WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL
Instruction Manual
Thank you for purchasing the JJC BTR-S1 Wireless Remote Control. For the best
performance, please read this instruction carefully before using. You must
read it thoroughly and fully understand this manual to avoid improper
operation which may result in damage to the product.
The JJC BTR-S1 Wireless Remote Control is compatible with Bluetooth low energy
technology, which is specially designed for select Sony cameras. It allows you
to remote your camera wirelessly with an operating distance of approx. 10m /
32.8′ in any direction. The BTR-S1 can be used for shooting still image,
recording video, adjusting camera focus, zooming the camera and activating the
camera’s C1 or AF-ON function. You can disable all the buttons on the remote
control in order to prevent unintentional operations while you carry it around
by sliding the LOCK switch to the “LOCK” position. The remote is portable and
you can put it in your pocket or hang it on your key ring. It is powered by a
CR2032 battery (included). JJC BTR-S1 replaces Sony RMT-P1BT remote commander.
WARNING
- Do not use any batteries not specified in the instruction manual.
- Do not insert the battery’s plus and minus ends incorrectly.
- Do not disassemble or attempt to repair it.
- Keep the battery and battery cover, etc. out of the reach of children and infants. If a child or infant swallows the battery or battery cover, etc. consult a physician immediately.
- Before using the product inside an airplane or hospital, check if it is allowed. Electromagnetic waves emitted by the product may interfere with the plane’s instruments or the hospital’s medical equipment.
- A thorough explanation of how to use the product by an adult is required when the product is used by children. Supervise children while they are using the product.
- Do not expose the product to high temperature over 45°C (e.g. left in a car trunk).
- The product is not waterproof. Please keep it away from rain, snow and high humidity conditions.
- Do not clean the product with organic solvent or alcohol-based liquid.

INSERTING THE BATTERY

Place a coin, or similar object, into the groove of the battery cover on the back of the remote, and then turn the battery cover to I position.

Remove the battery cover and insert the supplied CR2032 battery with “+” mark side upward.

Turn the battery cover until you reach • position.
CONNECTING THE REMOTE CONTROL AND CAMERA
Before you start, please check that the remote control’s LOCK switch is in the position to opposite of “LOCK”.
- On the camera, select MENU > [Bluetooth Function] —> [On]
- On the camera, select MENU —> [On]
- On the camera, select MENU —. [Pairing]
- On the remote control, press and hold the Shutter ReleaseNideo Recording Button and the FOCUS/ZOOM Button (T button) at the same time for at least 7 seconds.
- When a confirmation message appears on the camera’s screen, select [OK]. When pairing is complete, [Paired.] appears.
In the following situations, pair the remote control and the camera again. ()When using the remote control to operate a different camera (After having connected the remote control with a different camera, you also must pair the remote control and the original camera again when connecting to the original camera) ®When the camera’s network settings have been reset

PREVENTING UNINTENTIONAL OPERATIONS

Slide the LOCK switch to the ‘LOCK’ position.
