. FIG. 2
Fit the brush
- Press in the spindle lock. FIG. 3
- Put the brush on the axle.
- Fasten the brush with the wing nut.
- Release the spindle lock.
USE
Intended use
This power tool is intended for removing weeds from between border stones and
paving. It is not intended for bricked surfaces. Only use the power tool for
its intended purpose. All other use is considered inappropriate and will
invalidate the warranty.
Adjust the angle of the brush head
- Hold the power tool in a firm grip.
- Press the lock button to adjust the angle of the brush head. FIG. 4
- Adjust the angle of the brush head to the required position. The brush head can be set in five different positions (-36°, 18°, 0°, 18°, and 36°).
- Release the lock button and check that the brush head is properly locked.
Adjust the length of the telescopic handle
1. Unscrew the bottom part of the locking screw.FIG. 5
2. Adjust the required handle length. 3. Tighten the locking screw.
Choose the right brush
The power tool is supplied with one steel brush and one nylon brush. The steel
brush is suitable for robust surfaces and stubborn weeds. The nylon brush is
recommended for vegetation and surfaces that are sensitive to the steel brush.
NOTE:
- Always start by testing the power tool on a sample to see what effect the different brushes have on different stone or paving surfaces. Do not use the power tool on sensitive materials like bricks.
- Only use brushes that are in good condition. Replace worn or damaged brushes immediately.
Use
- Always hold the power tool with both hands.
- Move the power tool along with the space between the flags.
- For best results work at a steady pace.
- Work the same place several times if necessary.
MAINTENANCE
Always remove the battery from the power tool before carrying out maintenance.
- Always keep the safety devices, ventilation openings, and motor housing free from dust and dirt.
- Wipe the power tool with a clean cloth and clean places difficult to get at with compressed air.
- Do not use aggressive detergents. This can damage the plastic parts. Check that no water has got into the tool.
- Clean the casing with a brush.
Storage
- Remove the battery from the power tool before putting it away for long-term storage.
- Store the power tool and accessories out of the reach of children in a dark, dry, and frost-free place. The ideal storage temperature is 5 — 30°C.
- Store the power tool in the original pack.
